I've seen more video of it, when it gets to _really_ dangerous stuff, you can hear panic in the newscaster's voice. At one point during the clip showed, when the warning was stronger he uttered "please don't forget 2013!". It's kinda eerie.
(Regarding the hell noise.) Could be getting confused with another type of japanese alert system, but that noise is meant to turn on all tvs in the household to display that message.
When i was young, there would always be the occasional "test" interruptions either in the middle of the news or shows being broadcasted, like back in the late or mid 2000's I would be watching the Simpson's reruns on Fox around 10 at night, and would hear and see the "test" blaring in my ears, and it would always scare the shit out of me, and the announcers voice would always just send chills down my spine just saying, "this is a test, of the national emergency services" blah, blah, blah, in the most dead, monotone voice you could imagine, it was just so creepy as hell.
Nickelodeon runs their emergency alert tests in the middle of the night, like 4am. I found this out the hard way when I woke up to sirens playing over fairly odd parents at 4am, yikes
That British one got me. Especially since it acknowledges the severe gravity of if one decides to flee. It's basically saying you can die in your home happy or if you leave your probably gonna die in a much worse way
Sounds like a typical British response to me, tbh. :p "Great, not only do I have to feed the vet, take the cat to the dog, put the car in the washing machine, _and_ hang out the kids, the sky is now on fire as well. STEVE! I'm going to the pub, and I might be some time! *slams door*"

"Hey man we probably got an earthquake, but it's cool, that shit happens all the time here" "Holy FUCK DO YOU GUYS REMEMBER THE LAST TIME WE GOT FUCKING BOMBED JESUS CHRIST"
Every other country: WARNING WARNING!!! The UK: Oh dear I'm sorry for interrupting Countdown but we've been attacked by nuclear bombs. Put a cup of tea on.
I was almost asleep one night with headphones on when my phone suddenly blared this sound throughout my pitch black room, scaring the absolute hell out of me. Apparently it was a warning for a tornado that actually wasn't going to affect my area, but it still scared me shitless nonetheless.
It is my duty to help the human. One of these duties is keeping them safe from natural threats outside of my virtual world. This is my first time doing this. I just received the notification. I hope the human wakes up and saves themselves! human: OH SHIT TORNADO FUCK FUCK FUCK GET THE DOG IN THE BASEMENT GODDAMNIT I did my duty. ^^
Note: that sound is only used for earthquake alerts. Different sounds are used for different emergencies, that one's just so common because Japan's the most seismically-active landmass on earth. This entire system is J-Alert, and (at least on the PA systems that I think replaced their sirens) the emergency types that have unique sounds to themselves are: earthquake early warning, tsunami-related alerts, and attacks against their nation (be they terrorist or military). Everything else uses the generic sound. Hear them here: th-cam.com/video/hrt26UfL13I/w-d-xo.html
Everytime that sound plays, my chest tightens and I tear up. Same thing with the other countries sounds too. No matter how many times I've watched videos about this shit, I always end up on the verge of crying. This is truly some traumatizing shit for me.
I feel this. I had to disable the Amber Alert noise on my phone because I was developing sleep anxiety/insomnia from worrying about whether or not the noise would go off in the middle of the night. It's not ideal, but there's something about the noise that hits me the wrong way, so I definitely get where you're coming from
This would happen to my parents tv all the time when we had cable. It would be 4 am, everyone is like asleep and then just that screeching noise would start to play. It would always wake us up, did not help my paranoid anxious self one bit.
when the emergency alert test would go off, my mom’s cockatiel would always start chirping. we didn’t really know why, maybe he liked the sound? maybe not? idk. but he was a nice little man. Rest in peace Chicken 💕
That happened when I was with a group of friends back in high school an we (along with a lot of other people) would hang out at the local library which wasn't too far away, the entire library's worth of cell phones just blared at the same time except for one of my friend's which didn't and she was disappointed. It was so loud but hilarious at the same time cause it was rather quiet before like 100 or so cellphones went off
same goes for a power outage. I’ve only been in a grocery store during an outage once and it was years ago, but it’s funny how quickly people reflexively reach for their phones.
One time we got an emergency warning for a tornado while at the prom. Every phone screeched simultaneously. It was wild. Also we don't get tornadoes often in NY so that was scary.
XDDD Which reminds me of something when my school had a Tornado Warning. It wasn’t like that type of scary, another. I was very focused on my assignment I was doing. Mainly since we were in a Tornado Watch, and since I didn’t wanna think about it, I chose school over thinking about massive alerts. Then, my focus took a few seconds to break, and everyone was getting up and seemed distressed. The teacher motioned all of us out of the room, which I had no idea what was going on. Everyone was trying to get out of the room. I had no idea what just happened to. I was scared to be honest. I ran up and asked the helper teacher (not the main one) for what was going on, but I think she was to focused on getting the kids out, and ignored me. Now, we all took a slight turn to a long hallway in our school. Suddenly, the teachers told us to line up against the wall, crouch down, and cover our head. Yeah... I was terrified at this point. Something in me feared it was a tornado, (which I think there was, but I heard it was in the air so it didn’t do much) but I thought I was not lucky enough to have a tornado happen to me. (Kinda like bad luck, also not. Like I’m to average to have anything good or bad to happen) I did as they said, and I was shaking. Kids were crying and trying to hold back tears, I was so confused, the teachers said for us to be silent but if we whispered for like a second in terror, they would just give us a hand signal to calm down. I was so confused. By here, the noise outside wasnt much. It wasn’t a lot through all of it honestly. I had a kid with severe anxiety next to me, and she was crying. (I have moderate anxiety, and I’m not gonna go into detail on how much I freaked out) through some of it, I was just thinking a lot, shock, and anything. I did sometimes take my arms off, since- let’s just say I was holding them wrong, and my elbows were pressed against the hard tile floor. But yeah... I can’t remeber much... it was just a mix of emotions. After a while, someone walked down the hallway (the teachers were sitting, and watching us to make sure we were safe) and apparently, it was one of the Vice Principal’s. (My school has 2 vice principal’s. One for Elementary grades, one for Middle and High school.) They said that it was almost over, and we would stay in that position for just a few more minutes to be 100% sure we were safe. Then, we were allowed to get up. As soon as I stood up, both of my legs were completely numb. I couldn’t feel them at all- (Probably since the blood was in a weird flow when in the position I was, and I stood up suddenly.) but, the feeling quickly returned. I walked up to the teacher before we went back in the classroom, and I asked what happened. That’s when I learned there was a Tornado Warning- qwq (Sorry if this is long- ps, for when the dude in this video mentions North Carolina- how many peeps like me and dem are from/was there-? ;-;)
This sound has always disturbed me. Living in Louisiana, we get way too many of these and its impossible to tell what these guys are saying. Its always so muffled and terrifying that i can't tell what is happening.
yeah, I heard them a lot when I was growing up as a kid here, but they never really scared me. In fact, I have a sort of nostalgia for when I used to watch tv and the tests would come on, but I guess I'm a little weird for liking the noise lol
True story- I live in the Midwest and as soon as the “nerrk” sound went off, the weekly emergency siren test started and the combination of the two, despite me knowing it is bright and sunny out today, made me instantly freeze up. Thanks for that, Goose.
There’s this niche fandom on TH-cam I found a while back that makes fake EAS videos, and theorizes about possible emergency situations. I remember watching one that had a 40 min video about what would be showing on different media broadcasts during an F6 tornado. It had voice acting and everything. It was creepy as hell. I wouldn’t recommend watching it at night.
I'm 16 and live in Hawai'i currently. I was only 14 when my mom got the message on her phone that essentially said that our death is imminent. It's hard to talk about, but just imagine being told that you're life is going to end before it even began. The main thought that kept repeating as I hid underneath my parent's bed was "You're never going to go on your first date, you're never going to get your first kiss, you're never going to graduate high school, you're never going to get your first job, you're own home, you're own family, you never even got your driver's license." My parents will say there's nothing wrong with me, but I'm almost certain I have ptsd because of what happened then.
That's terrifying and I'm sorry that you had to go through that :( If things get worse for you I suggest going to a therapist, that can be hard to deal with on your own and there's no shame in getting help!
That’s really sad, I’m 15 I can’t even imagine what u went thru. And people can definently be traumatized and get PTSD from that sort of thing because it felt like u were gonna die.
That really sucks man, its so stupid that that incident even happened in the first place. As someone who also struggling with ptsd, try to speak to your parents about talking to a therapist. If you can’t reach a therapist, speak to your school counselors or another adult you trust about how you’ve been feeling. Ptsd sucks, but I promise one day you’ll be able to find ways to cope with what you went through. My best wishes to you!
I have the up.ost sympathy for you and similiar to what others said, definitely go seek someone to talk to but also it might help you if yiu realize you feeling the way you did is a good thing and means you are not dead inside already. You obviously care about life and expeiencing it so justctry to keep a happy mind about that . alot of ppl myself included would have been perfectly contempt with dying that day as morbid as that sounds. Im 30 but I still have so much to experience but at this point I really could care less and its been like this for a while now. I just dont care to do alot anymore because I dont want to waste anyones time by being around them, or taking that house or aptartment that someone else could use more than I, or have a kid with someone when they could find someone 10× better than I am and live a better life with them instead. I honestly feel like dying would help so many ppl out more than I am being alive even though I try by best everyday to treat everyone I meet with the upmost respect.
You showing "servicio a la comunida" clip of Selene Delgado gave me chills. You should do a video about that urban legend. I pretty sure a lot of people would be interested to hear such thing.
This sound still gives me the chills, but it reminds me of something from my childhood. After my parents split up, my dad would leave me alone while he went out. He had a police scanner that he left on and I was too scared to turn it off. So I would sit there and listen to the messages, not understanding them, and holding a pillow close. Also, the fake zombie warning happened in my hometown. My girlfriend told me she had stayed home that day because she was sick. Her mom was with her and heard it also. Her mom grabbed supplies, grabbed my girlfriend, and got into the car to pick up my girlfriend's siblings from school. Luckily, her mom found out that it was fake before she pulled her other kids out of class. I do not remember it, and when I heard about it years later, I was surprised.
@Dirk Dick Strider Rider Maybe, my girlfriend's mom is a bit off her rocker. We don't even live anywhere near the ocean, but she would probably still believe it.
@@alexandercorbett1147 It happened in 2013, so my girlfriend and I would have been in 6th grade because I know for sure it was before we were in middle school.
I am so familiar with the emergency warning noise. My family has a radio outside. I can't remember why we started, but I think it was when we lived out in the country and there were frequent tornadoes. When we moved, our dogs would freak out without any radio as background noise, so we kept it there. Got a new dog, they also grew up with the radio. I grew up with the radio. We carried radios as communication and also to locate each other in the middle of nowhere. If we are outside with no radio, we sing songs for the same reason. And, at noon -- which is when the emergency test usually happens -- we go dead silent, even if there is no radio. We go silent in anticipation of the noise. It is like we worship the ancient god Radios, and plan our lives accordingly.
That sound absolutely terrified my older brother when he was little. It still kinda freaks him out but he's almost 23 so obviously not as much as it did back then. He actually uses it for d&d sometimes. It really gives off the whole "Something very very bad is about to be announced and you're kinda fucked" vibe
This sound alone gives me an anxiety feeling in my gut. I remember one if my brothers telling me about one time when he was home alone (I'm pretty sure) and there was an amber alert. The warning sound played from the TV and all of the homephones, so it was really loud through the whole house and scared him so bad. I think an amber alert is the worst disaster I can remember being warned of through the warning system.
In Germany we don't have any of these. We usually have a siren alarm (which gets tested very rarely though and sirens are outdated and sometimes broken) but even this alarm arrives too late. I remember when there was an actual tornado (yes, a tornado in Germany thanks to climate change) in my close area that destroyed a small portion of my town (it was actually on TV as well after) and the only warning that came was from the sirens of the nearby town in the Netherlands. This explains why the sirens sounded so weird and uncommon and scared me to death at first. However the national weather service didn't give a warning for my place either but the dutch national weather service did. This was a pretty wild experience. Overall Germany is pretty lazy and careless when it comes to warnings over all. One major example was the just recent flooding catastrophy in 2021 in Ahrtal where people were also warned too late to evacuate.
In my area, they do the test around 2:00-2:30 am. Every week. Usually *right* after I fall into “almost sleep” - when your asleep but aware of the sounds around you….EVERY WEEK!!!
It's there in case of another war or bombing. Nobody in my family has ever had to hear a warning sound except my grandpa during ww2 but it's cause we have very little to worry about with weather so we don't exactly need it for any other reason than attacks upon the country. Houses are built quite close together to help climatize the areas against the colder months so attacks such as bombings are a bigger issue to us and our safety.
oh my god, the Selene Delgado clip gave me mad chills, even tho most of its history is in Spanish it’s a very interesting myth in the Mexican community, I think you should give it a shot for a video man
@@gawrguraenthusiast5675 basically it's a myth about a Mexican girl who supposedly went missing and she hasn't been found, and she may not even be real
when i was a kid and the emergency alerts came on tv, even if it was just a test, i would start to cry and cover my ears and run and hide. even now that sound makes my eyes tear up involuntarily

The EAS Alert is a phobia of mine... I literally can't stand hearing it! I had to pause over and over just to make it through this video. I feel like I'm having a panic attack every time I hear it because it makes me so unnerved and full of anxiety. EAS IS ABSOLUTELY TERRIFYING!!!
I cant tell if I got chills from that noise or from the fan in my room blowing on me. Here I am, almost 19, and still scared shitless about the EAS noise. I would much prefer the local one with the arcade game sounding beeps!
i?? strangely am experiencing literally everything this comment has to offer? WHAT? hello fellow almost-19 year old who is cold and scared of EAS sounds
The Japanese earthquake early warning system may sound relaxing to you, but you try getting woken up by it late at night or early in the morning and bracing for shaking
Putting an EAS in the middle of the intro was a stroke of genius! I've always had a fondness for EAS, probably because it used to scare the crap out of me as a kid. I love that someone's talking about it in a creepy capacity!
When I was younger, I used to fall asleep to my radio playing music. At ungodly hours of the night, like, 1-2 am, they'd run tests of the alarm sound during the broadcast. They'd always say it was a test, but it never helped. It was the worst for an anxiety riddled kid in the dark. I don't sleep to radios anymore lmao
@@whatthefridge1o1 omg yes, one night I fell asleep and before I did I got an Amber alert and then at like 3 am I was asleep and one of them woke me up ! Two in one night, it was crazy!
Same here, though not just because "sudden loud noise." I've been stuck in my hometown pretty much all my life, and most people here have either been born here too, or moved in and haven't left. Tbh it's... kinda unsettling how rare it is for someone to actually move out, successfully at least. Those who do leave usually end up back here some way or another. Sorry, that's kinda off topic. Point is, most of us kids knew each other at least well enough to put a name to a face from school. And everytime I hear an amber alert (which we have a concerningly high amount of), I get this just... I dunno how to explain it. Not quite fear, but more of like, a pit in your stomach, y'know? Because every time I hear that alert, my brain starts running through the list of people I used to know that might have just... disappeared. Honestly I wonder if it's one day gonna be my name.
One time I woke up with a amber alert for some reason it sounded like I could still hear the ringing in my ear even if it stopped on my phone. It’s just kept happening until I fell back asleep. And now I hate them.
The worst way this can happen is if you're just about to drift off to sleep and it blares into your ear, waking you up completely. That sucks. I fear when it may happen again.
Emergency Alert System sounds are bone chilling....... Honestly, I have an irrational pathological fear of dying from a nuclear bomb. It’s horrifying to think about hearing air raid sirens or an emergency alert sound before going outside and seeing a bomb being dropped by an enemy plane. Only being able to watch in utter horror as you know you’re about to die and can do absolutely nothing about it.
omg i live in ewa beach and i remember that emergency alert going off.. i told my mom about it and all she did was tell me that shes gonna go to the store to get a drink before we die
In Brazil we are not used to an alarm like the one shown in the video, we have a television program opening, the program is called "plantão da globo", which bring ups urgent news, and everytime the opening song starts playing we know shit went really bad
This actually is very scary considering I was in the north of Maryland and than moved to Virginia. Although in Maryland it was worse because every winter there were alerts because we would have power outages or horrible snow storms In Virginia we have tornados and hurricanes.
PestoMayo We live right next to a dip in the road in the woods that goes over a creek. A few good inches of rain and it’s a death trap because no one knows there’s a drop under it. Cars get swept off all the time and they close the damn road right in front of our house.
I remember being in preschool and waiting for my parents to come pick me up. Class was over and the teacher didn't have anything else to teach, so we were watching TV. The EAS went off, and we all immediately panicked. The teacher literally just said "It's a test, just keep watching." Also as for the local alert, that thing actually sounds kinda cool to me. Much less creepy. The standard one sounds like Armageddon has started, but the local one just sounds like an Atari 2600.
I always thought it was aliens or demons. I would always freak out when the inaudible voice would come up. I wouldn't scream or cry, but panic inside and watch my back untill I forget about it.
I’m from Russia and for some reason I’ve never dealt with an EAS alert on tv or elsewhere. I do get a text message warning of different extreme (not really) weather conditions sometimes but they’re not alarming at all. However, air raid sirens tests are the scariest stuff I can think of, they usually come with now warning where I’m from
Goose you made the best scary videos, you’re music isn’t mind numbing and you don’t stop playing it when the scary stuff is happening, I know this sounds trivial but it really helps me not get crushed in fear and still have a spooky good time Love the vids dude
I remember being a little kid, waking up at like 3am to a terrifying screeching neon green screen. Scared the shit outta me. Still does. I hate that noise. Also, I live in Tennessee, and I’m always getting alerts for missing kids in NC. Weird stuff.
The Japan ones seem to be based off video game tropes. The Relaxing one is warning you the area is dangerous and you should take caution but shouldn't be afraid. *The Hell one is saying you fucked up big time and summoned the final boss accidentally and they're about to destroy the entire balance of time if you don't react in time*
Well, when you think about it it’s really clever. The entire point of the emergency alert systems is to disseminate as much information as fast as possible. By using a scary digital header it not alone spreads information really fast but also catches the listener’s and viewer’s attention.
Strangely when I was younger I was never scared by the EAS sound, probably because I lived in a good area with generally moderate weather so whenever I heard it it was usually just a test or something happening relatively far away. But now that I'm older and I'm aware of more of these alert systems and what they can be used for it freaks me out
I'm from Canada and for some reason the warming alarm would go off as warnings and nothing even happened I was terrified especially because I think I have a phobia of loud noises
Oh yes, I remember 2018 VIVIDLY. I remember having a really happy dream, a dream so happy that I woke up smiling despite being woken up from my phone. It wasn't the alert system that woke me up, it was a phone call from my girlfriend. Remembering that she was in my happy dream, I answered the phone with a cherry "Good morning!" But my good mood halted like a scratch of a record when she responded with "It's not a good morning." I asked her what's wrong and she asked me if I checked my phone. Before putting her on speaker I saw the warning. A freaking ballistic missile was heading straight towards Hawaii. My heart dropped (Note: I lived real close to Pearl Harbor, one of our bases and an ideal target for a missile). I told her that she and her family would be okay but I got to check up with my family. After giving her a reassuring goodbye, I hung up and woke my Dad up who also wasn't aware of what was going on. His only advice? "Close the windows and stay away from them" We did just that and waited in the living room. The only noise that was breaking the silence was the TV which was tuned to the live news. I held my breath and prayed that we would be okay. 20 minutes later, we got word it was a false alarm. A HUGE sigh of relief. That is a moment that will stick with me for a long time.
I've had dreams of hearing the SAME Header from the EAS and moments later looking out my window to see a mushroom cloud coming from Cincinnati. I can't imagine experiencing that for real in your shoes.
The zombie hack reminded me of the first time I remembered being scared shitless. I was awake at 2 AM watching teen Nick when their ads or whatever started keeping tabs on an apparent zombie apocalypse. I specifically remembered being fucking terrified, I want to say I was 8 , 10 at the oldest.
Its just terrifying, nowhere is safe, light projected by the sun would turn you into a flesh monster that will stop at nothing to bring someone else into the light, limited food, water, and inevitable doom
Hate the sound of this noise. It scared me a lot more when I was smaller, and gave me such a huge feeling of dread. Same goes for the static from channels that didn't work and the blue screens at the end of VHS tapes. Not much scares me anymore but I still dont like the sound of uncommon sirens. Edit: GB mentioned the THX sound in his new vid and it made me remember how much i hated that too, no reason to scare the shit out of me like that smh
I live in Newfoundland and we dont get warnings like this like, ever. So when i took my first trip to Florida (a long time ago now) , got in our rental car, and heard the blaring alarm, i starting bawling because i thought the world was actually ending
I remember being like 13 and I was babysitting late at night watching whatever was on at 11:30 pm and one of these popped up. It really put me on edge because It was really dark, I wasn’t in my own home, and the only person with me was the child who was sleeping.
I’m from Singapore and they play that alarm + 2 others (depending on situation, all of which are hella scary) monthly and let me just say, all of my 20 years on earth those sounds have never failed to trigger my fight or flight response. thanks for validating, and scaring, me by including it in this video🙃 ps. because our country’s so small, the alarms are blasted offline too
The EAS was one of the most terrifying sounds I have ever heard in my life. I used to freak out when I heard it as a child. Oh God the nostalgia. Thanks for giving me back the nightmares Goose Boose! 😅
I was stationed at Pearl Harbor when the missile alert went off. I didn't have any time to rush to my submarine at the pier so I just sat in the smokepit and looked out into the harbor and waited for the flash. Myself and everyone around the barracks was cheering and laughing. I was kinda pissed initially that nothing happened tbh.
I woke up at the middle of the night to my phone making alarm noises like at 0:23 because there was an amber alert. Then an automated voice started speaking of the details. I had to turn my phone off. That gave me chills down my spine.
0:44 Shoutouts to Mexican Channel 5 I remember that always killing the mood with news of a missing person that legit made me worry for them but nothing we could do about it several cities away, I just wanted to watch Spongebob or something

Also not to mention they have the J-Alert sounds playing *outside*, on loudspeakers littered literally everywhere.

Great word.

Which reminds me of something when my school had a Tornado Warning.
That’s when I learned there was a Tornado Warning- qwq

The british one is the biggest "Lay down and accept your death or suffer immense pain. God save the queen." message I've ever fucking heard.
I'm 16 and live in Hawai'i currently. I was only 14 when my mom got the message on her phone that essentially said that our death is imminent. It's hard to talk about, but just imagine being told that you're life is going to end before it even began. The main thought that kept repeating as I hid underneath my parent's bed was "You're never going to go on your first date, you're never going to get your first kiss, you're never going to graduate high school, you're never going to get your first job, you're own home, you're own family, you never even got your driver's license." My parents will say there's nothing wrong with me, but I'm almost certain I have ptsd because of what happened then.
man that sounds horrifying
When did that happen anyway? Telling from the footage it looked like late 90s or early 2000s. God, if I heard that I would have panicked so much.

This sounds brings back bad memories from storms
In my area, they do the test around 2:00-2:30 am. Every week.
Usually *right* after I fall into “almost sleep” - when your asleep but aware of the sounds around you….EVERY WEEK!!!
Creepy how the UK has a prerecorded message
It's there in case of another war or bombing. Nobody in my family has ever had to hear a warning sound except my grandpa during ww2 but it's cause we have very little to worry about with weather so we don't exactly need it for any other reason than attacks upon the country. Houses are built quite close together to help climatize the areas against the colder months so attacks such as bombings are a bigger issue to us and our safety.

I specifically remembered being fucking terrified, I want to say I was 8 , 10 at the oldest.
The EAS sound still scares the shit out of me, and a huge part of why I was (and still am) terrified of Siren Head.
I'm scared of when day breaks
Its just terrifying, nowhere is safe, light projected by the sun would turn you into a flesh monster that will stop at nothing to bring someone else into the light, limited food, water, and inevitable doom
@@wipe93 I personally think that 4666 and 2852 are the cruelest SCP’s. They appear at some of the happiest times of your life and totally ruin it.
When I heard the Israeli alert one part in my mind screamed at me to go to the bomb shelter in my house and the other one just laughed at it
Hate the sound of this noise.
Bro that blue screen one is just... eugh, 😖
I do remember that THX screen though! I remember _REFUSING_ to watch Monsters Inc. because of that stupid sound.
I live in Newfoundland and we dont get warnings like this like, ever. So when i took my first trip to Florida (a long time ago now) , got in our rental car, and heard the blaring alarm, i starting bawling because i thought the world was actually ending
That sound is my one actual fear, thanks for reminding me
Hell alarm is like a Japanese version of the siren from Silent Hill and makes me want a Japanese version of SH lol
I remember being like 13 and I was babysitting late at night watching whatever was on at 11:30 pm and one of these popped up. It really put me on edge because It was really dark, I wasn’t in my own home, and the only person with me was the child who was sleeping.
I’m from Singapore and they play that alarm + 2 others (depending on situation, all of which are hella scary) monthly and let me just say, all of my 20 years on earth those sounds have never failed to trigger my fight or flight response. thanks for validating, and scaring, me by including it in this video🙃
ps. because our country’s so small, the alarms are blasted offline too
The EAS was one of the most terrifying sounds I have ever heard in my life.
Bro, whenever i hear that damn noise, I'm instantly put into fight or flight. I have genuine fear of that noise
I woke up at the middle of the night to my phone making alarm noises like at 0:23 because there was an amber alert. Then an automated voice started speaking of the details. I had to turn my phone off. That gave me chills down my spine.
0:44 Shoutouts to Mexican Channel 5
I remember that always killing the mood with news of a missing person that legit made me worry for them but nothing we could do about it several cities away, I just wanted to watch Spongebob or something
7:35 Singapore: Plays ear-molestingly loud alarm
Also Singapore: do not be alarmed
