It's the done thing in this part of the world. Same is true in Middle east, Africa, South Asia. Restaurants will always have utensils, but some foods are just easier eaten by hand. You can't really scoop curry into bread using a knife and fork. Mind you I've always prefered to use a spoon for rice, rather than my hands. I also find the use of a fork for rice equally odd. It's just easier to shovel with a spoon. Don't even get me started on chopsticks. I envy anyone who can master them.

Karl , i have read many accounts of samosas being one of the most notorious foods for getting "Dehli belly" is that true? Have you ever encountered or heard about this?
If yes, what should travellers pay attention to when buying samosas especially from street vendors?
This was the first time i had seen Samosas presented like an actually meal on a plate .
Phew .. im glad they are selling rat poison and not cooked rat 🤣 (yes i watched the video from North East regions of India 🤣) i enjoyed this video .that naan looked liked what we have as a bread pizza where the ingredients are fried into the bread instead of toppings on the bread .interesting.
Have a fantastic day bro .😀

Street food Golden rule : only eat if its cooked fresh in front of you. Ask street vendors to make you a fresh one, it only takes 2 mins to fry a samosa.

Hey Stefan! Vegetarian food that's freshly cooked and served piping hot is generally ok. They fried the life out of those samosas. Heat generally kills bad things in food. I've not had any issues with samosas for that reason. Bigger risks are the water used in the chutneys, if the person who plated the food has clean hands, if the plates/utensils were cleaned with dirty water or not. But I didn't have any issues in Faisalabad and in the next video you'll see me drinking a ton of drinks from the street.
