I remember when I was a teenager I worked at JC Pennys jewelry counter .There is a chain roller you can buy to straighten out those kinked chains .

Brighton does do jewelry in sterling silver. Overseas like in England they are 9 caret in gold, they use different carets than the USA does. Great jar.
To answer your question. No its not rude, using a lup to see what you are going to buy. I do know as we age, our eyes start going bad & we don't know it, until you struggle tring to see anything!!!! Nothing wrong with using a magnifyer. Great jar by the way. Our ears go also about the same time. Guess you have a washer running next to you. Makes it hard to hear you!

Regarding using a loupe at a garage sale… my eyesight has gotten worse as I’ve aged, so I wouldn’t have a problem with it, but I would try to be discreet when using it. (Don’t want to be asked to ‘loan’ it to anyone else!)
The clasps will always stick to the magnet. If the springs inside were precious metal they would not be able to hold up.
I love the wooden beaded necklace with the leaf!! So ready for fall.
I'm always afraid people will think I'm rude if I pull out my loupe, so I try not to. But hey, some of those pieces and names are tiny and I don't have EagleVision 😂
