I was the admin for Sympathy of the Seas October 29, 2023 solo group. We had about 150 members. We met at Playmakers and the Schooner bar on day one. Fourteen days later we had spent the entire cruise hanging out with each other doing different activities. We enjoyed each other so much that we decided to cruise together again in 2025. So I agree with you. Yes, we did become friends. And we became supportive of each other and our personal lives, which is very nice. And I agree with you about talking to the crew members. I always talk to each of them. From my state room attendant to my waiter to the next cruise desk and the person vacuum in or sweeping the area, I always stop and say hi to them. And have a conversation with them. As far as my favorite cruise member, there's too many to mention. They're all my favorite.😊
I so agree with getting to know the crew, especially cabin stewards and dining staff. Febi and Ford took care of us last year on our Holland America cruise to Alaska, and we will never forget them. And, yes, I agree, no cabin upgrades! hen booking a cabin I pick one with a cabin above, below, and on each side to avoid any noisy elevators, pool decks, and night clubs. Thanks for sharing!
Getting to know the crew is wonderful! They are so happy to talk to you, especially about their family and their home country! Thanks for bringing the idea to the forefront!
We were in a group for our Disney trip on Facebook and they were very active and we chatted a lot. We are now in a royal group and the people don't talk. We post questions and ask things and nobody ever says anything. Rather disappointing and I hope it picks up soon
After 16or 17 Years We took an up grand on Holian American and the Cabin was FANTASIC !!!! BUT WHEN We LOOK OUT THE Baloney We had a BEAUTIFUL view of the LIFE BOAT so that was the last Up-Grade We took ..hahahhahh
Love #4 My cruise attendant's name on Oasis is John, and he's from Peru or the Philippines. Unfortunately, I don't remember. Also, thanks for #5. I'll check it out 😊!
I never knew about the FB roll call. I have four cruises booked for 2024, and I belong to all of them now. Love the information needed and shared. I have even helped a few new cruisers. I did not realize we booked a cruise during the Halloween holiday. wow, I'm so glad someone mentioned it. We have costumes already to go now, something normally pass on. This sure is fun and helpful.❤❤
Hi Jason, I saw a video where you tell about what to do when you first enter your cabin, and one thing was check for begbugs, a fear of mine certainly. I would like to know how you do that. Many thanks, Mark
I was wondering, my cruise is almost a year away. I would like to book on my celebrity app one specialty dining. It’s easy to do but they expect payment. What if something happens and I don’t end up going on the cruise. Will I get reimbursed for my specialty dining?
Mixed on the roll call, too many stupid people who worry about stupid stuff. I meet better more intelligent people in person. Pay the price be done with it if you can't aford the price stay home. Crew yes i enjoy talking to them, and having fun. I know they miss there family.

I agree with them all except the one about mingling with folks.... I do not go on vacation to mingle🤣🤣🤣🤣

Roll call, then people know you won’t be home. Even though we have cameras and an alarm system, this is not a good idea.
Besides your great tips and tricks for Cruisers, do you have a great voice for radio or television!

We have an Alaskan cruise booked this summer. So far I've called Celebrity twice and saved a total of $1400 from my original booking! Good tip!

Greatly appreciate all your tips! Thank you!
These are good tips, Jayson. Well done.
Good points. Thank you.
I went on cruise watch and did not find my cruise? Do you know why? I would like updates on price drops.

Yes anything like dining, shore excusions, or internet are refunded if you cancel or don't make the cruise.
