I finally bought that can opener and I LOVE it!! Its so easy to use, especially if you have arthritis or had hand surgery like I did...I could do it one handed and no risk of cutting myself with the edges. love love love it!!
Crackers with hummus and tea. I feed my Bristlenose whatever green veggies I'm having myself that day. Plenty of garden peas, cabbage, courgettes and cucumber. I also freeze whatever leftover greens into little cubes and drop them in if I have no fresh greens to hand

I use Aquatic Foods algae and spirulina wafers from Zeigler foods on Amazon. Just bought five lbs of large wafers for $43.99. Couple different sizes available. My plecos, corys and guppies love them!
For my Plecos & Cory, I use Hikari sinking pallet for catfish and Hikari algae wafers. Pallets for catfish & loaches have proteins so I mix it up. And I do feed some fresh veggies too. I’m definitely going to try the food you mentioned. I got one female super red Pleco recently. I’ve been thinking about trying to breed Plecos for the first time.
I like to feed the Sera algae onip tabs. Works well for Cory's and plecos as well as other omnivores. Feed em like you would any algae disc (you don't need to stick them to the glass)
Molly fry love the moam on the "Cheap Chinese" sponge filters. Walmart sells their brand of veggies super reasonably. I've been feeding my bottom feeders API bc I got some from a Craigslister.
I've raised 10,000 plecos ...tons of bristlenose, and they always get algae tabs (conservatively) along with small amounts of brine shrimp and blood worms. When I'm planning to breed a pair and right when the babies leave the cave I give them zucchini that I blanch and freeze. Otherwise, I find they are healthy and happy without zucchini or beans other than on occasion.. Plecos are smart and will cover every square inch of their tank to find food, and as noted in this video, they eat anything! I also find they eat off of broad leaf plants like Amazon swords, though I don't know if they are eating dead plant matter or algae that's growing on the leaves. By the way...It's late morning...so I'm having coffee #2 and some nice rye bread toast as I make my way to the fish room to do a little maintenance. And if I can weigh in on mulm...mulm is NOT bad unless it affects the water quality. So for those of you who have been told mulm is a bad thing, then please note that much of the floor of oceans and lakes and streams is mulm. Do your water changes and don't worry about it. Coffee and ginger snaps; watching on Sunday morning. Also, I have lost a rubber nose pleco, a clown pleco and an otocinclus all in the last 6 months, in the same 29 gallon tank. I tried using the algae wafers, but I could never tell if they got to them (some of the other fish seemed to like them, too).
Non of my fish will touch veggies. But I use flakes, pellets , bottom feeder tablets, alge tablets, and brine shrimp, not all at once but change it every few days
Just coffee today. Amazing how quickly the plecos came out to eat. I work at your local supermarket with the can can sale. Not the one local to you but the same local store if you know what I mean The can can sale is coming up in a couple weeks.

Wings are either Mango Habanero from BW3 or 911 from Hooters, usually whatever is about the 2nd lowest heat level as ghost pepper type sauces just plan hurt and no taste. You know now thinking about it, It is the cucumbers that don't sink, not the green beans, oops.

I have a Albino Bristlenose Pleco that loves blood worms and any thing else I feed my Sliver dollars. She spends her night eating algae and any thing else she can find. My go to snack is Cherry dump cake and ice tea to drink.

Thanks for video, wish information was this good 20+ years ago. I know now not to put a pleco in a 100 gallon tank, its really difficult to get rid of a 2 foot pleco lol. And 20 years ago the pet store had nothing fancy like the Bristol nose or the small verities.

I just got a few Bristle Nose plecos for all my tanks I have had them about a month, they are small but I wonder if they get any of the beans, wafers or even cumbersome I toss in there or if my fish that are all pigs eat it all before the bristle nose get some!
I feed Sloilent green Rapashy, shrimp pellets and blanched zucchini then frozen. Never tried green bean but will see how they do. I feed them usually after lights out also good for the Corys
I use Cobalt Brine Shrimp pellets and they also love Hikari Sinking Cichlid Gold mini pellet 3.0 - 3.4mm. My Khuli loaches also know as soon they are dropped in
I personally don't use a feed sack, I use a "feed bag", which btw I'am going to the kitchen and fill-up right now as we speak. With the bag, I can conveniently take gross bites without using my hands. Hands always accommodate sodas; both of them. Obviously I can't drink until I come up for air. I find I'am more efficient this way when doing daily aquarium husbandry. But don't tell my wife I'm doing this. I always keep the door locked and she doesn't know about my weird eating habits. Yours truly ...The strange fish guy.
I feed my plecos :) Every day they get shrimp pellets and Algae waffers :) I will also put in a few times a week shrimp cubes. They float but will eventually reach the bottom and the plecos love them.

What about dwarf clown plecos? I'm aware they like to eat wood and I have ample amounts for him to eat. He's eating it the wood but that's all I can ever see him eat. Plus he hides a lot. Any idea's?

I'm a big fan of Omega One and feed my plecos lots of the Veggie Rounds (and the super color flakes to everyone). They go nuts over them. They get various types of repashy, fresh veggies, shrimp pellets, etc as well. I don't know how well Omega One stands up to some of the other brands, but their ingredients list look pretty good. I know my gastropod army of doom is growing out of control on the stuff.
@@MichaelsFishRoom I'm using bottom scratcher right now, but the fish seem to prefer morning wood. I might try mixing the two with some bug burger. I always add in some calcium powder for the snails and usually some spinach or other greens. Sometimes salmon.
Breakfast time but I am still in bed. I watched a video on the correct way to propagate pothos from a horticulturalist. Cutting a very short length of stem and one leaf. It’s more logical than what most of us do just putting 12 inches of stem in water.

Alyxandra Ramsey yes tofu is a great Pleco food got my lfs feeding it and talked with Cory from Aquarium Co Op at Aquatic Experience and he said a lot of farms feed it to all different kinds of fish ex gold fish. Just protean and calcium great for snails shrimp and so on
Yes, they are OK. A good source of wood if you don't have enough in the tank. I prefer the Kelp Wafers and fresh veggies. But mine also go crazy for them!
Now that I have 3 bristlenose I need to remember to feed the green beans more often, all the fish love them even the tetras! I’ll have to try the Northfin wafers, they’ll eat the Hikari ones but kinda like a kid and broccoli, last and reluctantly. Anyhoo, I’ve never felt sorry for you before but never past 6AM?!?. Dude that sucks like a pleco! No breakfast yet, maybe I’ll make some GARLIC BREAD like Michael’s Eats!!

I feed my plecos Bok choy. Looks cool in the tank and doesn’t foul out too fast. They love it along with a side of watermelon👍🏽

A good trick is to feed that after the lights go off.

@@MichaelsFishRoom usually I do some chopped veggies like cabbage, shredded carrots, shrimp, and cucumber for my fish. I also add some premade foods like freeze dried blood worms and aqueon pleco pellets and then blend them.
What about dwarf clown plecos? I'm aware they like to eat wood and I have ample amounts for him to eat. He's eating it the wood but that's all I can ever see him eat. Plus he hides a lot. Any idea's?
That’s just how clowns act usually. That’s his natural behavior. You should be feeding at night when the lights are out as well.

Hey there my pleco is not doing well we've had him over 3 hrs and he's a beautiful boy but I have neglected to feed him properly from what I've seen and read. Is there any way to revive/save him at this point?

Depends on the pleco and cichlid, and tannins don’t effect PH.

I'm a big fan of Omega One and feed my plecos lots of the Veggie Rounds (and the super color flakes to everyone). They go nuts over them. They get various types of repashy, fresh veggies, shrimp pellets, etc as well. I don't know how well Omega One stands up to some of the other brands, but their ingredients list look pretty good. I know my gastropod army of doom is growing out of control on the stuff.

@@MichaelsFishRoom I'm using bottom scratcher right now, but the fish seem to prefer morning wood. I might try mixing the two with some bug burger. I always add in some calcium powder for the snails and usually some spinach or other greens. Sometimes salmon.
Cucumber slices, pleco sinking tabs, and occasion blood worms for my bristle nose. They are in a community tank.

Breakfast time but I am still in bed. I watched a video on the correct way to propagate pothos from a horticulturalist. Cutting a very short length of stem and one leaf. It’s more logical than what most of us do just putting 12 inches of stem in water.

Alyxandra Ramsey yes tofu is a great Pleco food got my lfs feeding it and talked with Cory from Aquarium Co Op at Aquatic Experience and he said a lot of farms feed it to all different kinds of fish ex gold fish. Just protean and calcium great for snails shrimp and so on

Yes, they are OK. A good source of wood if you don't have enough in the tank. I prefer the Kelp Wafers and fresh veggies.
But mine also go crazy for them!
