I've listened to many of your flute songs and playings and they are so very beautiful. I bought a flute, and am trying to learn over again. I'm 67 and haven't played since I was 5th grade through 12th grade. I miss it so much and the flute is such a beautiful instrument. I'm hoping it will help with my depression to be able to play well again, but I need to start from scratch. I wore my old flute out, so purchased a brand new one about 9 months ago. Nadi's Gymlife Too all u young and new students out there, and I'm sure Bevani will agree, that u have to practice and not give up. No one sucks, they've not had the experience and Training as Bevani, myself with fifty one yrs as I have. We had to start somewhere. Practice doesn't make u perfect, but it does make u better. My finger dexterity isn't what it used to be as I've broken mine. Keep practicing everybody.
I agree, connie. It takes many many years to master the instrument. year just to get understand the flute and 5-6 years to be able to play it the way it is supposed to be and 10 or more years to feel free. and Piano takes even longer than that....

UnlawfulAddiction it takes a lot of practice I play the flute already for almost 3yrs started when I was in 6 grade going on to be a 9 grader in a few months and it takes a lot of air but she breaths threw pauses or tries to sneak in a breaths but it's hard but it is a lot of work
I've been playing flute for about 3 to 4 years, and I can finally hit all the high notes and play along with her in the video. Let me tell you, it takes a lot of practice. You must know your note fingerings very well. The highest notes (high B, C, C#) involve pressing special trill keys as well as some normal keys, and it takes a very thin and tight embouchure to play them and hold the notes for long. Your air must be moving very fast. So it's very important to practice your breathing and harmonics. You must conserve as much air as possible, and use your diaphragm to propel your air. I asked Bevani, and she kindly gave me a few of these tips. Hope that helps!
Its called circular breathing. She breathes in and breathes out simultaneously by using mouth muscle and allows you access for nonstop plays.but takes a long time very hard to mastet
