We love you Zoe. We missed you . Welcome back. God bless you.! Hope you accomplished all you had planned and got enough rest, because, we are ready for all you have to offer us now, on a consistent, steady, frequent, daily schedule ( just kidding). But it sure is great to have you back. I am excited what you have in store for us.
Hi Zoe !i couldn’t watch the video right away, but I missed you! I love your videos so much! I have been into fashion since I was 6 !thank for keeping me going in this awesome journey! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hey Zoe i'm a long time fan ! I graduated from fashion school in 2019 and I use to watch your videos while I worked on my projects! Even now I still enjoy watching your videos while I sew.... listening to you talk about fashion is very entertaining!
OH MY GOD! YOU ARE BACK AND I AM HERE FOR IT. I started watching you when I got in college 5 years ago and now I am working and still learning from you. 💙
We missed you. Glad to see you back. :) would like to suggest future video topics: tips on how to create a more cohesive collection and how to create a fashion brand book. Thank you. Sending you much love from the Philippines.
I have watched it fully and i really missed you...i am actually a quantity survey very much interested in fashion...you channel does me justice...God bless you..
Hi Zoe, thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience. It is not only inspirational but educational. Thoroughly enjoying your video's. Wishing you continued success with your passion. Thankyou
Yay! She's BACK! As binge watching new subscriber (nearly caught up on all your videos), I was getting depressed, afraid I soon wouldn't have any more Zoe Hong videos to keep my mind, memories of past fashion careers, focus on keeping productive and happily entertained, while staying alive and creative during this pandemic. As a first patternmaker, I learned so much about garment fit by watching and working with production patternmakers in the fitting room back in the 80's (Yes, I laugh when you call yourself old!). I've realized since I've started doing alterations and restorations of vintage garments for a friend, not a lot of people get schooled in these lessons. It's so important, whether your are working with individuals or you are mass producing a line. Your queue is probably still so long, could you add a fitting video to it? PS. I ordered two books from your previous book reviews and love your input and advice on suitability for your varying audience! Welcome Back!
Hi Zoe, welcome back. I hope you make to Paris to see the Thierry Mugler exhibition. I saw the one in Montreal in 2019 at the Museum of Fine Arts. To see the clothes and construction up close was magnificent! I am not in the fashion industry but his creativity and artistry is brilliant.
Wooo! I am so excited to see you back! Also, I appreciate how thorough you are with choosing your book recommendations. Do I need most of them, not really, BUT I am an information hoarder who likes to help people who aren't. so I will probably buy them anyway. Thanks for the recs!
Welcome back! I've missed you but also hope that you achieved all of your goals while on hiatus. Two of the books you presented I already have. Johanna's jeans book filled in some of the smallest issues for me, as I seem to get stuck there. Whereas the major issues that everyone struggles with aren't an issue for me. Also a great beginner book. I'm so glad that I bought it. Fast Fit I've had for ages and it's one that I recommend to just about every one. Its what finally got me out of the self torture of trying to force my body into the industry size standard. In the year of college, where I learned about sewing, never was different body shapes addressed. Lengthening or shortening a pattern was it.
I'm excited to check out some of these books! I hope you're able to make to Paris, that sounds wonderful! I've never been but perhaps one day I will go. 😊
Hey Zoe! Greetings from Malaysia 😊 I am in interior design field right now, but fashion design was always my dream. And I am planning to learn soon and that’s why I found your channel! Love your content 😍
Thank you so much for the recommendations Zoe! You've no clue how much your videos have helped me during my exam time!!!! Your channel is such a blessing since most of the information you give us is not taught in colleges 🥺 I just can't thank you enough for all of this😭😭😭❤❤❤
Welcome back! Thank you for keeping home sewers in mind. Fast Fit by Sandra Betzina has been on my bookshelf for a long time. I’ve pulled it down often to consult. I am tired of the phrase “it looks too home made”. We home sewers make well fitting and fashionable clothes for ourselves. Just follow us on social media platforms to find out. 😐
This comes at perfect timing 😍😍 I’m about to finish my degree in economics soon and I’m seriously thinking about going back to uni for fashion. So every book helps in deciding whether I’m ready to switch to this career path. So far I am all self taught (and your videos helped me so so so much) but I’m just so eager to learn more, I’d love to study every aspect 😍 Thank u so much for the recommendations and shopping via your link is the least one can do to support u for your great content! ☺️
I'm happy to see you again, Zoe! I've been watching your videos hardcore to learn to draw figures and work through a creative design process. I appreciate the collaborations with Robin for photoshop also. We used it for our creative process class here in New Zealand. ❤️
Hi Zoe! Big big fan, I’ve watched and learned so much from your TH-cam videos for years! I’ve recently (4 months- and I’ll explain why that’s important to mention later) started at my first job as an official assistant technical designer for a women’s athletic wear company. I was working hand in hand with our head designer, up until she decided to move to a different state and work remotely. The CEO of our brand, in many ways, is the creative director and likes to take charge in a lot of the designing process. A few weeks ago he decided (for a plathora of reasons: both because of how complicated it had become to communicate through the distance and because he just didn’t feel she understood his vision for the brand very well) it wasn’t working out and has decided to fire our head designer. As so, he has decided that by what he’s seen through my work that I have what it takes to be the head designer now😳 Mind you, I just got out of fashion school a year ago, and as I mentioned earlier, I’ve only been working at the brand for 4 months and some change As so, I feel that I have very over the surface knowledge of patternmaking and designing (especially when it comes to athletic wear) Do you have any book recommendations or maybe even courses that I could look into that you think would help? I specialized in technical design in college but I feel as though my, again, limited knowledge of pattern making (especially with knits), draping, and construction has me at a slight (to put it mildly) disadvantage, so ANY recommendations would be dearly appreciated!!
I’m really glad you included books that are great for those making for themselves or individual people- that’s what I’m doing currently, and having a book that helps with fit, would be amazing. As it is, I just kinda wing it and do many mock-ups. It’s more intuition than actual knowledge, so that fit book is definitely going on my to buy list!

Yaaaay your back😊🎉🎊🎈
Welcome back, just checking something on your videos only to find this one as the first on the list and I am happy. Welcome back again.
