I grew up and lived in Westchester and Playa Del Rey til I was 30 yrs old. Pershing Drive used to be one of our street racing streets back in the late 1970s and '80s, as well as Jefferson Blvd. Where Home Depot is where Playa Vista (Silicon Beach) sits on what used to be Howard Hughes Helicopters plant. I have a great story about driving 140 MPH down Pershing Drive with the cops behind me trying to catch me. I'd love to tell that story because it is absolutely hilarious how I got a ticket and mandatory traffic court appearance and only got fined $20 and $40 for 8 hour traffic school for doing 140 MPH on a street that has a 45 MPH speed limit. Those were fun days. The whole story is a crack up.

@@samsonian yes most people think of the Eagle Wagon with the fake wood and wood on the dash. From 80 to 83 they made a sporty lift back that was called the SX/4 which came with aluminum dash. Optional spoilers. A wide body kit as Charger people now call it. Alloy wheels and in the commercials had it compete with everything from Mustangs to Trans am's at the time. Very rare as the thought of an off road sports car was thought of as crazy at the time.
Sort of complex because each is custom built, and you have to provide the car you wish to be Safari'd. Assuming you already have the car it looks like its around $120k for a full spec from Keen.
