Which is really handy as it lists everything in order, and the number and size of the bolts/nuts which helps you make sure you get them all tight.
Also at the end of the guide is the carb tuning guide to maximize your top speed.

yeh its a bitch. I struggled the same way. That's why before I started the build, I tried getting to the store before starting.
ive died at least 8 times going to the store, last time was right at the last stretch of road. xD
At the T junction take a left, and then as soon as you get the to the 4 way junction take a right. Instantly on the road and it's a little bit of a longer drive but it's all road but it 100% keeps you from dying from the super slippery dirt roads.

Hi guys, those who are on the latest update
1. Use spark plug spanner
2. When you do up the cam gear you will see a small mark on it, there is one exactly the same on the crank, line those up to sort out the timing
3. It's a 10mm bolt on the engine crane.

You can put a beer crate under the subframe and use that to mount the engine! No more raising the engine with the crane!

UPDATE! in 2k18 the distributor needs screwdriver
8:35 the alternator needs to be one tick off from all the way out, or the fan belt might snap.
1-2 ticks from max according to the wiki is the best tightness
All the way to the right (extended) is too tight, it will snap the belt. 3 ticks left and you get squeaky noise. So yea, basically move it all the way left at first, put the belt on, extend all the way to the right, then 2 clicks left. Then switch to screw-driver and tighten the screw to secure alternator to the rail. Make sure the alternator does not move when you are doing the screw, cause if you facing a certain angle, this CAN occur.
It's fixed, nothing occurs.

When you have to tighten the screw on the alternator, the alternator moves, but now it's fixed and won't move, so don't worry!
The camshaft(gear) must be aligned correctly to avoid damaging the engine when starting the car. This can be done by using the 10mm spanner/ratchet after fully tightening the camshaft gear, the gear will rotate after being bolted in.
There is a small notched arrow which should be pointing directly towards the crankshaft.

Note to everyone- the distributer now uses a screw instead of a size 6 spanner
just a tip. Put on the undercarriage first so you can roll the car. Then fill the engine bay with essentials like brake servo, brake lines ect. then put in the engine. Putting in the engine so early just makes adding the other stuff a pain in the ass
The van is a diesel so you don't need any throttle until the glow plugs warm up. That will do damage in real life

Hey guys, I need some help FAST. I fixed my car up and it works, I can drive it and its nice. But when I started driving I could not get over 80 km/h and after a while I heard a loud explosion and the car stopped working. Please help someone.
Prob to do with the air fuel ratio. There should be a little screw on the carb. Ajust it with the screwdriver and it should be fine

they need to add torque specs for all the engine bolts and if you tighten loosen the head bolts in a certain direction you warp the head

h-00-d "have you tried turning it off and on again" no but is the hand brake on?
sometimes the driveshafts come lose for some reason and you have to rebolt them
right click the hand brake.
h-00-d did you fill the master cylinders (break/clutch)
i had the same problem - u have to put every fluid into the car ( i forgot the clutch fluid, and it wouldnt move)

I was getting the exhaust pipe on for 10 mins. If someone can't do it open the msceditor, search for exhaustpipe and set installed and bolted to true. Fuck this chunk of metal

I always keep a copy of my saves folder and immediatley close the program when I did before it can save...
well now its outdated because you need to line up the timing chain and do the whole electrics , get a better battery and oil filter , aaaand you'l need to go get the wheels from the abandoned mansion . PS have fun with tuning the carb :D

Sadian In reality building a car can be a pain of the ass because of the alignment. Nothing snaps in real life, you have to place them by hand and keep it level all the time.

most of em, yeah miss some wiring, small parts, but all of the mains parts are there.
Please, I really need help. Does the exhaust pipe work with the new engine parts(the ones from the book) because I stood there for like an hour and couldn't fit it.
It does work, otherwise it wouldn't be purchasable. It's a bit fiddly for me too, even I could barely get the exhaust pipe in (the one you start with).

This is outdated and now requires wiring. Use the wire mess on the shelf and a guide to correctly wire the car. This is the only way to drive the car.

To screw in the distrupter you now need to use the screwdriver which is in the same toolbox as the spanners

This is a great tutorial but I have to put playback speed to 0.5 so I could understand what he’s doing since he’s speaking waay too fast and I don’t think a time lapse was a good idea for a tutorial

This video is a scam. Electrical wires were not routed. The car cannot therefore start! Total Fail!

uhh...is there a way to quickly reset the rocker tuning screws?
because i did way to many...and i think i've turned the wrong way so i have no idea where they are.
also: tip, you don't have to use the lift for the engine, just put a beer case under the car and jack it up so that the frame is just below the top of the case, put the engine in the right way, and the screws will appear.
My car won't start and it makes a strange ticking noise. I know the ticking is coming from the un-tuned rockers, but I cant Tune them with the engine off or in preheat. Can someone help?
