Monster Hunter, But Monsters Can Go EXTINCT!

- It's all fun and games when you hunt monsters not having to worry about their populations. But what if Monsters could go extinct? I as well as 3 others will try to beat Rise before every monster goes extinct!

Challenge Rules
1. Each monster can only be hunted 10 times. If the number hits 0, then the monster is considered extinct and can no longer be hunted for the rest of the playthrough (This counts for all players)
2. Once you reach high rank and/or Master Rank, the monsters repopulate and their numbers go up by 5 but won't exceed 10 (This won't apply to Extinct monsters)
3. Cannot use extinct monsters for Wyvern Ride or pick up their dropped materials if they're on the field. If you happen to pick one up, discard it from your inventory
4. Capturing monsters counts towards their numbers decreasing (For Lore reasons)
5. We have a spreadsheet to keep track of the amount of monsters that die
6. Rampage monsters outside of the main monster at the end don't count towards the number because they get repelled
7. If a player(s) fail a multi-hunt quest and one or more monsters were hunted in that same quest, then the number of monsters hunted counts for the endangered numbers

Yet another awesome yet funny video made by ReaverJolt. The low rank version was funny and now im excited to see the chaos of high rank and im very curious as to what your "master plan" will be.
This is REALLY entertaining with multiple people. You should do this kind of thing more often!
I was thinking a bit about the end of the video with the magnamalo hunt that resulted in a capture and thought of some things for rules about capturing monsters in the quests
For starters, it is an important game mechanic and should not be ignored, it also only results in the capture and avoids the death of a monster, since the objective of the capture is to trap the monster , Study it closely and then release it back into the wild in full condition.
So I spent a little bit of time thinking about how to implement rules in a way that was fair and not just too broken or unfair.
I ended up with something like:
If you want to capture the monsters you need to follow the following conditions
Solo hunting : No carts and under 5 minutes
Two players : No carts and under 8 minutes
Three to four players : No carts and under 10 minutes
I just had the idea, it was fun to write and watch the video, have fun my fellow hunters!
this one woulda omitted small monsters from the count just because they don't really matter; they don't really drop anything all that useful past the early-game. Especially Kelbi, since they literally get up and run off. same with Felynes
My early game build was entirely from small monsters ;)

still think Kelbi shouldn't count. Especially since most monsters in a rampage don't either. Kelbi run off too

You don't have to use kunai on lizards, just hitting them with your weapon works
Oh I didn't know that. I was used to only knowing that the kunai and palamute riding did the trick. So thank you!

Do captures count as kills?
Captures do count because of lore reasons

This reminded me of something I thought about while watching a Zinogre ecology video a while ago. Imagine we get Zinogre in every single game in next generation and maybe even one after it and then a new game straight up says Zinogres went extinct from being overhunted
Tbh I love Zinogre, but I'd love this to happen, not just as a mockery on the community, but also as an additional insensitive to go back to previous games. Cap will never though
The only problem with this however is I don't think the guild would allow them to be hunted to extinction. They do try to keep balance after all.
@@PestilentAllosaurus yeah, but games already stated somewhere that it's the most hunted monster already and poachers exist. Also they can use some other monsters to make it more believable, like Amatsu taking advantage of Zinogre numbers dwindling
Also they could go with unnatural selection route instead of complete extinction, making a new "relative" for Zinogre

Charge blade isn't good against the fat rabbit? I kinda prefer him because most of his moves are predictable for guard points
For me it's because you can't reliably land SAEDs on it due to it's small size unless you have a long enough opening
But can it reproduce?
