One small tip: In order for the pencils to cover the surface smoothly, it is really important that the pencils are very sharp. Also, try to use the cross hatching technique when coloring. This really helps for gradients as well. If you give this another try with a different color scheme, it will look even better! Keep trying, Amanda! Thank you for inspiring me to try new things! Girl skillshare some colored pencil classes! I used to hate them too but after a little practice with them, i ended up loving them. So versatile and it feels more natural to me than using inks. It might also help to use some pencils that are less waxy and more creamy. I used crazyart (dark times) when i was starting out and then i switched to prismacolor pencils when i felt more confident and was a world of a difference.
This was really fun! I’m doing a bullet journal because I need more organization because of the virus and I’ve been having a lot of fun ! I can’t wait for your April plan with me video !
You could do just looked up “bullet journal” or “bullet journal spreads” and it would come up with videos that had that caption or something like it 😂😂❤️

all colored pencils be crying in the club after this But I think you deserve a second chance with colored pencils Amanda! Any medium can be difficult when you're not used to it so maybe trying it again can lead to more improvement.
I’m new to the bullet journal, and colored pencils were what I had on hand to start with. I’m finding that I really like the combination of colored pencils and markers.
You could try blending the colour pencils and get a smooth texture using these steps: 1. Straight up colour 2. Next layer in perpendicular direction 3. Round scribbly-circular strokes

Mihan. used coloured pencils in her march set up if you want inspo! Her style in quite different to yours but if you’re looking to give them a second chance that might be a good place to start.

Colored pencils look great on craft paper. You can do that then cut it out and use the cut out.
