There are no words great enough to describe the amount of peace and awe I am feeling right now. Gabriel's Oboe has always been one of my favorite classical pieces.
They played this song at my Gramp's funeral in November 2015, but with oboe. He bought me my oboe in 2006 as I left for college and changed my life forever- I wouldn't have been able to continue oboe if he hadn't. Heart wrenching piece. Your version is beautiful.

I played this song on the flute for a friend’s funeral as requested by her last week. I decided to play this song as it is always a spiritual for me. I was asked to play as the casket went down into the ground so I didn’t want to choose a song that was too emotional but a song that made me and hopefully others feel like we transcended to eternity. You gave me inspiration to work harder after I was disqualified from a major competition. I'm 11 and play the violin. I've always told that I need more body and facial expression which is why I think I couldn't make it to the final round of that competition. Your expressions, interpretation, and skills gave me inspiration and lots of emotion. Wowww, I think this is the best version of this piece as well as Yo Yo Ma's. Thank you for this video!
