I 'd bet the original developers who created San Andreas back in 2004 have looked same footage as presented here. They captured early 1990's vibes very nicely.

They were mostly all from Scotland and Scotland in 1992 was nothing like Compton in 1992.
It’s crazy to think about how GTA San Andreas came out in 2004, set like 12 years earlier. That would be like a game coming out now, completely dripping with style and iconic references, set in 2010. I feel that it could not happen whatsoever lmao
I think it's the pace and evolution in technology in part that made GTA SA so iconic. There was also quite a bit more of socioeconomic and cultural shifts from the early 90s to 2004, as opposed to 2011 to now.
Could possibly happen in gta6 set in the early 2000s but who knows

I just realized when SA came out in 2004 it was closer to 1994 then 2004 is now 💀like GTA3 was modern when it came out in 2001 and now it’s from an older time then the nostalgia of the early 90s in 2004. I’m having trouble getting my words but you know what I mean,

90's had internet but it was dial up and 90's styles had swag it was a mix or old and new unlike today where it's ok for dudes to wear tights, dresses, skinny jeans and all kinds of weirdo shit however Mario and sonic ruled throughout 90's alot of video games though were hit and miss but the creativity was through the roof, which is something that's also lacking in this generation.
yeah there weren't any social media u just either had to go by word of mouth or read magazines to find additional information. "The 90’s weren’t perfect" actually it was the music was timeless, sports across all genres was at all time high, movies was original and wasn't a remake 24/7 and nobody had to deal with remakes, reboots and remasters every fucking year, and didn't have to worry about consistent hackers getting ur private information and cheaters in video games which is common today. in 1999 i had to go to the library if i wanted to go use the internet shit wasn't as assessable as it is today. the only way u had to get internet was dial up or deal with aol cd or floppy disk to install to ur computer which can takes hours or days.
SA set in 1994 coming out in 2004 was something so special because the 90s was a fun and interesting decade. 2004 was a special time for us then too.
