Learning objectives and goals that are thoughtfully aligned with the TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills) ensure that we provide our students with a solid foundation for success. When these objectives are presented in a way that resonates with students and taps into their unique interests and abilities, it creates a more engaging and meaningful learning experience.
For me, knowing my students-their passions, strengths, and areas of growth-is key to preparing lessons that not only meet academic standards but also inspire curiosity and motivation. By aligning objectives with what matters to them, I can craft a plan that feels relevant and achievable, making learning a more personal and fulfilling journey.
This approach reinforces my belief that teaching is not just about delivering content but about truly connecting with students. When we take the time to align learning goals with both standards and student interests, we set the stage for deeper understanding and long-term success. It’s a reminder of the importance of building relationships with students to better guide them toward their goals. Thank you for highlighting this essential aspect of teaching!

In past test domain 1 is my weakness and it involves 34% of the exam. More videos on domain 1 will be helpful for the future! Thank you!

I liked this video, knowing our TEKS is really important when it comes to planning. Knowing your students and how they learn can help plan better and set your students up for success.

Being a teacher, understanding student diversity helps design assessments and understand that not one student is the same. Awesome breakdown.

Goals are essential and important when I comes to teaching. We must set and attain goals for ourselves and our students to show and have tremendous success!

As a teacher, the needs for the students should be met regardless of their strengths or weaknesses. A teacher should support every single student regardless of diversity, intelligences, cognitive level or "communities"they belong to e.g. sp.ed, 504, ELL'S

releated to Domain I, I'd like to share what I'm currently doing with my 4th-grade students to help them develop a passion for reading and engage in literary analysis of a novel. We're currently immersed in the book "El chico de la flecha," a fictional novel set in the ancient Roman Empire. Since many of my students are unfamiliar with Rome and life in the first century B.C. for a Roman child, I realized the need to provide background knowledge before diving into detailed summaries of the first chapters.
Although we're a bit behind schedule compared to what Amplify expected us to cover in this unit, I'm pleased with the progress we've made. We're instilling good reading habits through literary roundtable discussions, silent reading sessions, and the use of graphic organizers to enhance comprehension. Despite the delays, I've noticed that at least half of my 4th-grade students eagerly anticipate weekends to dive into new chapters and discover the unfolding story. Seeing them take the lead in our literary conversations is truly rewarding.

As a Teacher/Instructor, we must be willing to allow students to do different methods of assessments (Diversity). Not every two students learn or pick up new knowledge the same way.

This video is talking about teacher understanding the human development process and how to motivate students to learn and be successful in the classroom.
