I remember seeing this segment when it actually aired in 1997. I was 17 years old at the time. From the first episode and on, I would come home after school and watch The Rosie O’Donnell Show. Bernadette Peters has always been one of my favorite vocalists and actors. She was phenomenal in ‘Sunday In The Park With George’ and ‘Into the Woods’. She was the muse of the now departed composer Stephen Sondheim, and is a paragon of talent. The timbre of her voice is so unique and beautiful - I could listen to her for hours.
