The proposed armament of 6x 37mm T9/M4 autocannon necessitates the Moonbat closing into what was, for the .50 caliber M2(HB) medium range. That would've given 20mm and 23mm armed enemy bombers a useful standoff kill advantage. Bringing the Interceptor/Zerstorer that close to an enemy bomber formation would be considered "suicidal" if we were reporting on Japanese or German pilots (who used the same tactics for their low velocity 30mm and 40mm aircraft cannon).
@@WildBillCox13 I think you are giving an He-111, Ju-88 or Betty too much credit. if it had gotten to 500MPH it would have been formidable. The relatively low fire rate of a 37MM would not have been an asset.
Awesome video about another potentially spectacular aircraft, lost in history.
Another informative...fun..episode..with yet another "I never heard of that... plane".. actually looked ahead of it's time... Thanks again
Maybe you could also sell Chevy Corvair badged totes😂
We'll look at that.
A favorite "what if".
