I paid $2,500 for this 2005 Nissan Titan LE, powered by the Nissan 5.6L V8, then found out it was used by a disaster recovery company for years. Now that it's looking good I was ready to make it sound good and add some power. We installed the Banks Monster exhaust I had on my last Titan along with the Banks Ram Air intake, and it sounds much better!

If you really want it to sound right, call cajun bpipes and get a set of resonated b pipes and then get jba longtubes. The sound that motor makes is amazing when setup right
Exactly! Love my setup! I added 2 helmoltz resonators, which completely got rid of drone.

I sold my Titan in March. Dude.. Literally the same thing happened to me. He got to the end of my road pulled out on the main road and floored it and my heart sank. I kick myself in the ass every day for selling it. I love that truck it was aggressive and damn fast!

I put a Banks Monster exhaust on my Titan about five years ago. Imagine my surprise when I noticed six months later that my stainless exhaust had rusted. The clamps were completely rotten after three years, so I replaced them with stainless band clamps. The y pipe gaskets are garbage, and gave up after six months. You can't beat the OEM stacked steel gaskets. There is a good bit of drone with this exhaust and it gets more annoying as the weather gets colder.

Great truck, when they came out and I drove one, I thought they were the best trucks ever... They are the best running trucks period...
And on the seventh day, the Lord installed a sweet ass exhaust on his Titan.

My brother in law had a titan with banks intake and exhaust, I loved the sound at full song when he was towing trailers.
Now, just put some protection for the bed.

Dude! Thanks for the inspiration to do some wrenching. I just finished replacing the number 5 (center back, remove the manifold) ignition coil on my wife's solara. Five hours and one trip to Harbor Freight later, it's done. Code is cleared. Cat converter is saved. Thanks to you making mechanicking look fun again. Thanks JonRoss! You da man!

Titan owner here, I love my truck but have had to do a lot of work on it. Please do yourself a favor and install a vent for the rear differential. Check out the Titan forums for how to do it, or feel free to DM me. Also the Exhaust manifolds will eventually crack if they haven’t already.
Banks was always the best stuff......even back in the 80's Banks made great Camaro/Firebird exhausts. We don't hear much about Banks exhaust anymore.....super popular with us older dudes back in the day!

@@scottrose503 I love the tone, but it is a little loud in the cab on long trips or when I haul trailers. If you keep your foot out of it, it's pretty decent cruising. I will probably get another gibson dual or BRP. These are excellent systems for the cost. My local shops wanted a grand for duals...

Just bought a 2016 Titan. Hope Banks will be bringing some options to the current Titan generation soon.

I’d strongly recommend looking into a lot of the old Titan forums. That 3” y-pipe doesn’t help you any and that banks muffler doesn’t last long. Add headers or catless b-pipes? It sounds more like the sound of glass being shattered, which is great if you like that flappy nasty sound.
From a 15 year titan owner and extensive modifier... Borla is about your only option if you want clean sound, especially when you go past just a catback. I’ve spent way too much on this, Cajun knows my struggles lol

Used to have a banks, sounded great, kinda poppy till it got warm. Once i put lt headers and high flow catted bpipes it was way too loud, didn't sound good at all. Put a borla muffler and vibrant uq resonator sounds beautiful now

Finally laying some pipe. I will say, I didn’t think it would matter but that exhaust sounds really good.
When you change the exhaust on a titan especially the manifolds to headers you will lean it out and get a cel it needs to be tuned the engine likes a little back pressure

The 2015 and older are my fave! Specially with the huge opening rear window!
Watch for exhaust manifold leaks. That won't just be a gasket, you will need new exhaust manifolds as they are known for this, and it's expensive as the first cat is part of the manifold.
Otherwise I am not sure of any other issues. They are pigs on gas too (like the Magnum rams). But they come straight from the factory sounding mean. They are also smaller than modern full sized trucks. If you can find it get the pro4x...it's worth the extra bucks!
Yeah bro love it I’m gonna get me one for my Nissan I have a titan and I love it it’s only got 160,000 on it so five and everything works I’m just now having to change the starter because it’s just clicking every once in a while it’ll click or start up and I’ve changed all the relays people tell me when it clicks and it sounds like it’s at the top of the motor but toward the firewall so I looked it up and the starter is in that area so if you have any advice shoot me a message appreciate it see you next time

I've never heard of Banks (UK viewer) but it's certainly given me wood.
Personally I would have put those badges on the fender between the wheel and door or further forward on the door but us aussies have a different style

I did put a pair of Flowmaster on a 2008 titan. It sounded amazing. I will definitely give Banks a try on my 2011. I still have stock exhaust with 88,000 miles

titan sounds like it has the orignal factory program as mine had since 2007 will not peel out like that without the tuner they installed programming that year 2007 were it does not open to full throttle until you get 40 mph

A Banks exhaust system would probably be at the bottom of my list for exhaust systems to put on my Titan, way too many others that sound way better. But that is purely subjective.
If I got to.work on the Nissan Titans with Watch JR Goes and Joshs I would drink the cold Bartle Skeets and roll up the fat Woolford and get all schmoked up.

Sounds pretty good
The Nissan Titan has really good sound however, when you have a great exhaust put on, you have to much sound resonating in the cab and you can forget taking on a Bluetooth
While waiting for the Rolls parts. You could do some cosmetic work on the RR (e.g. getting rid of the vinyl roof)
