Have you ever heard of the flash game titled "Can your Pet?" ? I remember playing this game in middle school and being completely caught off guard. If you haven't heard of it I'd recommend checking it out.
When I was a toddler I had a tinkerbell night light that would shift between the colours of the rainbow. I'd get terrified and hide under the covers when it turned red because it turned the whole room red and make tinkerbell look like a demon. Silly, but really spooky at that age.
Ditto but it was a generic night light. God I hated when it turned red. For me I think it was the fact that red was the darkest out of all the other colors so it barely lite up anything
whats always scared me as a kid was the scene in the neverending story where this kid and his horse max get stuck in quicksand. maybe its because i, like many people, hate seeing animals get hurt, but goddamn...
How about those animation error reals on dvds? "Technical goofs" on the shrek 2 dvd, "Incredi-blunders" on the incredibles dvd, "Mad mishaps" on the Madagascar dvd. That shit traumatised me as a kid!
I remember the Shrek ones! Some of them were kinda funny, but then there'd be the ones where the bodies or hair got all weird and that really creeped me out as a kid
oh yes, i was terrified of the madagascar errors....but the movie itself also terrified me with them turning into steaks. i had nightmares. but now its my favorite movie all time
I was so conditioned by years of playing TF2 and HL2 into thinking it was just a still picture, so when I launched Dota 2 for the first time and the guy turned his head to me... I fucking jumped
I played valve games all the time as a kid, and on my console it was always a still image. I bought portal 2 on steam and it scared the shit out of me when he moved ;-;
I've got a story that will make you laugh. When I was a young kid the transformation scene in Wallace and Gromit curse of the were rabbit scared me so much that I couldn't watch the movie again til I was 12, my mom had to hide the movie in a drawer and I had daily nightmares about it for over a year. Yeah I was a pretty stupid kid.
I was scared of that movie too!! well, sorta. I loved watching it as a kid and playing the games on the dvd, but the cover of the dvd always freaked me out to the point where I hid it on purpose
When i was around 5 years old i used to watch old cartoons that my mom recorded onto a DVD (tom and jerry, looney tunes, etc) every night before bed and good lord that one gag in tom and jerry where tom looked at the screen and went "don't you believe it" scared me shitless and i even had nightmares about it
does anyone ever remember playing “can your pet”? where it was a seemingly innocent game where you would feed and dress up a little chicken only for it to be butchered and put into a can? i remember being sad for days after being tricked into playing it when i was 11 lol
I guess one of the only things that scared me as a kid were the giant robots Ivan Ooze controlled in the first Power Rangers movie. The CGI just looked so... bad but those designs stuck out to me as a kid.
I haven't seen all of the Traumathron episodes,so this one might be in one of the episodes. When my older brother used to still live with my parents, and i was about like 6, I used to play random flash games all the time on his laptop. I really liked cooking games, and I found a cooking mama game online. Irl it was the PETA recreation of the game, the one with the guts and the blood and everything. Seeing that as a kid really fucking scarred me. To this day, I still have nightmares about it, every one creepier than the last one.
Make fun of me all you want but when I was a kid “the foot” from diary of a wimpy kid scared me so hard I had to attend therapy for about a year and had countless nightmares. The foot is basically like some fake horror movie that they were watching and it genuinely terrified me. The part that really got me was this part where this severed foot is hopping through the hall while this fucking horrific scream is playing. Watching it now I find it really funny but when I was a kid it truly traumatized me.
I got scared just reading about the hand when I was little. I was scared it would crawl into my room and get me or something. Also at the time, with how my room was set up, I had to sleep with my head towards the door which didn’t make this fear any better lol
@@thepizzaguy8477 the very beginning of the game, early hardmode, the game is constantly fucking you over and giving you a hard time, until you prevail in the end
Minecraft scares me more than Terraria. Although, Terraria has creepier monster designs (giant flying eyeball with teeth, a gross giant brain with a heart inside of it, zombies oozing with blood, giant mimics with huge teeth, literal souls of the damned, an entire hivemind of creatures that resemble blobs of flesh, etc.). It is probably because in Minecraft, monsters likes to sneak up behind me and scare the tar out of me. Especially Creepers. Also, Minecraft, especially pre-Villager Minecraft, had a lonelier atmosphere than Terraria with its talking NPCs. And Terraria players are generally stronger than Minecraft players, so the extra vulnerability you have in Minecraft makes the world feel more dangerous and scary.
Oh crap, that was terrifying! And I’m not scared by much stuff. I think Goose actually did talk about it in another video, and I covered my monitor when it came up
What scared me was Miley Cyrus in South Park. Her blowing her head off and still surviving with half of it missing scared me shitless as a kid. Edit: Turns out it was Brittany Spears, thank you Sergeant Gutsy
I remember when one of my classmates convinced my teacher to play the maze game, she put it in on the projector. Let’s just say that all of the kids including my went home in tears
If I remember correctly there was a jumpscare car commercial where it’s normal for a little while but then a zombie jumps out and it really got to me bc i had a huge zombie fear
the zombie car jumpscare meme? i was about to laugh at you but i was scared of top 10 lists on yt (just some regular old watch mojo stuff, not even horror top 10 ones lmao)
something that really scared me as a small kid was the Frederator clip thing that would play at the end of cartoons. One cartoon I vaguely remember that had it play was Adventure Time. It was the first and only time I saw that unholy demonic clip. Like I said, it played after the outro of each episode and it was kinda like a jumpscare. One moment I’m listening to the peaceful and charming music playing during the credits, the next second I’m getting jumpscared by some Transformers looking mfer with a drill carving the name “ Frederator “ into a mountain or some other landform. Scared me shitless. Excuse my bad description, I’m not good at explaining things
holy shit dude what a deep cut. I fucking repressed the Nickelodeon game for years all came back when I saw the thumbnail. Im so pumped you remembered this. I remember playing this in first grade, seeing the screamer, and then yelling and running to my room. My parents banned me from the computer for a few days lol.
As a kid, i used to put the tv on and do crafts till late in the night. Once i was up way too late and adult swim came on, i had never seen anything from it before and i was curious so i decide to watch. It was that show with the french fry and drink thats alive or something? idk what happened but it scared teh shit out of me and i had nightmares about it.
OH MY GOD. That Nickelodeon story just unearthed a repressed memory. I was on the DisneyXD site. There was this snowball fight game. I don’t really remember the plot, but I think I can get the basics. The entire neighborhood was turning into snowmen or something. You had to hit all the kids with snowballs and you couldn’t get hit too much. If you got hit, all the kids would circle around you along with a snowman monster. The screen would fade to black as a sound would play (I want to say a very low drone but idk). I got panic nightmares from it. I also think the controls didn’t work so you died a lot. It was always scary when you tried to get back up but couldn’t.
I can't believe you showed a scary maze compilation and omitted the one with the guy punching a hole through his monitor. Anyways. Love the videos, thanks so much for the daily uploads. Edit: I just looked it up and realized it's a SNL skit. I feel betrayed.
The mirror scene in Nancy drew: shadow at the waters edge scared the shit out of me as a kid. The whole game has spooky elements and older point and click games have a really eerie atmosphere. Kept me up every night for several months
The scariest part of the “Scary Maze Game” was the fact that I couldn’t beat it 😪 Now I can but as a child I got frustrated to the point where I gave up.
This may have been suggested but, i remember the one creepypasta that always got me when i was younger. The "buried alive" creepypasta in Pokémon, i couldn't sleep for weeks
we’re nearing the end of traumathon 2 and to be completely honest i’ll be super bummed when it’s over,, having a boose video every single night has been an absolute dream. cheers to you, man!
When I was a bit younger my friends thought it would be a good idea to prank me (continuously) with pop up screamer videos. I have anxiety and severe panic disorder and pop up screamers were the worst thing imaginable to me because I couldn’t trust anything my friends showed me. One night at a hang out I fell asleep on the couch and had a very vivid night terror about a pop up screamer. My friends immediately tried to wake me up and said I started breathing extremely heavy, almost like I was gasping for air or trying to scream and started crying in my sleep. When I finally woke up and told them what happened they promised to never do any kind of pop up screamer prank to me again.
Some early 2000s/2010 era adult swim bumpers/shorts would make me extremely uneasy when i was younger. I'm sure you can find several good examples online, but the only one I can remember off the top of my head is "All Time and Music Eastern." I also remember being scared of production logos, the biggest example for me being Williams Street Productions. Now that I think about it, that whole program had a lot of things that terrified a kid my age at the time.
I remember what scared me when I was 7. It was from an episode of Courage the cowardly dog called "Perfect". all I remember was there's a monster inside Courage saying "You're not perfect" which of course it scares Courage and I think it happens when Courage is trying to sleep. Edit: I looked up the episode apparently it was the last Courage The Cowardly Dog's last episode
it was supposed to be an anthropomorphic version of the husband's trumpet I believe, because he's the one who gave courage insecurities about being a perfectionist
Something that scared me as a kid and actually gave me nightmares was Pokémon black and white, season 14, episode 14, A Night in the Nacrene City Museum Yamask scared the shit outta me here I don’t even have much memory of the episode-
If there was a thing that traumatized me,it is gota be episode2 from qumra season2 which is called under the cement, this episode litterly ruined Ramadan to me. For anyone who wants to see the episode, try typing this in Arabic مسلسل قمرة الفصل الثاني الحلقة الثانية.
Oh yeah, that Wormy jump scare made me afraid of bugs in general/butterflies for years. But looking back, it was probably the noise that did the scaring
I remember one thing that scared me (and still does!) deeply when I was a kid was the Scream Extractor from Monsters Inc. Not only is it t e r r i f y i n g (dark voids trigger a flight or fight response in me I stg), but it was built to SUCK THE SCREAMS OF CHILDREN. That thing still gives me the chills.
Been absolutely loving Traumathon man and I appreciate all the hard work you've been putting in. Make sure you give you self a good decent break at the end
The one freaking thing that terrified me when I was six years old was the episode of sonic x "sonic's scream test". There is legit possesion in that episode and the ghosts were freaky as hell. That episode is where my fear of dark hallways spawned
idk if youve already covered this in another vid, but "youre not perfect" from courage the cowardly dog? that fuckin cgi thing haunted me for at least 2 years, still get the shivers whenever i look at it
I love this comment section, each person has a different story to tell. Some I can relate to, some I cannot. For example, I thought I was the only person who was afraid of black screens, i’m not! I didn’t even know it was a fear other people could have! Theres a whole phobia, Technophobia! It makes me feel better knowing that I can relate to others who are scared. I hope that if you’re reading this comment, you scroll down and find something you can relate to, too. I hope you do more of these Viewer Suggestions/Internet Scares over the course of this year’s Traumathon. They’re now my favorite. Oh! There’s something that popped into my head while I was scrolling through the comments. Something that traumatized me when I was little is my mom showed me some sort of Snapchat / Facebook filter of a bunny and it gave you like bunny ears and stuff or something (this was a loooong long time ago) and then she told me to open my mouth. It was one of those interactive filters. Well, making a choice I would soon regret, I opened my mouth and there was this hideous mouth with jagged, sharp and scary teeth and I screamed. It even made your eyes a dark red, for extra scary effect. I was young, I wasn’t used to that kind of thing. That wouldn’t scare me or anyone nowadays, but I was horrified. Well, thats my little Traumathon tale. All of this, and I haven’t even finished the intro of the video, man. I’m gonna be honest i’m stalling I heard this video has the car jumpscare and the Wormy jumpscare and the maze jumpscare and aaaaaagh. Oh, and another! One time I was at my nana’s for a Christmas party and they were all in the basement playing games so I said “Well, I like games,” and I went down into the basement. They were playing a horror VR game that one of my mom’s or my mom’s sisters cousins got because thats when VR first became a new thing. Well, as you can expect, I witness a jumpscare and I very fittingly jumped. How unlucky. I fell down the stairs and we went home. Man, all my traumatic memories are rushing back. Thats just how it goes I guess. Anyways, i’m going to actually watch the video now. For real. Ok. Bye. Yeah I swear i’m watching the video but this just popped into my head. Have any of you seen Frybo from Steven Universe. GOD.
Oh my god, this had me remember a kids game that traumatized me as a little kid! I completely forgot about it! :"D It took me a long while to remember, but it was some game about the show Cyberchase, which I really liked, but unfortunately remember nothing about. The game was just a simple flash game about a dragon character eating donuts, and you just clicked a button to make it eat more or something? Idk, kid-me thought it was just a cute "game" where you gave a dragon a bunch of donuts I guess. I was obsessed with dragons as a child, so I thought it was pretty neat at first. But then, without warning, the game just ended suddenly, and gave you a screen that said something like, "Oops! Looks like the dragon ate too much!" And it was just a fucking image of the dragon as a corpse on the ground, and some other character picking up its for some reason decapitated head??? There was no blood or jumpscares or anything; it was just purely silent and sudden. I'm sure if I saw it now, it wouldn't be scary at all, but wtF that messed me up as a child >:"D I'm going to try and see if the game still exists, but it might not now since it was probably mid 2000s. -- *EDIT:* I actually found the game!! It was surprisingly quick to show up :O And just as I guessed, it's.. not scary at all LOL It's some dumb game that's supposed to teach you x2 multiplication tables. I played through it, and yep!! The dragon's decapitated at the end just like I remembered! I played through it a couple of times to see if I missed anything, and it turns out that the dragon might actually be a costume?? I almost didn't notice it, but I think part of it is supposed to look like a zipper. Kid-me clearly didn't notice that LOL Either way, I'm glad I got to relive this memory I almost forgot about, even if I got terrified over nothing lmao
the scary maze game brings me back, my older cousins had me play it as a kid during a family reunion. i recall the adults talking to someone through skype and/or each other, until the scary maze noise in full volume glory disrupts the whole-ass neighborhood
lmao the black licorice game definitely scared me as a kid, and so did the Scary Scavenger Hunt games on the Garfield website - iirc there's a couple jumpscares in the first one, and I put off playing the second one until I was an adult because I'd been told one of the rooms had a corpse sitting in a chair and I was too afraid to see it (obviously it's not as bad as an 11-year-old might have thought it was--) for a more unique one, when I was in about 6th grade, I stayed up late enough to catch an episode of Metalocalypse about the band meeting a little girl with cancer. at the very end of the episode one of the guys turns the girl around to find her dead, and it zooms in on her face as maggots crawl around her eyes and mouth while he screamed and panicked. it messed me up for years and I still haven't seen anything else from the show since--
OHH MAN THAT EPISODE WAS SURE SOMETHING the guy that sees her dead is Toki, and she was there to meet him because he’s seen as the “cutesy one” and he was SICK OF IT in this ep so he acts all dark and evil up until the end where. that scene occurs
one movie that I attribute to my arachnophobia is the movie "eight-legged freaks" despite the fact it's supposed to be a horror-comedy the CGI spiders scared me to death as a child
shit that scared to death when i was a kid: -Small Soldiers *[the fucking Gwendy Dolls man]* -a weird animated short film called "Simon Sneed" about a kid who collects bugs and ends up turning into one (the CGI was awful and the slow moves, dear god....); this was aired in a show called "X Chromosome" which featured other animated segments, but i can't seem to any information about it aside for some of the shorts on TH-cam (Monie being one of them) -Thomas the tank engine (it was a nice show, but....the movements again, dammit) *-OBEY THE WALRUS* -Jeff The Killer (i was already 18 and in college by the time creepypastas became popular in my country (and it doesn't scare me anymore), but this fucked me up so badly that i could not sleep peacefully for a good solid month)
I THOUGHT I DREAMED THAT NIGHTMARISH GAME!!! It's kind of a relief that someone else remembers that! I can't believe Nickelodeon actually published that shit
The ending cutscene to Super Mario Odyssey is very scary. The first time I saw it, it confused me because it appeared as if Peach attempted to abandon Mario on the moon, but she looks happy when he jumps back onto the ship. Upon closer inspection, you can tell that Peach clearly intended to leave Mario and Bowser stranded on the moon, and Bowser and Mario both assumed she wouldn't abandon them (they were just being upset together, not moving towards the ship). You can tell she was going to desert them since later, she sighs, and somewhat reluctantly tells Mario to get on. The landscape of the Moon Kingdom is very barren and shows you the vast emptiness of space, which adds to how scary this cutscene's ramifications are.
To be honest in the mario universe being stranded in another planet is not that bad, there warp pipes back to earth or one of those mario galaxy star launchers that can let you travel from planet to planet
I remember on Christmas Eve when I was around 8 or 9 we were having a party that I wasn't invested in so I was just watching TV in my living room. I don't remember the channel but there was an add that came on of a nice fireplace with a crackling fire and then all of the sudden a demon santa pops out of the chimney. Needless to say I had nightmares about santa on Christmas Eve.
A thing that left me paralyzed as a kid were hypnotic illusion videos. Well thats what i thought they were you had to focus on the centre of a moving hypnotic circle to get a visual hallucination. Aaand of course at the end, while being concentrated, the classic 'The Maze'like jumpscare ... why are people so evil
Imma throw this in: there was an episode of Kids Next Door where some scientist made ‘the smartest rainbow monkey’ or something like that. Scared me so much when I was like 9
The close up of the butterfly from spongebob is actually that of a giant parasitic horsefly. I blame that episode for the reason I hate the sound of bugs.
If anyone ever played SNK vs Capcom: svc chaos as a child, then you'll know what I'm talking about. Whenever I would play the game, I would always feel the unees of the stages. They have that end of the world feel to 'em with barely any humans appearing and a lot of deserts and broken machines. You can even go to HELL, yes, you heard that correct, if play the arcade mode a specific way, you can fight Firebrand in HELL, that shit scared me as a child and even gave me nightmares. Though tbh, I don't know how anyone else felt playing this game.
Lol, my dad told me about how he was terrified of the News of the World album cover by Queen and cried the first time he saw it. He got a job when he was older and his co-worker showed him the one clip from Family Guy where Stewie is afraid of the same exact album, we still joke about it today.
Don’t remind me that supernatural got bad lol. What scares me is that the supernatural dude is making the Resident Evil Netflix show, can’t wait for that disaster.
I remember taking either a colorblind or rorschach test when I was younger. Halfway through the test I got jumpscared. I guess good luck looking up which one it is. :c
Rorschach test I'm guessing, I got jumpscared taking one around 5 years ago and I bet ya it was the exact same one. Either that or it's a popular genre for screamers lol. Definitely not fun.
One thing that scared me was when I was a kid I think in super smash bros brawl they had demos of nes games and I think when you die in Legend of Zelda 2 Gannon will do a creepy laugh. And I don't know why but I gave me nightmares as a kid
Here a little bit later than the other 48 at the time of this comment, but still early. I'll take this time to say this: Great content. Keep up the good work.
When I was little my sister didn't like it when I snooped on her laptop so she would show me the girl from the exorcist, I'm still terrified of her to this day and I had to scroll down when you were talking about the scary maze game lmao
Bruh, I found e.t kinda scary too. There is a old Norwegian tv-show called «Pompel og Pilt» that I found really scary as a kid. Its about two guys who repair stuff (Pompel and Pilt), there is also a third character. The third character goes into full possessed mode when Pomple and Pilt mentions the word «reparere» (to repair). He starts to chase down Pomple and Pilt while being possessed mode. I have read online that many Norwegians including me hated the show, because of how creepy it was. It is on youtube, just search up «pompel og pilt».
Not sure if this is the right kind of suggestion, but old creepy vocaloid songs from the early 2010s (Okaasan, Bacterial contamination) scared the shit out of me in my early teens.
I used to be afraid of a movie called “willies” as a kid. It had that guy from the lord of the rings in it and I remember being scared by the whole monster story. The scene in the bathroom really freaked me out as a kid. Now I just think the movies pretty funny
My father showed me a video called Scary Car Commercial when I was about eight. I refused to be around blank screens for years, because for some reason I was afraid the screamer would start playing.
Its called Technophobia, I actually didn’t know it was a thing until I read a different comment on the same subject. I can relate to you, as you can relate to me. At my dad’s house theres a TV right in front of my bed thats either on playing sleep noises or off completely. On days I have the TV off my lights are always very slightly on, god forbid the lights turn off all the way. That would be the end of me.
off topic but i remember this one episode of clarence (totally spelled that wrong) that scared the hell out of me when i was younger, and i think goose boose should make a traumathon abt it maybe it was the episode "lil buddy" where basically clarence finds this doll that he saw on tv, and so he gets the doll and gets super attached to it . i dont really remember it cause it was around 2015 maybe?? im not sure, but something happens where he has to bury the doll and he gets depressed . what traumatized me is the fact that clarence never responded to anyone or anything, he sat in his room and it scared me a lot. he then had enough and ran back to the spot where he buried the doll in the pouring rain and he violently dug it up, and the doll was destroyed, its clothes all ripped n stuff and the hair was kinda falling out . i forget what happens next because i watched it so long ago, but it was terrifying to me even though i kept watching it over and ove
The thing that scared me when I was a Kid, was a TV Spot of Billy & Mandy taken of One Episode where Billy rides his tricycle, crush with a Tree and scratch his face with The street, then he asked to Kids For a lemonade with his face disfigured, that shit Makes me Feel fear of The entire Cartoon Network and always skipped that channel when I've was zapping
I remember as a kid I was scarred of the Forest Temple from The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time. I couldn’t figure out how to beat the dungeon and after a couple of hours of wandering, the music started to sound like it had laughing in it as if there were spirits laughing at me being lost in the dungeon. It also doesn’t help that this dungeon was my introduction to the wall masters who would absolutely terrify me every time I got grabbed.
So I've never played the game, but I just spent a few hours doing research and couldn't come across the "Shrouded Men." Is this the "Gray Man" maybe? If that interests you, you should look into "Hatman," Eiriel, and trip reports from Diphenhydramine (Benadryl) usage. Some mad spooky shit that I, unfortunately, have a lot of personal experience with, lol.
The spookiest thing i've seen back in my childhood was that rock paper scissors russian roulette flash game with clones. There were three kids, and they were fighting three clone kids, and if you win, the clones get disposed. It was pretty gory, but not by much. However, what spooked me was the part when there's only one bullet left in the chamber. The Grim Reaper suddenly appeared beside the poor kid that was going to to have the shoot himself with the gun. Looking back on it, it wasn't that scary, but since I was born in a superstitious household it had no doubted scared me enough that I ran towards my dad and told him about it. Also, I got lost one night when I was a kid. Somehow I was able to find my way home, and it really didn't traumatize me that much, but the feeling of being lost and alone still scare me to this day.
Your episodes on Traumathon has informed me about a lot of cool movies and games I never really knew about before and I appreciate your explanations on it and also enjoy hearing your experiences with it. As a young person that enjoys discovering more classics, I find Traumathon very interesting.
The only thing I can remember being consistently scared of as a kid were 2 scenes from the Ghostbusters movies. The skeleton cabbie from the first, and the scene in the second where all the ghost pop out in the abandoned subway line. I always had to look away or close my eyes. Every time.

Wasn't that game made by PETA?
@Squiddy 0912 It wasn't, I checked.
Though it would be something they would do
ABSOLUTELY. ACTUALLY. VERY FITTINGLY. TRAUMATIZING. THAT THING MADE ME SO SHOCKED AND UPSET FOR REAL. if it doesnt get on traumathon idk what will

i dont really care about black licorice
When I was a toddler I had a tinkerbell night light that would shift between the colours of the rainbow. I'd get terrified and hide under the covers when it turned red because it turned the whole room red and make tinkerbell look like a demon. Silly, but really spooky at that age.
I had the same issue except mine was just a generic cone shape
same but it was ariel
Ditto but it was a generic night light. God I hated when it turned red. For me I think it was the fact that red was the darkest out of all the other colors so it barely lite up anything
Mine was a color-changing ball!
Oh, God yes, I can relate to this. ;-;
Best screamers:

Car driving down mountainside commercial
Subliminal messages in Disney films videos
Scary rocking chair

I'd like to throw Japanese Tire Commercial into the ring, too.

Quicksand??? That was a whole damn swamp!!!
Rewatched that movie a few years ago and fucking hell that actually made me cry
I've read the original book not long ago.
It's in there, too.
Also, it's a swamp, not quicksand.
@@MrEnte3000 thaaats right, it was a swamp!

@@JurassicPancake It starts off so wholesome.
There’s a sequel where it doesn’t die.

The Nosferatu scene in the Hashslinging Slasher episode really scared me as a kid.
Same holy crap, i would literally hide behind something because how terrifying that was to me as a kid
@@bleachmeme8585 bro same but now I love it and the og movie
I absolutely loved the episode but that thing was going OFF as soon as the lights flickered.
Wormy scared me so bad
Oh shit, I barely remember that.
Was anyone else scared of that FBI warning screen at the start of DVD's? I'd always leave the room when that came on because I thought it was scary.
I was afraid of THX and the FHE logo from the 90s
How about those animation error reals on dvds? "Technical goofs" on the shrek 2 dvd, "Incredi-blunders" on the incredibles dvd, "Mad mishaps" on the Madagascar dvd. That shit traumatised me as a kid!
omg same! it still kind of gives me a weird feeling even though the animation process is super fascinating.
I've always loved animation and behind the scenes stuff so it didn't scare me, but the reminder made me super nostalgic
I remember the Shrek ones! Some of them were kinda funny, but then there'd be the ones where the bodies or hair got all weird and that really creeped me out as a kid
oh yes, i was terrified of the madagascar errors....but the movie itself also terrified me with them turning into steaks. i had nightmares. but now its my favorite movie all time
MAD MISHAPS OMG
The Valve logo with the guy with the valve on the back of his head scared me when I would load up TF2 as a kid
I was so conditioned by years of playing TF2 and HL2 into thinking it was just a still picture, so when I launched Dota 2 for the first time and the guy turned his head to me... I fucking jumped
It scared the shit out of me any time I loaded up Portal.
You talking mad shit for someone in turning around distance
OH GOD OH F-
I played valve games all the time as a kid, and on my console it was always a still image. I bought portal 2 on steam and it scared the shit out of me when he moved ;-;
I was scared of that movie too! We had the book version and just seeing the book scared the ever loving shit outta me.
that thing traumatized me when i was like 10 i had a pet rabbit and i always thought she was secretly a grown man
Same
God me too mate
I was scared of that movie too!! well, sorta. I loved watching it as a kid and playing the games on the dvd, but the cover of the dvd always freaked me out to the point where I hid it on purpose
When i was around 5 years old i used to watch old cartoons that my mom recorded onto a DVD (tom and jerry, looney tunes, etc) every night before bed and good lord that one gag in tom and jerry where tom looked at the screen and went "don't you believe it" scared me shitless and i even had nightmares about it
same!!
does anyone ever remember playing “can your pet”? where it was a seemingly innocent game where you would feed and dress up a little chicken only for it to be butchered and put into a can? i remember being sad for days after being tricked into playing it when i was 11 lol
I remember that! Me and my cousin found it and I was like nine. Ugh, the sounds too!
You just unlocked a memory I forgot I had
oh you mean the one where you kill a turkey? Yeah I think I managed to get a good ending on that, scary tho
@@thegoldenblob69 that’s the one! At the end, you unlock a “Mama loves animals” round, and you make a vegan dish
This kind of shit is the reason why no one likes Peta and no one takes animal activism seriously
Same, I just didn't watch the movie.
But I was fine after like a month.
The foot? Huh, in the book it was a hand.....I kinda think the hand would be scarier.
I got scared just reading about the hand when I was little. I was scared it would crawl into my room and get me or something. Also at the time, with how my room was set up, I had to sleep with my head towards the door which didn’t make this fear any better lol
SAAAMMEE DUDE THAT SHIT GAVE ME PTSD I COULDNT WATCH DIARY OF A WIMPY KID ANYMORE JHEBJHWEFBJHQERF

Minecraft is scary when you're first thrown in, all alone as night rolls around.
Going into the caves for the first time, ect.
Even more so with terraria

When I was a little kid for some reason I was scared of the game over screen of Action Bass for the PlayStation.
Do you know about the game boy camera? That thing is well, unsettling to say the least.

I found MiMi's transformation kinda funny when I was 6
I can't take it seriously when she made slot machine sounds during her transformation.
I am honestly so baked but that "Black Liquorice" was the funniest thing I've seen
I wasn't scared of the butterfly from spongebob, I was terrified of "I Was A Teenaged Gary"
What scared me was Miley Cyrus in South Park. Her blowing her head off and still surviving with half of it missing scared me shitless as a kid.
Edit: Turns out it was Brittany Spears, thank you Sergeant Gutsy
Why did they think that was funny? "OH PEOPLE WILL LOVE THIS JOKE HAHA! PEOPLE LOVE CELEBRITES DYING RIGHT HAHAHA!"

That was heccin funny
Why were you watching south park in the first place
I remember when one of my classmates convinced my teacher to play the maze game, she put it in on the projector. Let’s just say that all of the kids including my went home in tears
"you just gave that give black licorice whats gonna happen?
"RAID: SHADOW LEGENDS!"
Scared me shitless.

god ikr? i was like 5/6 when i played it, but i will never forget the phrase "i dont like black licorice"

I had the haunted carousel game. I liked watching the footage of the ghost start up the horses.
The scariest part of the “Scary Maze Game” was the fact that I couldn’t beat it 😪 Now I can but as a child I got frustrated to the point where I gave up.
if you click and hold the mouse, you can move the cursor around the black areas and just skip to the end
This may have been suggested but, i remember the one creepypasta that always got me when i was younger. The "buried alive" creepypasta in Pokémon, i couldn't sleep for weeks
we’re nearing the end of traumathon 2 and to be completely honest i’ll be super bummed when it’s over,,
having a boose video every single night has been an absolute dream. cheers to you, man!
The one thing that scared me as a kid was the Missing Persons segment from Primer Impacto on Univision because of the creepy music

It took me a long while to remember, but it was some game about the show Cyberchase, which I really liked, but unfortunately remember nothing about.
Looks like the dragon ate too much!"
And it was just a fucking image of the dragon as a corpse on the ground, and some other character picking up its for some reason decapitated head???
There was no blood or jumpscares or anything; it was just purely silent and sudden.
I'm sure if I saw it now, it wouldn't be scary at all, but wtF that messed me up as a child >:"D
I'm going to try and see if the game still exists, but it might not now since it was probably mid 2000s.
--
*EDIT:* I actually found the game!! It was surprisingly quick to show up :O
And just as I guessed, it's.. not scary at all LOL
It's some dumb game that's supposed to teach you x2 multiplication tables. I played through it, and yep!! The dragon's decapitated at the end just like I remembered!
I played through it a couple of times to see if I missed anything, and it turns out that the dragon might actually be a costume?? I almost didn't notice it, but I think part of it is supposed to look like a zipper. Kid-me clearly didn't notice that LOL
Either way, I'm glad I got to relive this memory I almost forgot about, even if I got terrified over nothing lmao
Game?
the scary maze game brings me back, my older cousins had me play it as a kid during a family reunion.
i recall the adults talking to someone through skype and/or each other, until the scary maze noise in full volume glory disrupts the whole-ass neighborhood
lmao the black licorice game definitely scared me as a kid, and so did the Scary Scavenger Hunt games on the Garfield website - iirc there's a couple jumpscares in the first one, and I put off playing the second one until I was an adult because I'd been told one of the rooms had a corpse sitting in a chair and I was too afraid to see it (obviously it's not as bad as an 11-year-old might have thought it was--)
for a more unique one, when I was in about 6th grade, I stayed up late enough to catch an episode of Metalocalypse about the band meeting a little girl with cancer. at the very end of the episode one of the guys turns the girl around to find her dead, and it zooms in on her face as maggots crawl around her eyes and mouth while he screamed and panicked. it messed me up for years and I still haven't seen anything else from the show since--
OHH MAN THAT EPISODE WAS SURE SOMETHING
the guy that sees her dead is Toki, and she was there to meet him because he’s seen as the “cutesy one” and he was SICK OF IT in this ep so he acts all dark and evil up until the end where. that scene occurs
one movie that I attribute to my arachnophobia is the movie "eight-legged freaks" despite the fact it's supposed to be a horror-comedy the CGI spiders scared me to death as a child
Oh boy I’d would never want to see movies about Spiders since I have a deathly fear of Spiders
shit that scared to death when i was a kid:
-Small Soldiers *[the fucking Gwendy Dolls man]*
-a weird animated short film called "Simon Sneed" about a kid who collects bugs and ends up turning into one (the CGI was awful and the slow moves, dear god....); this was aired in a show called "X Chromosome" which featured other animated segments, but i can't seem to any information about it aside for some of the shorts on TH-cam (Monie being one of them)
-Thomas the tank engine (it was a nice show, but....the movements again, dammit)
*-OBEY THE WALRUS*
-Jeff The Killer (i was already 18 and in college by the time creepypastas became popular in my country (and it doesn't scare me anymore), but this fucked me up so badly that i could not sleep peacefully for a good solid month)
GOD, THE GWENDY DOLLS. I saw that movie when I was like, 5. "Let's see if her head comes off!"

Holy shit! I searched it up! It’s reeeeaaaal bad! 😨
That ET one honestly is relatable, but its amazing. I met the actress of the mother and she is amazing.

I mean floweys head TV thing shows a black and white screaming lady, i guess that is spooky?
@@ketwarrior1981 i have seen the image 7 times, it keeps popping up in random discord servers.
I remember that scene from E.T
And mimi was terrifying
The game from Nickelodeon opened up parts of my brain that havent been unlocked in forever.
You should do a vid on lsd dream emulator and the weird/creepy visuals in it. Specifically the shrouded men.
oh yeah, what gorgeous game
Somehow I was able to find my way home, and it really didn't traumatize me that much, but the feeling of being lost and alone still scare me to this day.
this game is called Pico vs Uberkids
As a kid I was scared of the animatronic trex from jurrasic park.
Your episodes on Traumathon has informed me about a lot of cool movies and games I never really knew about before and I appreciate your explanations on it and also enjoy hearing your experiences with it. As a young person that enjoys discovering more classics, I find Traumathon very interesting.
Goose: Im currently dating someone who-
Me: OOOOOOOO 😱😱😏😏
The only thing I can remember being consistently scared of as a kid were 2 scenes from the Ghostbusters movies. The skeleton cabbie from the first, and the scene in the second where all the ghost pop out in the abandoned subway line. I always had to look away or close my eyes. Every time.
The exorcist? Oh you mean the movie based on the scary maze game??
