Funny how you give Derketo's voice as an alternative for the Reach of the Red Mother, but have Yog's Touch as one of the weapons that are "hard to get". They both drop from the same boss with both the same drop chance.
I have always been a fan of the Venom Infused weapons because what they lack in base damage they make up with secondary effects. Cripple and/or Bleed plus Poison. If you and your thrall are both running Venom Infused weapons, you can drop just about anything fast.
Azrael Bloodgamer Big fan here, too. The only drawback is the pitiful durability, even with a reinforcement kit. I suppose they’d be way too OP if we could make them last longer.

Back when we were still building up our army, dragonbone weapons were the base equipment for our thralls. Crafting materials easy to farm and basically the best craftable weapons in-game, barring some exceptions, like Telith's Sorrow or a couple serpentman's flawless weapons with slightly higher armor pen. Nowadays, we have a couple dozen chests filled with legendary weapons, so we don't really craft them anymore, but we remember fondly the days of the overpowered dragonbone pike.
I use mainly dragon bone weapons, the recipe is really easy to get and they are craftable with easy to get materials. No fancy bonuses on them but they get the job done.
That's very true, the only downsides to Dragonbone weapons are they are heavy and have low durability, so you have to repair them often, still... dragon bones are easy to get a hold of :)
Before I could make the black ice swords, all my thralls and myself ran with dragon bone weapons. Legendary stats that you can craft and self repair with just dragon bone so you aren't stuck hoping you can have a legendary repair kit on hand.
The Huntress bow from boss chests falls fairly often. It also gives you that accuracy bonus, and you can equip all your thralls with it. I was playing solo and had 6 thralls with The Huntress guarding my base. Couple of clans that came to raid me were quite surprised hehe
Black Ice Broadswords are great thrall weapons, as are Telith's Sorrow great swords. Dragonbone Waraxes are also really solid, if you're having bad luck with the legendary drops. I've never managed to get a Sword of Crom, but a fully kitted Blade of the Adventurer or Aja's Bane will tear down just about anything in the game in the hands of a good thrall. Almost any of the legendary maces or axes will get you down the road.
The Blackice weapons were a go-to for me. Relatively easy recipe to get and the materials weren't horrible to farm up. Just prepare with some cold gear
I rock Javelins as Melee weapons with shields. Basically Spartan/Hoplite build. They do superb damage, they only cost a couple bars to fully repair and they are easy to make as you progress to better ones
I managed to pick up the Papyrus Blade from a legendary chest. Not having a Sword of Crom or either of the others you mentioned, I found this blade very effective for my thrall.
True, especially Beserker thralls are unstoppable with this 2H sword, Lian and Dalinsia are able to soloing pretty much everything with this blade (except Arena champ AFTER the last patch).
For the Axe: Ancient Lemurian Axe Sword: The Wight Blade (legendary chests Daggers: Akbitanan Blades, The Grim, The Shank Clubs/maces: The Unintelligible/Star Metal/DragonBone Shields: Mistmourn and Solspeil are my go to shields, but I also like the Akbitanan Shield, because you can increase its durability to 30,000
note: the executioners axe kills mobs and bosses that have 5% Hp left instantly BUT it's still bugged because your thrall will *not* get exp if the enemy got killed with the executioners axe. Same goes for the Sword.
I like Aja's bane when I can't find a nortis. Eye of Khan I believe is another legendary bow that gives extra accuracy. But, my favorite weapon of them all is Telith's Sorrow. Lol. Another good sword is Jedias Greatsaber. So many cool weapons in the game. 😄
Venom Greatsword is a wonderful weapons. For PVE- with 5-6 second head start good luck pulling aggro off your thrall. In PVP any combo affect weapon is awesome especially when one slows you down.
I’ve lucked out on obtaining the Scorpion Shield and tend to cart that one around when I’m in a shield mood. My friends opt for Mistmourn and Solspell. Unfortunately, they tend to get the heat and cold protection mixed up and wind up with the wrong shield for the environment. Ha! Before I got the scroll for the Venom-Infused Daggers, I enjoyed Misha’s Bite. I switch between those and the VID when I don’t feel like burning a fragment of power to repair the VID. I keep forgetting about the Daggers of Dagon. I haven’t found Yog’s Touch yet, but the Lemurian axe is a decent weapon. My 2nd favorite thrall and I are currently rocking the Venon-Infused Axe at the moment, though. (Favorite thrall has the Glimmermoon, as noted in previous comments.)
There's a somewhat cheaper alternative to repairing the VID. Two, actually. - The first one is having a tier V (or tier IV purge, whatever) blacksmith. They let you craft legendary weapon repair kits, which can restore everything to its full durability, and they're quite cheap. - The other one is a little bit more unintuitive: use a dismantling bench to salvage the VID. It refunds the fragment used to craft them, so you just need to craft them again.
@@melaniesuzanne6965 T5 blacksmith is the single most useful artisan in the whole game. We wouldn't be living in a huge fortress without one of these fellas crafting steel reinforcements for 1/5 of their original cost. The repair kits are a nice bonus, but not having to farm for literal tons of iron is the real game breaker here.
It maybe a strange choise, but I have had extrmeme sucess on single player mode, using the craftable legendary bows from the DLCs. Alternate I actually use the star metal bow, with the poison arrows. I found that there is few things that actually does more damage than a barrage of poison gas arrows, espcially on groups. , remain mobile, use a gas mask, and simply fill the area with poison. Now some bosses and mobs don't really think poison is all that big a deal, for those I tend to simply use other arrow types, a trial and error thing. for close up fighting I prefer a polearm/spear with either a dagger or a sword for backup, if a sword than I also use a shield. again I rely on remaining mobeil and use the terrain, like jumping on a ledge and spam arrows or stab with spears. combat is about winning, not being fair
The only 2 that matter.... in my pvp opinion.... spear and axe! The best farmable options are actually ancient Lemurian axe and dragonbone spear. The best options being yog and mordlun.
Favourites for PVE : The Festering One, Yog's Touch, Axe of the Lion, Blade of the Adventurer, Predatory Blade, Scythe of Thag, pristine Khari bow (purely for aesthetics), Reach of the Red Mother. Get yourself a purge Blacksmith, and always wear Godbreaker boots for passive repairs 🙏
I had the scorpion ward and I died then game crashed making me lose all my stuff I had that and the predatory blade I ended up rage quitting for the entire day
I'm still pretty new to the game but I have got some things down but still figuring out others as for favourite weapon that would be the katana it's heavy strike timed properly can you be quite helpful against A.I in the game I don't even know if it has a legendary variant as I play console and not pc
Musashi’s black blade is a legendary Katana that drops from skeleton key chests. With master fitting does 65 damage with 25% pen. The insane PVP Katana is called Blade of the seven winds which has 100% armor pen (would recommend oil of agony on it) the blade has a small chance to drop from killing the Red Mother in the unnamed city.
The 2nd best axe is lumerian axe u get from the fish dungeon it only takes starmetal to make and its 60 dammage 21 armor pen with a master weaon fitting Also with daggers and pvp the 2nd best by far is sets tonge cuz its clensing whitch makes your opponet much easyer
I give Glimmermoon to my thrall, it only lights up when there's an enemy nearby, but that's enough to let my Player Character use a bow, daggers, etc in the darkness.
Lemurian Axe is craftable and got dezent armor pen . Pikes the dragonbone cause high dmg and you can posion with sandreaper posion or Skorpion posion as legendery weapons. Shields we prefer Starmetal for Same dura and high dmg.
The Hollowbone bow can ONLY fire Hollowbone arrows. And as some additional info: the jhebbal sags prowls also give your enemy 2 bleed for each LIGHT attack

@@Firespark81 I'll have to check it again later to make sure that it is actually correct, but neither me or my clanmates were able to equip explosive arrows per drag and drop when we went to farm starmetal on our last server. And I've watches a guide of the youtuber "Maeroths Spielwiese" who also said that that bow is only firing Hollowbone arrows. I'll have to double check it when I get home this afternoon but I'm pretty sure that's how it actually is
@@Firespark81 I'd have sworn it's actually the other way around: trying to drag an arrow to the bow doesn't change its ammo, so you have to either equip them in your hotbar or select them in your inventory and press F. If we're having this conversation, I guess it's also still bugged for thralls.
Pretty OP before its armor pen got nerfed. Nowadays it's just meh. Its damage is too low even for its 33-34% baseline armor pen, and other 2HS with slightly lower AP but much higher damage outperform it even against the highest armored targets (about 80% damage reduction from armor). I actually made a spreadsheet and I'm currently redoing it because I lost it, but I clearly remember Annihilator not being worth it at all. Telith's Sorrow, Baal-Pteor's Razor, Papyrus Blade... now those are good 2HS.
you need a legendary weapon/armor repair kit for it. They drop from bosses in the unnamed city and purge blacksmiths can make the weapon repair kit. Once completely broken, legendary items can't be repaired
You can also sneak into the un-named city and get the repair kits from iron chests hidden around. I do this if I happen upon a good legendary before I am able to safely battle the bosses. Legendaries that are low on durability are still useful for equipping thralls, even if you cannot repair them!
You can also farm The Nemedian helm from the Skittering Caverns spider boss. There are different ways to use it effectively. FireSpark81 has also made a video about how to use it.
Blunted arrows. They do 55 concussive damage on both light and heavy attacks. That's actually the best in the game. Szeth's Truncheon only gives 45 and 50 while Lovetap gives 15 and 20. Try adding an Advanced Blunted Weapon Fitting to a bow to get +12. Lovetap can also be used to sunder, but so can practically all the other maces. Take your pick.

I have most of those Firespark because as I mentioned in the last video I farm the birds. But I really really like the spectral axe. You get a spectral thrall that has the axe and kill it and loot it of them. It NEVER loses durability. It's on 42 dmg and adds corruption but when out farming for more I like to run it. That way all my good stuff doesn't lose durability while just gathering feathers or dragon bones or mats. Of course boss fights I use a better weapon. Question, as I haven't played in 6 months but I used to use the executioner's axe but when it executed the mob died but there was no exp given to me or the trall. Just curious if this has been fixed or if anyone else sees this?
@@tobi___0450 Possibly now but mine was attained in a trade over a year ago and it has yet to lose any durability. so I run it unless its a boss mob then I run bow with several arrow types and a legendary spear to keep things at a distance while thrall does the killing. arrows the first slot is just pulling arrow 2nd is poison 3rd acid 4th healing 5th light for caves 6th explosive for blowing up things occasionally use firespark81 arrows in place of another such as skeletons don't take poison arrows. also, I can run any 1hander and a shield for tight quarters like dungeon hallways etc. I obviously don't carry all of that I just plan for where I'm heading.

He uses a Mod that actually shows the last weapon/tool equipped in the appropriate place (2 handers go over the back, and one handers and tools hang from the belt). I cannot remember the Mod name though.
My favorite weapon was always the act of violence bcuz of it's high damage and it's effects like bleed and shield smash. Then again it's been half a year since I played so it may have been Nerf bcux I thought the act of violence was the best axe in game

Actually it sounds different if you use Norwegian/Swedish/Baltic/etc pronunciation. Soul SPEEL not Soul spell and MEEST morn (rhymes with horn). Basically you have enunciate from the front part of the mouth and not middle part. When I was baptized, my Mom had a local bakery make a cake for me. They were Swedish but spoke English with a German accent. The bakers kept saying Huge for Jude. She was beside herself the cake would have Huge and not Jude on the cake but it was all correct in the end.
I really like Glimmermoon too, but I'd like to know if there are any legendary short swords? Those puppies are great for their heavy x2 then light x3 attack. Above all the lovetap is my favorite for telling all the NPC's how nicely I'm going to treat them once they give in to me 😉

I want an alternative to Lovetap
Blunted arrows. They do 55 concussive damage on both light and heavy attacks. That's actually the best in the game. Szeth's Truncheon only gives 45 and 50 while Lovetap gives 15 and 20. Try adding an Advanced Blunted Weapon Fitting to a bow to get +12.
Lovetap can also be used to sunder, but so can practically all the other maces. Take your pick.

Or u can put a blunt fitting on a predatory and use heavy attacks only.

I have most of those Firespark because as I mentioned in the last video I farm the birds. But I really really like the spectral axe. You get a spectral thrall that has the axe and kill it and loot it of them. It NEVER loses durability. It's on 42 dmg and adds corruption but when out farming for more I like to run it. That way all my good stuff doesn't lose durability while just gathering feathers or dragon bones or mats. Of course boss fights I use a better weapon. Question, as I haven't played in 6 months but I used to use the executioner's axe but when it executed the mob died but there was no exp given to me or the trall. Just curious if this has been fixed or if anyone else sees this?
Does it not lose durability? That's how it used to be but then they changed it. Didn't know they changed it back
@@tobi___0450 Possibly now but mine was attained in a trade over a year ago and it has yet to lose any durability. so I run it unless its a boss mob then I run bow with several arrow types and a legendary spear to keep things at a distance while thrall does the killing. arrows the first slot is just pulling arrow 2nd is poison 3rd acid 4th healing 5th light for caves 6th explosive for blowing up things occasionally use firespark81 arrows in place of another such as skeletons don't take poison arrows. also, I can run any 1hander and a shield for tight quarters like dungeon hallways etc. I obviously don't carry all of that I just plan for where I'm heading.

He uses a Mod that actually shows the last weapon/tool equipped in the appropriate place (2 handers go over the back, and one handers and tools hang from the belt). I cannot remember the Mod name though.

As a genral rule of thumb, I prefer craftable weapons.
Legendary weapons are far better, and in the unamed city you can farm plenty of legendary weapons repair kits to fix 'em up.
Yea but if you have an army of thrall to arm, craftabiles are far more abundant.

My favorite weapon was always the act of violence bcuz of it's high damage and it's effects like bleed and shield smash. Then again it's been half a year since I played so it may have been Nerf bcux I thought the act of violence was the best axe in game
They removed the crit chance so - at least for PvP - it's kinda useless now

Find a place with many obstacles, that will make it hard for the rider to maneuver, and aim if they are using bows.

Actually it sounds different if you use Norwegian/Swedish/Baltic/etc pronunciation. Soul SPEEL not Soul spell and MEEST morn (rhymes with horn). Basically you have enunciate from the front part of the mouth and not middle part. When I was baptized, my Mom had a local bakery make a cake for me. They were Swedish but spoke English with a German accent. The bakers kept saying Huge for Jude. She was beside herself the cake would have Huge and not Jude on the cake but it was all correct in the end.

I really like Glimmermoon too, but I'd like to know if there are any legendary short swords? Those puppies are great for their heavy x2 then light x3 attack.
Above all the lovetap is my favorite for telling all the NPC's how nicely I'm going to treat them once they give in to me 😉
