I shall update this comment afterwards incase anyone is reading this and is considering to buy the Kiwi head strap.
I still will go all out and buy the elite with battery because I want a case and extra battery when playing. With the graphics and going to 90hz or 120hz even the battery will drain faster so will want to make it last longer without having to recharge it but I been just plugging it in when it gets low and unplugging it when back to 100% anyways. If you were to do that then yeah maybe you wouldn't need an extra battery. I sure hope the Quest 2 Pro comes with a built in battery in the back to make the front a lot lighter and it will give more space to keep it cooler as well.

Shame the M2 Pro has such long shipping times of about a month or more no matter where you buy it from. I feel like I should buy another strap to hold me over in the interim.
BoboVR altered their headstrap so that their battery pack is placed on via a magnet, meaning it can be easily removed and replaced. They also made their own carrying case that fits the Quest 2 with their headstrap. So they effectively fixed most of your issues which I find kinda comedic.
Everyone is different and need to find their own best result imho. For me, it was simply adding inexpensive pads to the stock strap plus velcro strapping a 20000mahr external battery pack to the rear head strap.

They said they fixed it but I don't think they did. Don't but it, buy the kiwi elite battery strap. It's better, more durable, and cheaper than the original if you can find it on sale. It's like 40% off on amazon rn I think.
@@blake2697 , biggest issue with many of these others is that they don't fit the carrying case which I kinda like. I read that many just get the standard elite strap without battery and just fasten some battery on the back there with velcro.
I've tried 4 headstraps for the Q2, and, after using this now for almost 2 months at over 2 hours at a time, this is the best strap by far. Absolutely bloody excellent 👍👍👍
OK, +2 month update. I had been pretty happy with the stock strap with rear back/top pads and a 20000mahr battery velcro strapped to rear strap with a short 1.5ft battery cable. After watching this review I tried the Kiwi Elite strap. While it was pretty comfy I found that the rear pad tended to slide up on the back of my head and I did not like the fact that the rear knob stuck out so much. I got these from Amazon so they were easy to send back for a refund. I then got the Oculus Elite strap with battery (no case) that was on a prime pre black friday sale at Amazon. After +1 month use I have to say that this is by far best for me. I like how the rubber back plate cups the back of my head better and does not ride up like the soft/cushy Kiwi one. I also like that the rear knob is flush with the rear strap so it does not poke into the back of my gaming chair. Also, the battery nicely balances the headset and the knob adjustment lets me get the headset closer to my eyes for a bit better FOV and is very stable if I quickly move my head around. Also nice that the Q2 monitors and lets you know the % charge left in both headset and strap batteries. For almost unlimited runtimes I can either connect a charger or external battery pack to the strap battery charging slot. Now I just have to hope the strap lasts, lol! The box it came in says it was made Aug/2021 so hopefully this batch is a bit sturdier than earlier batches. Time will tell I guess.
@@AdmiredMatt I think Oculus may have sorted this out with their latest batch, dated Aug/2021. Worth buying imho but try to buy from places like Amazon that have easy returns in case you don't like it.

I had bobovr m2 before, but it broke after a week of use. I also feel very loose. Later I compared kiwi and aubika. I purchased aubika excellent headset with battery. After using it for a few days, I love it very much. I am puzzled why no one recommends it.
My Elite strap started cracking after about 4 months and proceeded to get a new one every month after that. Screw that thing. The only thing I don't like about the default strap is pressure on the face. Even with silicone cushion I hate having it on my face.
Great video! I started with the elite strap which broke a month after i bought it. Now I'm using the frankenkit with from vive but the oculus keeps falling down my face lol

I passed vrdisco's video kiwi vs aubika. I bought them separately on Amazon. The back support of kiwi is not good, and the relative aubika material is better. I chose to return kiwi. I think aubika is a neglected but best headwear product (compared to the official ones, Orzero, kiwi, and bobovr). I bought bobovr before and unfortunately it broke after a week.
I found the default bobovr set up uncomfortable too, but I saw someone suggest somewhere to turn the rear padding upside down, and that is definitely more comfy for me (still not perfect, but a LOT better). Maybe worth trying that :)
Bobo has been my favorite up to now. It broke this morning. only had it since july. Snapped at the headrest and arm. Just ordered it again and a kiwi to try. I have an elite strap by found Bobo to be most comfortable and balanced. Plus i like not having that center strap
@@brianmaupin923 i kind am swinging still between them. Kiwi is comfortable. The Thicker top band is nice. Its got some good cushion just like the pad that sits on the back of your head. i also like the tilt feature where you can put it up without taking it off. doesn't have a halo like bobovr though. things i like about the bobovr is the halo and those little fingers with padding on them. could be a little bigger though. but its nice not to mess your hair up like you can with a center strap. overall i think the kiwi seems like a better construction. seems like it has more substance when you pick it from the back of the strap. So all and all. I think mixing some of features between the both would be good.
Hard to beat my Quest 2 setup. 1) Best strap is the *Vive DAS* (super comfortable, solid built-in headphones, has springs for easy peak & venting, and looks awesome if you like black). 2) Get a 3D printed adapter set from Etsy, to mount the deluxe audio strap. 3) I also added the Apache comfort strap (over forehead) & rear battery strap from *studioform creativeVR.* (I used a simple rubber band to keep my 600mAh battery from sliding out). I get over 6 hrs in _Population One_ ☝🏼 4) like most ppl suggest you need the *VR cover* face plate & halo bumpers or Kiwi grips
I really, really unlove the TH-cam written words stopper machine! So let me try to write this so the double-plus unsmart machine conversation unlover doesn't delete my comment, again: The newest BoboVR M2 Pro has a battery mounted above the back headstrap part for better balance. You can find it on the river in South America's spider home site for only just over ten Starbuck's white chocolate mocha ventis. I'm going to do more research but that looks like the one I'm going to get.
My first Oculus Remote Strap broke after about 3 months. Recently my replacement Remote Strap also started to crack. I used white duck tape to secure it. Wish I would of just home with HTC Vive DAS from the start.
The stock strap isn't good for anyone, I have thick long hair and the strap still digs into my head. It also lifts of your face when you down. (I do that a lot)
Do you think either of these would clip onto the quest 1? Or maybe with a 3d printed part or even just cable ties? If you could test that then that would be amazing! Also, I'd really love a follow up video on the vive focus 3, how it is now and if you have been using it etc. Thanks for the great videos!
I'm sure it's possible the bigger question can it run crysis 🤣 just messing with ya but seriously though I wonder if it can fit in the case with it on 🤔
Still may well break like the elite strap. Read on forums all those elite trypsin of straps break. I like the psvr. The straps on the quest are thin stiff plastic and end up breaking. Don’t have any issues with the strap supplied. It’s comfy enough. Think people are just so fussy nowadays.
Hardly. The strap supplied sucks. Constantly have to adjust that crap and constantly rides up. Hardly any support. Think people are really starting to lack standards these days.
Dennis, the quest 2 has added weight being wireless and that strap applies it all to the face. Everyone has different contours and dimensions but the weight isnt balanced regardless. Balance is important in almost all facets of life, the human neck is no exception.
The bobo vr is more comfortable for longer play but can suffer from feeling loose when moving quickly so i recommend the kiwi design one for games like gorilla tag and echo vr

My original bobo vr strap broke after a year. Right along the hinges on one side. Plastic is not a durable material.
I've tried 4 headstraps for the Q2, and, after using this now for almost 2 months at over 2 hours at a time, this is the best strap by far. Absolutely bloody excellent 👍👍👍
Which one?
@@gteaz the Kiwi design elite strap.
what facial interface cover are you using?
Vr Cover fitness one
What cases work with the Kiwi Strap without having to remove them from the device?
The original quest case works if u take of the black cushioning on the back of the elitestrap. Saw it on amazon when I bought my kiwi strap just now
Is this the upgraded Kiwi Design? If so, Amazon UK says not available until end of November?
It was already in stock at the beginning of October, and I have received mine, soft, comfortable, and built well.👍
Will the rebuff reality battery pack fit on the kiwi elite strap?
I want to buy the elite strap with battery but all the reviews of it breaking scares me off a little bit. Do you think it is worth buying?
@@AdmiredMatt I think Oculus may have sorted this out with their latest batch, dated Aug/2021. Worth buying imho but try to buy from places like Amazon that have easy returns in case you don't like it.
Great and informative video!
I think it would be cool if someone figured out how to make a helmet that the quest 2 snaps to that allows you to flip the quest 2 up like a visor.
I would love that!!
I have one, it's called the Frankenquest
Well that's weird. I could only find something called the MomoVR M2. Is this a knockoff?
I wanted to buy the Kiwi design but a bunch of reviews say that it breaks easily
I just bought this it looks simple comfortable and epic
Is it bad
It must have taken a rocket scientist to design a padded strap. I've been putting a rolled up tea towel under my strap for 10 months. Duh!
Its not a lack of padding that is the problem, its weight balance though more face padding may help in that regard and/or cause other issues.
the original strap doesnt hurt my head or anything but its a pain to adjust
the bob vr mr 2 does come with a strap btw, btw does the elite strap cut into anyone elses ears?
Great video thanks! do you know if this kiwi headstrap fits in the original oculus quest case ?
Yes but you need to dis connect some parts n reconnect again
I got the Bobo Vr head strap back in June I loved it until I noticed it had cracks now I’m scared that it’s gonna break at any moment and I need to get another head strap but i don’t know if I should get the Bobo Vr again or get a different one I was thinking about the kiwi elite strap but on Amazon there’s a lot people saying that the top head piece comes revealing The foam inside.
Whereabouts were you getting cracks on the BoboVR? So we can keep an eye out. Thanks.
I wonder if you could reinforce where you see cracking?
My bobovr developed a hairline crack (and I am super careful). Try contacting them. They should send you a replacement! (I think this was a design fault with the early ones)
I’m used to the pain of the head strap the quest 2 comes with at this point (I’ve played for one year)
im seeing alot of mixed opinions. my quest 2 is soon to arrive in the mail and i have yet found a strap that will suit me best, i was going for the kiwi until i found out its out of stock ):, i need something not too pricey (under 50-60$ at least) but good quality. can someone helpout?
i just tried the bobo and it keeps sliding up and feels very loose. i dont know if i have it on right and i dont have the battery on it but so far i dont like it at all
I had bobovr m2 before, but it broke after a week of use.
Did you buy the elite strap recently or a while ago?
Adicop a2 pro with battery, I just bought this it looks simple comfortable.
Faltou sobre o bobovr m2 pro com a bateria magnética. Exelente conteudo. Parabéns.
Well I just got to Bobo based on one of your previous videos, so . . .
Yeah, the Bobo is great.
We’re did you get the face mask on it?
I hate everyone saying "it depends on your needs" why watch this then...what do you think is the best? No one ever says. I'll take "its a tie" anything for one of these videos to give me a straight answer of their opinion.
Ok I’m a Noob to VR so I Got me a Quest 2 and Went to Playing Some Games . The Stock Strap OMG hurts , Sucks and Is a Thorn In the Quests Side. So First I Got The Head Cradle adapter that Fits on The Original Strap and It Helped But didn’t Do it for My face. So Do so Searching and Found The Bobo and Similar Halo style Straps . I Got a Cheap 25$ China Version Halo strap and It’s So much Better then the Stock one But also Still Hurting my Face. Now I’m shooting myself in the Foot Not Getting The BOBO instead of The Knockoff Version of the BoBo. Now The Kiwi Is Looking real Nice I have Charging blocks galore and Modding Any strap is NO prob idc what it Looks like long as It’s functional. Thanks for the Info So Guess I’ll Buy the BoBo And the Kiwi 🥝 need Options right
Kiwi did a good job.
The bobo vr strap I find extremely uncomfortable. And the back keeps slipping up risking my unit falling. I’m going to try the kiwi one next.
How is the kiwi?
Bobo has been my favorite up to now. It broke this morning. only had it since july. Snapped at the headrest and arm. Just ordered it again and a kiwi to try. I have an elite strap by found Bobo to be most comfortable and balanced. Plus i like not having that center strap
What do you like more, the bobo or the kiwi?
@@-Karnage I haven't decided yet. Running Kiwi right now. Kiwi Sits differently on head and face than bobo halo strap.
@@jpreville Any update? :)
Sorry to ask you again, but wich one do you prefer?
Hard to beat my Quest 2 setup.
1) Best strap is the *Vive DAS* (super comfortable, solid built-in headphones, has springs for easy peak & venting, and looks awesome if you like black).
2) Get a 3D printed adapter set from Etsy, to mount the deluxe audio strap.
3) I also added the Apache comfort strap (over forehead) & rear battery strap from *studioform creativeVR.* (I used a simple rubber band to keep my 600mAh battery from sliding out). I get over 6 hrs in _Population One_ ☝🏼
4) like most ppl suggest you need the *VR cover* face plate & halo bumpers or Kiwi grips
I've seen you underneath several videos talking about different straps.
Nobody cares about your setup that cost you 200+$
Is this compatible with VR covers thin pads?
Yes, also It should work with any frontal pads as these are only interfering with the back and side potentially
I really, really unlove the TH-cam written words stopper machine! So let me try to write this so the double-plus unsmart machine conversation unlover doesn't delete my comment, again:
The newest BoboVR M2 Pro has a battery mounted above the back headstrap part for better balance.
I found the original strap the best.. the Kiwi one gave me a massive headache at the back of my head after 5 minutes
Anyone in the comments that own the kiwi head strap does it crack or break or have you had no problems at all in the long run
No problems so far!
I'm sure it's possible the bigger question can it run crysis 🤣 just messing with ya but seriously though I wonder if it can fit in the case with it on 🤔
The original strap is so horrible. I can’t even get it to fit on my face properly. Forsure buying one of these
Need one with a hinge and battery
Still may well break like the elite strap. Read on forums all those elite trypsin of straps break. I like the psvr. The straps on the quest are thin stiff plastic and end up breaking. Don’t have any issues with the strap supplied. It’s comfy enough. Think people are just so fussy nowadays.
Hardly. The strap supplied sucks. Constantly have to adjust that crap and constantly rides up. Hardly any support. Think people are really starting to lack standards these days.
@@xXJLNINJAXx Seconded.
Dennis, the quest 2 has added weight being wireless and that strap applies it all to the face.
Everyone has different contours and dimensions but the weight isnt balanced regardless. Balance is important in almost all facets of life, the human neck is no exception.
this video is talking about head straps and this niggas getting philosophical
Bobovr is better imo since there is no face pressure plus it puts your face closer to the lens, thus giving slightly more fov
BOBOVR M2 pro for the win. :)
This video is NOT sponsored, you just get money for showing them. I think there’s a word for that, I believe it’s sponsorship lmfao
Could someone give me their opinion for a heads trap for fast past moving a lot games. Games like gorilla tag and echo vr
The bobo vr is more comfortable for longer play but can suffer from feeling loose when moving quickly so i recommend the kiwi design one for games like gorilla tag and echo vr
mine broke after 7 hours of usage like bruh but im getting a kiwi design elite strap soon
Save your neck - put a power bank into a back pocket and put cable under the t-shirt. A bit inconvenient to wear but better for a neck.
Bobovr m2 pro best.
