There are some large retirement communities in the United States where people own a golf cart for getting around locally, in addition to having a "regular" car for longer trips. I could see this Citroen as a very cool alternative to the golf cart, particularly for people who appreciate retro style.
Just give me an original Renault 4 but fitted with an electric motor that can do 60mph and go for 100 miles. It would be all the car most of us would ever need.
Citroen have stated that they have no plans to upgrade this to a 90km/h version, with double the range. Which is a real shame, because this is the nearest to the old 2CV I've seen.
Yes but this would come with more security regulations, so more weight and a higher price. The 2 CV from the sixties wouldn't be allowed on our modern roads today. 45 km/h and a 70-80 km range is enough to use in or around city and that's what this microcar is made for. If you want a real EV car close to this, BYD Seagull will come soon in Europe (best seller in China at the moment) or in cheap used cars, the VW E-UP.
