Excellent tutorial Tom, thank you very much for making this video and explaining every step, you're one of the few that actually talks compared most of the other clock tutorials I've found, and you've also gone to the trouble of creating a pdf file explaining the whole process that's amazing and your google account is still active and your website too, so thank you again and it's great that you're learning how to GIMP in your older years.
Almost eleven years later, and I got some great tips from this video! The 30 degree thing is brilliant. I expanded that to make minute lines so I did those at 6 degrees each. As for drawing the circles, I found that they seem to look less blocky if I create a circle selection, bucket fill it with black, shrink the selection by however many pixels I want the circle thickness to be, then delete the new smaller selection. Sir I tried to adjust the image into inches I went to Image -Image print size . I tried to scale also the image but nothing happens. unless if from the size I set the image into my desired size but the Gimp continuously stuck up. I just want to print the clock face in 8.3 inc size
