As always thank you for taking the time to make such education content available to all. I learn something every video, that I didn't know, and see tools that make we wish I could afford/justify the cost of them just for checking things. One can never have too many gauges and measuring tools. Then having such tools checking everything becomes it own hobby. A set of gauges and/or a piece of rope can keep many skilled people amused for a good while.

I just took my new Prime Weaponry BCG. My gun would extract. But not eject. The spring and the rubber bushing were so tight in the cup. Basically two coils of the spring were working. Replaced extractor with one that had a slightly larger cup that holds the spring. Works great now. New doesn’t mean it isn’t broke. It just means it’s new.

I really appreciate the physical of PSA's FoF BCG. I bought one and it seems great, as far as my 40 years of shooting knowledge goes. Price (on sale) was, imo, a great deal for what I got. That said, could you break down a 14.5" pinned & welded PSA Forged Sabre? I am considering purchasing one and am one of thousands, so it would be for the many. I'd, also, like to see how much better or worse they've gotten. I've seen and heard problems with the Billet Sabres. Anyway, thanks re the FOF BCG!

Micro-Best makes BCGs for BCM DD and Colt I believe. This is basically a BCM BCG without the BCM branding. You can get these for $145 and the Chrome lined ones for $175.
One of the best BCGs you can get hands down is a Sionics BCG, especially their NP3 BCG. They have probably the best staking method in the industry.
I would get a Micro-Best over almost any other BCG unless you're getting the aforementioned Sionics BCGs, LMT Enhanced BCG (L7Q3), Surefire OBC BCG, or a Forward Controls Design S-BCG.
Toolcraft also makes BCGs for a lot of companies and you can get their BCGs for $129.

      Sionics NP3 BCG
      Sionics BCG in Black Phosphate
      Forward Controls Design S-BCG
      LMT Enhanced BCG (L7Q3)

If you have a ferrous metal constantly interacting with another ferrous material it will over time become magnetic

I respect healthy competition, however biting on another company's name is some garbage tactics.. I'll stick with my SOLGW equipment, they put out excellent products and good customer service. (I'm not one to give a thumbs down on these vids, based on my opinion of the bcg, fwiw.)

This is my issue too. If they had just released a bolt carrier group by microbest as their own and didnt do this then I would probably be more welcoming of it.

@@SouthValleyKnifeCo that's it RIGHT there.. shoots, I'm not ignorant as to where Sons gets their products, we all know the parts kits are just rebranded Schmid Tool parts as is PSA's, however how they are marketed is a big issue for me. And that's some punk ass marketing that PSA did on this bcg. I'll spend the extra 20-30 buck on a SOL bcg for that reason alone.

@@yahsservant7509 SOLGW gets their receivers from Zev... PSA does not. Where they get their LPK I am not sure. Barrels are BA and their BCGs are well we know. So unsure where Schmidt comes in. But yes, this was a bitch ass move by chad Wylie

@@SouthValleyKnifeCo I was specifically using the lpk as an example of the two companies using the same product. Schmid is both their lpk manufacturer, including the "liberty trigger" and psa's " enhanced polished trigger". SOLGW pairs em with KNS detents.. not sure of psa's but they both feel the same to me..

@@yahsservant7509 SOLGW does pay extra for the KNS pins. Also it's not so much feel as it will be longevity. Plus having worked in the making of these parts. I can definitely tell you theres differing levels of parts that get sold at different price points depending where they fall on the tolerances. So it is reasonable to expect that SOLGW pays extra for the better parts.

@@itsamk18-ish I agree to an extent. However PSA blatantly ripped off their logo and had an extremely similar name. Something else is that SOLGW had specified from microbest that their bolt carrier groups were to have springco Springs in them. BCM and Centurion both do not even though they are both microbest bolt carrier groups. So the fact that PSA used a microbest bolt carrier group put it in a line of parts that bear is an extremely close resemblance to Sons of Liberty tells me it's a direct swipe at them that coupled with Chad's insane obsession with them for some weird reason this isn't a coincidence this is planned and it's disgusting.
