Vanessa, I watch and listen english during 3months but i cant understand fast english speaking exactly yet ):
10 advanced English phrases
1. Nothing wrong with that. A Consoling way to say that something is fine. There is nothing wrong with not following every fashion trend
2. A man of few words. A person who doesn’t speak much. My boss is a man of few words, so when he gave me a complement, I felt really proud.
3. The be-all and end-all.Considered to be essential or ultimate . Love is the be-all and end-all in life.
4. To hit close to home. To affect you deeply and emotionally.
5. To last. Enduring or existing for an extended period of time.I didn’t expect the snow to last, but it hasn’t melted yet.
6. What goes on. What happens or happened, maybe behind the scenes.
7. On other ends of the spectrum. A way of constructing two things. We are on other sides of the spectrum.
8. To perfect something. To improve or master something. My dad is always perfecting his apple pie recipe. I want to perfect my English.
9. To see if. To try and do something to Inquire. I wanted to see if you were interested in ordering pizza?
10. There is no such thing. Something isn’t believed to be true. There is no such thing as a free lunch.
