I really needed this information, followed it step by step. My printhead was a mess, a lot of ink residue and caked on. Finally got it cleaned, put everything back together and now it's giving an error code 031004 foreign object possibly *sigh* i'll go through your other videos to see if you had this problem and have a solution. I took my rollers out for a sublimation dtf hack...I reget it cus my prints for my tumblers are off....is there a way I can put them back...thanks for yur content

I had clogs on both my whites so I took it apart and cleaned and wet capped under the dampers got everything cleaned and smooth and put back together now I'm not getting any ink at all and I only took off and cleaned the white cartridges. Any idea what it could be? Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I need your expertise. I took out the printhead to check it put the dampers back in which are mostly empty. Now it is not printing any ink at all. I have the Epson ET 8550 the ink dampers on them have the huge hole in the bottom of them so you can’t siphon ink through them. Any ideas on how to prime the dampers, someone online said to remove the waste tank and put a hose and syringe on the little outpost but all that does is suction air no ink….. assuming that the dampers need to be primed somehow

I followed this to the T. Now I have put everything back and my printer won’t even power on ! And Epson won’t help me at all in Aus as they say I must of tampered with it.
Any idea where I can find a damper replacement? The little plastic nozzle the tubbing goes over snapped off on my magenta. Be very careful messing with the dampers ! I’ve been researching, and replacements are no where to be found !

I'm not sure what you mean by skipped lines, if your nozzle check is missing lines it could because the head is clogged, the capping station or wiper blade being dirty could also be the cause for missing lines. Also after removing the printhead, run a power clean to push ink back into the dampers and printhead
I see you work on this printer a lot.. have you ever found the sensor that detracts the paper.when it is feed through . I was told it was in the print head .. and that when it will not see the paper you can just go in and clean the sensor
I have tested the sensors. the sensor the underneath the printhead is for the printhead to detect the length of the printer. The PE sensor is the one that detects film.

My local Microcenter appliance store typically has 1 one on the shelf. Try them if you have one near or any other electronic store in your area. Big box chains typically don't have them in stock
You have options, and this is one of them. ANY printer, even if using regular inkjet ink is going to require maintenance and part replacemet. Nobody is going to force you to do an Epson ET 8550 conversion. You could spend $15k on an actual DTF printer. Enjoy which ever option you chose/choose

Sure thing. be careful taking out the printhead, don't let any moisture get on the chip underneath.

I used small screws, just something to stop the flow. Don’t have to be exactly what he used

Yeah you might need to clean the dampers, they tend to soak up any loose ink in the head.

Also I found some like rubber particles all around the head like something rubber may have fallen apart it was broken into little shreds.

Its doesn't matter where the inks are. Adjust your rip settings to match your ink tanks

When you run the power clean, it will pull ink into the head, that usually does it.

if you put your hand and seal the the damper ink input ink wont flow out of the damper output, it will get trapped due to vaccum

My local Microcenter appliance store typically has 1 one on the shelf. Try them if you have one near or any other electronic store in your area. Big box chains typically don't have them in stock

All part of learning DTF and using the printer for DTF.
You have options, and this is one of them. ANY printer, even if using regular inkjet ink is going to require maintenance and part replacemet. Nobody is going to force you to do an Epson ET 8550 conversion. You could spend $15k on an actual DTF printer. Enjoy which ever option you chose/choose
