Man i really love these comments, this was such a long and kind of bad video i made and its helping so many people. I have to make a remaster i the future
Wow good handling lol my vehicle always feels weird to drive. I wish I could understand how it actually works so I can create one myself based on what I need without just copying.
Its a bit hard since you also have to add some extra bearings to stop the suspension glitch, so this might confuse some people, but trust me when you keep making these even if you need a copy or reference, you will eventually understand it and be able to make it with no problems in no time.
Dude you have come a long way! Congrats on being so dedicated and getting to where you are man. Even if you don't seem to proud of this vid lol. Keep it up! Good to see a fellow resolve user :D
Scrap Mechanic sure is a weird game, (in a good way) I've played nearly a thousand hours of it, and I'm still not quite used to working around the glitches lol
i made a wishbone suspension on evercraft mechanic and i just build it real simple cause the game gets to laggy lol but along the way i build it i saw lots of bugs on the game lol some how i still made it work but some how the wheels are floppy and can't drive i ended up studying car suspension for a day lol i added sway bar i think that's what it's called? and it prevented the floppy wheel and when i landed wrong on a jump my car start to do a death roll
Yep the game is really buggy and fllopy, tried to make some complex suspension in there but bearing flop seems to add up stuffs weird, u can also not weld stuff. U should think of playing scrap mechanic sometine
@@DenserThanLead i wish i could play scrap mechanic lol but my pc is potato at handling it🤣 you can weld using a bearing or suspension or spring and it sucks but it's better than nothing 🤣
nah bruv, I see people wasting more bearings one a double arm design and leaving the suspension glitch in, so you will be fine. Removing the susp glitch is worth them extra bearings
@@DenserThanLead ah ok. The reason I thought it would lag is that my sister did a set up with three wheels on each corner for a big rig truck. Tons of bearings were involved and three suspension per corner. and while it was SUPER stable, it was also SUPER laggy. she insisted it was all the bearings. now I suspect it was all the bearings + suspension + the massive weight of the vehicle.
I made this in survival and the bearings which I hooked up to my controller in the back were just a flipped over version of the front bearings, and wouldn't work. How do I fix that?
I'm looking to utilize these for different types of vehicles as well, which would you recommend for a truck and which would you recommend for a fast explorer?
@@DenserThanLead i did that 6:08 thingy and it works somehow. Sometimes flops a bit as im using physics slider7 nowdays as it gets rid of the lag if u drive next to another vehicle etc..and makes bearings flop. Piston steering would be okay i guess, but then again there's problem of button configuration as it really sucks in this game as u can only use 1-10 numbers to assign those :(((( That's why i want steering working with a bearing as it works and no lag when turning :)
@@DeWorDeR So youre a low spec gamer, no problems i will make a video in the future about a suspension that does not use suspension pieces it help with lag quite a bit.
@@DenserThanLead i dont know is rtx2070 and 8700k low spec, but yeaa i want it to have like normal car would have those axles and suspension though game dont have bushings and need to make those using bearings + i use that slider7 coz i have other vehicles in my survival base what makes things lag like hell. I tryed building flying base and it has over 80 thrusters on level5 and it's on roof of my base coz it's too big no time to delete :DD (u could drive a car into the flying base)
3 attempts and you almost had it right every time lol. 1st attempt had 2 extra bearings on each suspension with no function. 2nd attempt you made it worse by adding an extra bearing to the same function (now at a staggering 48 total bearings just for driving) 3rd attempt you fixed your previous issues, but added extra suspension that i really cant see the purpose of. The only thing i can see it doing is pulling your wheels back up if something is forcing them down. Which is pretty counter intuitive. Have you tried making a double wishbone in a survival world yet? I cant get one to function properly without the wheels flopping out under pressure. The bearings arent as strong in survival.
@@DenserThanLead Doesnt the suspension have to collide with something for the effect to take place? I honestly dont know anything about the glitch. I have never tried to use it or been affected by it. If you remove the extra suspension on the last method, that is basically how i do it myself. And i dont have any glitchy behavior besides the wheel flop as far as i can tell.
@@DenserThanLead But you dont have anything to teach me?... How would the glitch affect the ride stability? Ive just looked at a couple of other videos of the glitch in action and i have never experienced any anti-pitch... When is the last time you had it happen? I only started in march this year, so it might have been patched at some point.

Yes"
Wow that's really cool I would of never been able to build something like this without this video
saving this for later

maybe thats just survival physics, bearings are weaker in survival
Also, my wheels are all wonky and go sideways due to the other bearings despite being hooked up the way shown in the video
It takes time to understand the game after 12 hours i found how to use most parts and make better suspension but tbh my car looks flat
aesthetic's are also a learning curve in this game, fortunately this is a easier part to learn.
you should try out gearblocks ngl dude my fav game
I have it, and have played.
Its a game really freaking good dev support (unlike scrap mechanic)
My only problem with it is how wheel traction is done
I've built all of these, just curious which one is your favorite?
I wouldn't say I have a favorite, I just apply them in the right use case.
I'm looking to utilize these for different types of vehicles as well, which would you recommend for a truck and which would you recommend for a fast explorer?
Make so the wheels turn too using only ONE turnable bearing :D
i tryed to do one. fps drop to 150fps to 9fps when i took it away from lift :DDDDDDD
