This was a fascinating episode. I enjoyed listening to the stick jockeys speak about their F18 G and it’s capabilities. Fred, you did a good job interviewing both of them. The advancement in technology since my marine corp F-4 days is amazing.
Years after working on the ALQ-99 and working on EA-6Bs and my Dad working on ALQ-41 and EA-3Ds it never ceases to amaze me how unimportant the aviation community treats these aircraft, at this point I'm pretty sure it is intentional. I watch lots of DCS "Simulations" of battles and we always seem to lose lots of aircraft huh, super rare in real life, wonder why ;) ....but no one in the Navy will go into battle without them...... Cool to see the next generation (AT2 Allred "Tex" VAQ-139 1998-2001)
Fred great video of EA-18 GROWLER, and Thanks for the opportunity and my pleasure to escort these two great pilot's around the museum.
