You lose ground clearance wiht the big bulb, you loseturning radius with CVD, you lose time with waiting for the beeps with tank steer that might not work on rocks. What do you really gain?
When is somebody gonna mount a motor in each wheel hub like Mammuth RC but actually setup properly? Being able to control each wheel independently with no transmissions and no axles would make this design concept the pinnacle of crawling.
So glad you have these, im dying to know how much they will take. Im interested in them but worried about the strength. Big price but if they handle really being bound up I might do it.
I realize this is just a product you're testing so please don't take anything personally but I feel like this is just a very expensive "toy grade" gimmick... Sure, I'm sure it has some fun factors but at the same time I feel like something similar is likely to show up on a Walmart shelf in the next year or so... Once again, you did a great job of demonstration, but it just kinda has that "toy grade" appearance in real time usage. Thank you for the demonstration and video though so each person can decide for themselves if this is something they think they would enjoy for themselves or not. So I’ve been a crawler guy for maybe a year now and I run up mountains and I see no benefit to these bulky axels. plus they are made for a crawler which crawls on rocks but the designer says not to use them on high traction surfaces 🤣 I do want to see the insides though 🤔
I can't tell what this was doing that was different than good tuning on its original axles.... its a good concept, but its not 400$ value better than good $150 axles
It uses a motor for each wheel. To me it’s not worth $400.00. And in the world of realism it’s fake. On a real life rock crawler doesn’t have anything like this, that I know of. I could be wrong. Someone could have a real one hidden in their rock garage
Nope. I'm saddened to see the hobby drifting further and further from scale comps. Seems like everything I see now is another way to bend the rules and run LCG cheater rigs.
400-500 sounds like they are out of my league if I'm going to spend that much I'm getting a whole new rig

When I lived in Jax I worked at a Powersports dealer and sold Sherps! Neat tech for sure. Glad to see it coming to the RC world.

its something thats different, and this isn't for comps as its not legal at all, but its the first I've seen of any of this.
I don’t think it serves a purpose on crawlers or trail trucks. I’m all for positive videos but I think a spade needs to be called a spade.
I mean, it's really cool, and im sure it's extremely capable but for $400+? I paid that for a shelf queen xmaxx 😂

for $400 bucks? The real question will you be able to use it during competitions? Will they ban this type of function for rock crawling?

They're really good, the price is the wall for many people will prefer to stay away from this axles. Minimum $400 to $600 nope
