I customized the precon for Inquisitor Greyfax clues, keeping quite a few of the original cards. Esper was a problem color combo for me until the 40k stuff rolled around.
Damn it I missed that McDonald's opening in Kyoto Japan... I'm glad Calgar made it... Because he is a Better Commander. I'm thinking about building this so this was a perfect deck tech. Thank you for the videos as always brother!!!!
Of course Marneus is the true heir of Calgary! Of course he would choose to leave for space, being from Calgary. I love the intro and the commentary and it's interesting to see your builds.
I actually created a decent combo with Marneus Calgar and Elesh Norn. You turn Elesh Norn into Argent Etching. You make (5) 2/2 pyrexian artifact tokens. But the way it's written is 5 times. Trigger Marneus Calgar for a Draw each time. Great Draw combo. Try and have Mondrak out beforehand. Super Value.
Ethereal Investigator trigger Marneus Calgar a total of 4 times. On ETB you investigate three times each time being a single instance of a clue token entering the battlefield, triggering Marneus thrice, on the first Marneus trigger the Investigator triggers its second ability, creating a 1/1 with flying, triggering Marneus a fourth time.
@@DrPyxel you are wrong there, buddy. Trigger on the stack resolves with three seperate actions of creating a clue token. The Same is true for black market connections different triggered abilities. Ist one trigger to choose one or more but each one of them are a different action. It's more tricky with Tivit, seller of secrets since all treasures enter all as one and all clues enter each as an individual action. There are dozens of decriptions of why it works like this online and way better players and judges explained it very well. Im sure you will learn something new today. Have a good one!
The wording is important, but I can see why you would think either way. "Investigate X times" does seem to indicate three game actions, three different instances. Makes this card better, and it was already very good.
I tried looking this up and there seems to be some evidence either way. It's a sticky one for sure. There is a lot of arguing on reddit, but I have been unable to find anything definitive.
When you lose to a $50 deck, you owe the pilot the difference between the decks. I will say this, everyone left me alone except you, that probably had some bearing on the outcome.

Same-- Warhammer 40k got me back into it, and introduced my son to it. Lots of love for this set
This was great !! Keep up the great content brother !!
Thanks man. Thanks for watching.

My list is easy to soup up, but does alot for a $50 deck
Loved buying this precon, upgrading it, and playing it. Never disappoints for fun gameplay.

That Canadian conspiracy seems to have some potential, speaking as a Canuck myself.
about what power level is this deck?
It's budget, but you can sit at tables 4-7 and have a great time.
@@bettercommander ok thanks, just started getting into edh besides precons so im thinking i might build this list
Nice - Magnus Carlsen, Chess Master is one of my favourites and strongest decks I have. Also: everyone knows Magnus is Norvegian, duh 🙄

Oh snap!
You only draw two cards. Investigating three times only creates one trigger because Marneus Calgar sees the three clues entering at once.

@@bettercommander the pilot or the draw 😜 I did mull to 5 lol but you could put that on the deck
Well, another 2 of the pod spent 4 or so turns just guns out on each other. That gave us a little breathing room.
