I played this for my aunt as she slipped away. She was unconscious for hours before but right before she took her last breath, she smiled. They say hearing is the last sense to go when you are dying, so I hope she could hear this and it brought her comfort.
I just lost my father. My family was singing It Is Well With My Soul and he opened his eyes just before her passed. I held his face and looked him straight in the eyes. The Lord is holding then in His care until we meet them again.
I'm not tearing up, your tearing up🥲
If only we didn't have to wait for the other comforts to fail to ask for God's comfort...

It’s encouraging to me that there is not a single dislike on this video. Such a beautiful song that’s not known by many. It’s tucked away like a gem. Either people stumble upon this song through their digging or they’ve already found it and go to their chest to gaze upon it every once and a while.

My dear grandma just went home to be with her Jesus last night. This hymn is such a comfort..

Thank you Justin Smith for this amazing version of abide with me. It has brought a whole new perspective on this classic song. I find myself playing it over and over and savouring each verse as I never did before. It does what all good Christian music should do, it brings me closer to God.
