    Thank you for sharing, we live in Gillingham and it is sad seeing the team not doing well, hopefully the new manager will turn things around.

    Christmas decorations up on Jan 2nd? Not surprising at all! Remember the song "The 12 days of Christmas"? Partidges in pear trees and so on?This goes on till 12th night, Jan 6TH when the Magi brought their gifts to Bethlehem....

      @@mariasummers-r9e I think it’s pretty strange to have Christmas related things up after New Year’s Day but that’s because presumably the run up to Christmas keeps starting from further back every year!

    Enjoyed the video. The away end will remain a running joke for many more seasons yet, though first time this season the scaffolding was open due to it being such a northern heavy league. Our hospitality is really decent for league two so glad you got to experience that as the ground (apart from the scaffolding end) is a pretty good standard for the lower leagues.

    • @the_footballtourist
      @the_footballtourist  4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@JamesTingley-c2r I think the away end definitely gives the ground a bad rep and since the Galison’s have come in the match day experience has become a lot nicer (I remember the food under Scally 🥴). The hospitality was very good too overall especially for a league two side!

    Really enjoyed the video, but the Gills are on a shocking run at the moment. Hospitality looked good, and off field events have come on strong. Its on field that counts most for the Rainham End of course

      @the_footballtourist  4 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @DavidGay-mu1yo That’s so true. Off the field the owners have made the match day experience so much better, but unfortunately that doesn’t win you games and the squad needs an overhaul

    Just watched for a second time, and heard the MOM award. What a laugh after losing 3-0. i watch the games live from here in Berlin, but am taking a rest after these last 3 abysmal performances. I have watched you on a couple of vids with Matt the Groundhopper, but have just joined your site too. Are you based in Kent, somewhere near the coast. Anyway, pleased you and your friends enjoyed hospitality, and meeting Neal Harris. Talk about him returning to the club, but please not as manager. Hope he enjoyed free hospitality, and returns home lol

    Wow i hope your mate had a couple of quid on 3-0 Bromley 😅 the food looked good and the Rainham End sounded in good voice before the game. I notice you had one Bromley fan in the hospitality 😅 sounds like it could've been 6. Pen was just the icing on the cake. Neil Harris to come back? Fair play to Bromley, their fans must have loved that. £30 more with all that comes with it isn't too bad!

      @@no_soy_rubio I’ll bet he wishes he did! But I don’t think so. I thought it was a good offering for the price in all honesty, you couldn’t do it every time and you probably don’t want to watch much of Gillingham right now 😅 as for Harris it’s an interesting one, given how his time ended I’d be surprised if he wanted to come back but he was clearly there for a reason 🤔

      @grahamcook9289 10 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @@the_footballtourist I fully understand your Christmas fatigue as it starts so early now, the commercial aspects long before December even. Christmas is meant to be a religious festival celebrating the Nativity that starts on the 25th of December and lasts for 12 days until the 5th of January. You must at some point in your life have heard the Christmas carol 'The Twelve Days of Christmas' where each day has an increasing number of gifts? Of course Christianity hijacked the celebration from the pagans who celebrated the winter solstice, the shortest day on the 21/22, as the planet's rebirth when the days start getting longer again and people knew that summer would return and with it plant growth and the crops that sustained life. Of course Christmas for Gillingham now means the rebirth of the Manager. Bit like when they change the Doctor in Doctor Who. The King is Dead. Long Live the King! 🤣
