Great style but why not go 50% of the range electric? Clearly buying a fossil fuel car now, means that it will be totally out of date within 2 to 3 years. Not to mention devaluation.
Out of date why? Why every clueless person thinks EVs are just going to replace everything in 2-3 years? It is impossible, the power infastructure can't support it in any country in the world. As for devaluation, with the rate EV tech is improving, especially for batteries, by the time EVs become mandatory they are going to be much better and much cheaper than now, so current EVs are going to devalue just as badly.

this car is built in germany and their employees will buy it with - 15 % . The used DS 4 will sell well in germany
Looks great, but electric is the future. That's where I'm headed
A more luxurious Peugeot 308, but it has the same engines.
Just one word says not to buy this car "Depreciation"
to the contrary , i wait this car for used car ! ratio price / equipement perfect.
As for devaluation, with the rate EV tech is improving, especially for batteries, by the time EVs become mandatory they are going to be much better and much cheaper than now, so current EVs are going to devalue just as badly.
to compare this car with audi a3 or skoda is like comparing a michelin star restaurant with mcdonald's... nice joke!
Oh come on, Audi and Skoda aren't that bad, are they?
@@PedroConejo1939 also mcdonalds is not so bad
It's a Citroen, nothing wrong with that but why dress it up as something else? Folk are not daft.
by that logic, A3 is just "shrunken Škoda Octavia" and A4 is "minimzed Škoda Superb"
A strange looking vehicle that will likely have customers in some places, but it is clearly fringe. I can’t understand why someone would buy one, given the choices out there. Let’s face it, French vehicles aren’t known for being particularly engineered.
it looks like you haven't been near the French cars in the last 10 or so years... ;)
@@mirkozlikovski9553 I rented a Citroen C5 for 2 weeks in Morocco 2 years ago. Does that count? Although new, it was an odd car that was not at all impressive. Perhaps things have changed since then.😛
Admittedly, it was like an SUV.
@@pacmanc8103 well... it does count... in a way. if you rented C5 Aircross (which is an SUV). but if you rented C5, then not really. because it was developed 15+ years ago, came to market in 2008, was built on completely different mechanics, and would be as such completely uncomparable in any way with DS vehicle, developed "last year"... even if you could find one in "brand new&top trim" condition, let alone in over 3 years old (because they stopped its production in 2017), beaten up rental vehicle in north Africa ;) :). (3 years old rental vehicle is most likely in rather "not that impressive" state even in Sweeden... :D)
and you have to bear in mind that qualitative difference in perceived quality, level of finish, used materials, and built-in tech of current DS, compared to its "Citroen sibling" built on the same platform is greater than it is with Audi compared to VW... :/
@@mirkozlikovski9553 It was a C5 SUV with around 4000 km on it - ‘Air’ something rings a bell. Odd headlights, kind of a weird steering wheel, and it felt unstable and bouncy at freeway speeds - drove it from Marrakech to Casablanca and up to Fez on freeways and regular highways. It was definitely not a vehicle I’d recommend purchasing - perhaps the company has made vast improvements over this 2019 model (must have been with 4000 miles in August of 2019).
But nevertheless Golf über alles!
You guys compare this to the BMW?? c'mon on guys...the amount of time n money invested in research, innovation and vision is not even a percentage of these fashionista cars...
What you say only exists in the 5 series onwards, the same in Mercedes, the 1 series, A class etc., ares a generalist cars with a premium logo, nothing to do against this DS ..
Germans can still take out garbage at sky-high prices that people will still consider them superior cars lol
@@alexlcap2396 German cars are overall superior
Alex Lcap with the german premium you buy a rich lifestyle , you want to imitate the rich poeple who can buy class S . germans have all understood , the brand image is almost the most important thing and they invest again and again to keep their advantage since decades. It ´s an industrial logic top
well, it's not like that PSA builds cars "from yesterday".... they too invest large amounts of time n money in research, innovation, and vision and they do it for 100 years or so.... if DS is a newly formed brand it doesn't mean that there is no knowledge, heritage, and technical legacy behind it...
Its way too weird looking and way too french.
The interior looks weird and dosent look that good.
Would rather buy a BMW anytime you ask me.
(Reliability is much better since ive owned 4 Modern BMws)
Holy fuck! LOL, that push in and pop out door sounds so damn cheap!
Not at all.
