A personal favourite of mine, I produce them regularly here in the UK (wild type, axanthic, blonde and blonde axanthic) and they are a real pleasure to keep, as you say...they are very unproblematic other than getting the hatchling feeding, although I would say 80% pose little issue...one thing I would add is they do favour smaller prey items than you would think, with even my adults only taking adult mice when to look at them they could easily take large rat weaners...they seem prone to regurgitating large meals so its worth erring on the side of caution r.e food size...great video as always!
Hi! I'm new to the snake world. I've been watching lots of videos about how to care for them, but I don't really know where the best place is to get them. If you have any advice, it's always welcome! Thank you :)
That blonde color with the markings is just drop dead gorgeous! I'm just loving some of these natural subtle beauties. So happy to be getting away from morphs in my collection.
After my childhood fox snake, this was my second rat snake. A wonderful animal, slightly shy, but very handleable and a nice display animal too. Well done Sir!
What a beautiful snake! I'm really enjoying all the different interesting rat snakes that you always show. Thank you for opening my eyes to how awesome the rat snake group is.
Hey man, just wanted to say I've been checking out these videos and I really appreciate you giving an in depth look into each species and I don't mind rambling on about taxonomy at all. I especially appreciate the attention given to the American colubrids from north, central to south, as I feel a lot are often overlooked and underrated. I know these don't always get the views they deserve so I just wanted to say thanks, I look forward to more, and cheers from California. ✌🏼🐍
Im so unbelievably lucky. I live on a square mile ranch in texas hill country and live only 4 hours from where west tx starts. For that would be sonora tx.
Great Video. I have adult “Axanthic” Bogerophis Rosaliae, If you wanted to make a video on them I would be happy for you to use. Also have another species that would make a great introduction video, adult Drymarchon couperi.
Amazing animals. Beautiful, angelic, and incredibly gentle.
Can’t say enough about these amazing serpents....
Always wanted to see some in West Texas
Excellent content
I love the big eyes- I want one just because of that.
Most underrated beginner snack of all time. They are so chill

I put your series on shuffle when I’m doing maintenance in the snake room. Your content is gold man. Keep it up!
