Two hearts, 3 lungs, 4 livers, and cold lizard blood. Don't mess with the salamandroids!

Despite the short amount of time we had to get to know Sa'kan, he quickly became one of my favorite WH40k characters.
Kindness, humility, and compassion are extremely rare attributes in WH40K. Vulcan was probably the most genuine hero of the Primarchs. He loved his sons deeply, and they loved him just as much back. The Salamanders as a whole are awesome, probably the only Legion that would willingly lay down their lives for the sake of nothing but protecting innocent civilians.
Reading about it is all well and good, but Sa'kan gives us a visual demonstration in this scene. He immediately begins to calm the survivors and ease their fear. He speaks with them openly.
He even BENT ON HIS KNEE before them, something that'd be appalling to any other Legion. He even politely asked the children for their names. Few other space marines would bother with something as trivial as the names of average mortals. His first instinct upon a potentially deadly threat coming for them is to keep them behind him.
He didn’t claim to be some fancy hero and didn't speak down to the civilians. He gave orders, but his orders were intended to save their lives, not merely get out of his way. He takes them with him, concerns himself with their safety, and readily protects them from threats. Later, when Necrons close in, he throws himself into combat after ensuring to give them the route to potential safety. He uses himself as a distraction.
He's such a genuine soul, not just for these people, but also in how he treats the Sister of Battle later.

I think it's more accurate to say as close as you can get to being good guys in this setting.

Salamanders are at the top when it comes to protecting civilians and normal humans.
Other Space Marine chapters like the Ultramarines, White Scar, Blood Angels and Lamenters treat civilians fairly good but they don't go to the extreme like the Salamanders do.
But other chapters like the Iron Hands, Black Templars, the Minotaurs, Marines Malevolent and Flesh Terrors are assholes when comes to normal humans.
Especially Iron Hands the motto is the Flesh is weak and the strong survive and the weak die mentality, Salamanders and Iron Hands don't get along well with each other.

From a newbies point of view, i thought that most space marines were just about the same. But im very impressed with how diffrent the chapters actually are compared to each other. I got to do a deep dive in the lore!

@@rokkorgaming6149 also this may be surprising, despite how religious the Imperium of man is and everyone worships the Emperor of Mankind as a god, the thousands of Space marines chapters like the Ultramarines, Dark Angels, Salamanders, Imperial Fist etc don't worship the Emperor as a god but view him as the greatest human. Only a few Space Marine chapters worship the Emperor as a god the Black Templars being the most known chapter to do this.

@@rokkorgaming6149 yeah but the Space Marines are the Emperor's Angels of Death they are his creations, the space marines do just as much to appease the Ecclesiarchy/the State Church of the Imperium. Most humans and imperial guard will go throughout their whole lives without even seeing a Space Marine that's how rare they can be.
Plus the Adeptus Mechanicus/Tech Preist of Mars who make all the guns, tanks armor and Spaceships literally worships a different god called the Omnissiah the machine God and the Imperium has let that slide for the past 10 thousand years.
Some Tech Priests even view the Emperor as a living avatar of Omnissiah or the Omnissiah himself especially in his current state as a corpse stuck with tubes and wired to a massive machine called the golden throne.
