You stole that truck for $9000. 😂❤ I have a 97 f450 rollback with the 7.3 and love it. ❤❤❤ No issues with it, bought it used with 250,000 on the clock 13 years ago still going strong.

That 7.3 is just getting broke in at 350K that is in my opinion the best motor Ford made keep oil changed and I ran motorcraft filter and shell rotella oil.
This video brings back memories of when I bought my first rollback 14 years ago. Now I have three rollbacks, two wreckers, and I’m building a third wrecker. That’s a clean truck for the age and the mileage, it looks like it was well taken care of. I paid right around the same for second and third rollback. A Ford with a 7.3 Powerstroke, a ZF6, and a Century bed is a great combination. You ever decide to sell it, let me know! It’s awesome to see your family was part of all of this!

Happy Father’s Day! Nice starter truck. Sometimes I second guess things and my wife is like your wife, just do it! 7.3’s are nice, that’s what I have in my wrecker. You can always use the truck make your money back and more then sell it later or keep it as a back up. I like the century aluminum bed because they don’t rust or rot in and they’re less weight than the steel bed. Get yourself two new L arms for the wheel lift and also I would suggest getting the pin for the wheel lift. After loading a vehicle you can put the pin and rest the wheel lift on it and keep the pressure off the lifting cylinder. Century is made by Miller which is a great brand. That truck has a line lock which is great being that it has a manual transmission. Congratulations on the truck man. Glad you finally got a rollback. Slow and steady wins the race. You’ll get that new rollback eventually. Hopefully by that time we’re over this inflation bull shit 😂. You ever have questions just let me know bro. You can DM message me on Instagram 🤜🤛

Nice truck man, oil change every 5k miles and start with flashing the cooling system and filling with green antifreeze and the ford additive. New gear oil in the rear and I believe that zf6 takes atf. Start fresh on all fluids so you know what you have

you did good brother. looks like a rear main seal. I like that its manual. check the clutch and change that if you need to while u have the transmission down. I have one 01 f550 7.3 manual. I got single shot injectors and a tuner. truck is a powerhouse. worth 20k fixed .

The 7.3 for that year was a big problem with the oil pans rusting out then they would leak, so I would get some J-B weld and seal the leak, which held up pretty good until I was able to change the pan out.
From what i've been told from a diesel shop that had it previously, the oil pan is new but was not installed properly by a smaller diesel shop. should be able to reuse it. also, they think it might just be the rear main seal.

Watching that 33k GVWR truck with a bed cap of 12k load a F550 weighing 17500 - 19500 makes me shake my head. Wrecker call pull the drive shaft and on the stinger you'll be only towing 30% of the trucks weight. Also worth noting not having the bed level and putting your chains and straps on then is pretty dangerous especially with that load, the operator was under the truck chaining it up and had people walking behind it.. if that cable snapped right then and there it could of hurt all those people in the wrong space and the wrong time. Can't forget the PPE as well.
