I have the white colorway and I think the shoes aren’t bad . They just don’t play light weight or fast . Ankle padding is a1 and I think once you break in the cushion it’ll be nice

I actually got the NXXT Gen because i needed an every day wear shoe that looked great...never got them for play. but the traction and durability of the outsole over a few months held up so well that now they are my hoop shoe! I am like 120 and 5'6 and eternally the fastest guy on the court for adult pickup and these allow me to embrace the natural off-the-ball movement and speed that I have. But they are also extremely durable and I have never felt uncomfortable making any movement in them. My first low tops and now I am hooked.
These are more mids in my opinion, but I agree with everything you say, trying to get them on sale so fingers crossed 💪

I heard from a couple of youtubers and a nike employee that the midsole phylon?(cushlon?) foam was changed to be a bit more softer than the original NXXT Gen. Is it true?

I'm curious why you claim it has a full bed of Cushlon. Nike's product page doesn't say anything about the foam other than being soft.
I got this colourway, but in the uk they aren’t patent leather but a nubuck instead, I wonder why that is as the nubucks not great I can’t lie🤷♂️
I have both nxxt gens and the 21s. I prefer the regular nxxt gen by far the most. Imo they are the best everyday basketball shoe. The 21 is definitely a better bball shoe.
The mic’d 🎙️ up jumper was decent.
AMPD gives better containment but original nxxt gen is just noticeably lighter so i like the original nxxt gen more
Same here. I bought the purple/blue as soon as it came out. I didn't even realize they were the amped version. I don't play as much as I want so I'm gonna stick with the regular nxxt Gens.

Are there two diff material types for this same shoes ?
It really seems like at this point, the Lebron 20, NXXT Gen, 21, and NXXT Gen AMPD are all just 4 versions of the same shoe. Tech features and soles are near identical. Really just variations of uppers, personally my favorite is the 20, but I definitely can see why some people would like the NXXT Gen for lighter weight or the 21 for some extra stability. The AMPD, Im not really seeing the appeal to purchase them over one of the other 3.
Personally nexxt gen would be my choice still, only thing i dont like uppers are kind of impossible to clean and the sole does not really last so long

you should checkout the initial release of the AMPD version. the design and colors it's a based off of lebrons original air zoom generation (which was only retro'd once i believe and was really limited release) so i'd consider the AMPD version almost a spiritual successor the AZG
Is it only me or the nxxt gen ampd's midsole is abit softer than the first released nxxt gen
Ampd just looks like a winterized version of the original...the original is pretty nice.
I just mine, same model, from Nike. My leather isn't patent leather, it is a matt finish

No because that’s not accurate - we know this from cadaver studies of humans prior to closed shoe gear- plenty of great textbooks and articles on the subject if you are interested.

Any reason why these get a higher score for impact protection vs the Lebron 21? And doesn't the NxxtGen/AMPD use Phylon instead of Cushlon?
The shock absorption category? They were both the same- and theres so much Zoom in the shoe the foam, to me doesn't matter really
@@FootDoctorZach In the Lebron 21 review you gave them a 5/5 for bounce and 4.5/5 for shock absorption. Like you said basically the same thing lol, just wondering if there was a difference you noticed.

If anybody's concerned about the grip of these, don't be. I wear these to work and I work in a chemical factory around artificial. Graphite it's slippery as hell. These shoes I wear so I can walk down the hall. Nothing else with grip. I never wiped them off at all and I don't ever slip

To all who read this message. I need your honest opinion guys. I’ve been wearing 20s all this time because it suits me a lot. I got two of them because its really great. But its time for me to have a new one. Can you guys recommend me, which one should i take, the 21 or ampd? I love the ampd colorway but some people said 21 is much better.
@sholehwibowo740 my honest opinion is the original Nxxt Gen. The 21 ankle collar kinda digs into my ankle and the Ampd it basically the Nexxt Gen but not as breathable. But I'd say 21 ultimately if you had to choose
