Is the track any smoother. The last time I was there it was so rough. The shorter one was smooth but the longer one was real bad. I never got to ride them both as one track

I have heard that the south course is super bumpy. I can't complain about north at all--felt smooth to me. There is a "dip" right before turn 1 that's a little nerve-racking because you don't want the front tire loaded when you hit it.
Honestly I just wanted to bag some experience at this track for next year so I can think about it in the offseason and hopefully get competitive. I've never experienced those slow corners like T2 and was completely stumped. I know I need to approach them differently and take a way later exit. It was tough to re-route my brain in a race setting to do it though. A laid back track day and/or maybe just a track walk would be really beneficial in re-routing the wires in my brain to adjust to those corners.

@@matttriestodothings i remember turn one at race pace was a tricky place to pass but I really liked the smaller north track. The bigger bikes didn’t have any advantage

@@mmotorcycles9497 T1 is spooky and I got told by someone observing that I need to view it as more of a "turn" than as a "kink" like I had been earlier in the day. I need to get off the bike to setup T2 better by getting further out left and not making T2 so sharp.
There were guys on SV's and other 650's putting down laps in the 1:08s and probably lower. Track record there is juuuussstt over a minute on any bike. The north track definitely decreases a lot of the advantages the bigger bikes have from what I could see.

@@mmotorcycles9497 Oh man. I can see on Speedhive that Jason Farrell just threw down a 1:00.283 in Unlimited GP. I know he's trying to break (his own) outright track record and get crack the sub 1 minute mark. Close!

This time the track conditions were amazing and there was a lot of grip maybe some extra rubber on it 😅. It’s one of those tracks for lightweights where you stay most of the time on higher in the corners. Absolutely loved it the past weekend.
