Thank you for mentioning that the bone should be raw and not cooked, all the other bone tool making videos I've watched never specified. :)
Very interesting, thank you for posting. Do you know if a porcupine quill could be used as a needle? Also, how would one bore an eye in a bone needle without an iron tool?
Very interesting and might even get me to try.
I just saw a video, where they used a nerve channel as the hole. Pretty cool.
Informative, thanks!
I wonder if snake rib bones would make sharp hook needles, I don’t recall ever seeing any.
Their bones are really really delicate. I doubt they'e hold up to being used like that.
Very interesting 👍🏻
Do you need to season the bone first? (And I dont mean spices..)
Thank you!!!!
Cool thanks
This is really interesting. The right sleeve being cocked-up bothers me, though--- haha (seriously) hahaha
sitting here with my bone nalbinding needle while being told they are primitive. um.....we still use them!
Cheers mate
So, you used a triangle file to make the hole. But what would our ancestors have used...? 🤔
a fine stone tool ig?
