Ranger fans keep blaming the coaches totally ignoring this same core group of guys comes up short in the playoffs every season.

But the second Boomer started talking about Laviolette I got annoyed. Im sick of the coaching carousel if they collapse AGAIN. It’s time to consider that maybe just maybe this might be a roster issue.
It's definitely a roster issue. Gallant was thrown under the bus. Laviolette is an excellent coach as well.

@@chris2ferUtoobnope I think you are wrong. At worse the Canes tie the series and then Rangers blow them out in Game 7. Kind of like the NbA Eastern Conference finals when the Heat went up 3-0 but the Celtics came back to tie only to get blown out in game 7.

They insisted on passing the puck to the Canes all night long. When they weren't doing that the puck was bouncing off of their sticks. NOT what you want to do in a series clinching game AT ALL. Just terrible
After watching this team for the last 44 years since I was 11 years I'll really have to take a long look if I want to keep rooting for this team if they blow this series I'm done.

That late penalty in game 4 turned everything around
They have this thing that they love to try and sit on the lead instead of pressing the other team. Zero urgency. Always comes back to bite them in the ass.
What a tough loss. No effort. Played defense the whole game and never went on the attack! Something is up with this team.
Panarin needs to get a hat trick next game
They didnt call too many men. Then panarin hooked right in front of the ref & all the momentum swung & we looked even worse. Rempe gotta sit. If hes not gunna do anything for momentum then he shouldnt be doing his 5 mins.

Rempe and Filda have to play Thursday night. Rempe needs to play more than 4 or 5 mins a game. The kid can play and brings momentum and fear to the other team. Filda needs to play with Kreids and Mika. He can drive the play, has a great set of hands and shot. Fresh legs as well. Defensively, I can't stand how slow our Dmen skate with the puck and can't break the puck out 🤷♂️. My opinion take Gus out and Jones in with Troubs (who I cannot stand) lol. Anyway let's go boys, 1 more win and we go to the conference finals!!!! ☝️🔵⚪️🔴
I believe the majority of fans said Rangers in 6, so lets hope the boys come out and play a full 60 and close this sucker out!
As for the Rangers, the total shading of Carolina after the Rangers went up 3-0 in the series was a sure fire kiss of death. All i heard from the hosts on WFAN was Rangers in 4 and then even more emphatically Rangers in 5 Rangers in 5. They don't have a clue as to how these teams match up and what happens in a series. First, Carolina was favored to win the cup and to beat the Rangers in this series. The first 3 games could have gone either way--these two teams are evenly matched. Rangers have a better goalie but Carolina is superior at full strength which is very important. Rangers have a serious weakness at full strength. Game 4 and 5 found Carolina with their backs against the wall facing elimination. Game 5 in NY was pick em in Las Vegas Doesn't that give these hosts a clue that this might not be a cake walk? Or are they much smarter than the odds makers? Reminds me of the Nuggets who everyone wrote off after the first two games, also a desperate team then
Not saying Rangers and seriously depleted Knicks will lose both series but all this fantasy by WFAN hosts about how much better they are than their opponents bodes ill for the NY teams
And in the Rangers locker room you have Jonathan Quick..pretty much the only soul around who played poorly in net for a few games with LA post season.. (2014) then turned in phenomenal effort beating Sharks 4-3 in a series they were down 0-3.. And Kings won vs Rangers in 2014 Cup Final.

So here we go again with people blaming the coach and saying we were out coached is ridiculous. The problem with this team is THEIR PLAYERS! This team is mentally soft and I've been saying it for years. They have had 3 coaches in 4 years and we still have the same nonsense happening! This is why this team can only win one cup every 50 plus years.

As a ranger fan for 40 years the Rangers will be fine.
We've won one cup in 30 years there's nothing fine about that , we need some urgency and fire now not a can't win em all attitude. I was sophomore in high school in 94 I would like another cup hat to add to that one it's very lonely.
As a Rangers fan for 50 years almost to the day I never say "they will fine" in the playoffs until they win 4 games. Just when I thought that they would be with a 3-0 lead in this series they find a way to remind me that I'm right to celebrate ONLY when they finish the job.
And if the "job" is winning the Stanley Cup I saw that once in my life and they almost blew it then also.
Yesterday's game was mind boggling to say the least. There was no reason to come out as flat as they did.
Even Laviolette looked stunned by what he saw.
Now I am thinking that they could come up with the ultimate disappointment and join the only 4 teams who lost an NHL playoff series after bieng up 3-0.
I am not saying they will lose this one but I am certainly back to my reasonable mindset which is to expect the worse as a Rangers fan and hope for the best. :(
But then, I guess, I could be a Maple Leafs fan. But even a Leafs fan can say that his team won many more championships than the New-York Rangers in the original six teams era.
The Rangers were in control last year against New-Jersey and collapsed miserably after taking a commanding 2-0 lead in the first round.
The Rangers lead Tampa Bay 2-0 in the conference's finals and took a 2 goal lead in game 3 in Tampa before losing that game and the next 3 in 2022.
And now this awful performance yesterday at the Garden giving Carolina hope that they can come back.
Sorry for the long rant but I have seen too much as a Rangers to ever say "they will be fine" until they are.
I thought this year was different but obviously they can't make things easier when they have the opportunity.
Two games to turn it around is a lot ..that’s the luxury of winning 3 in a row..
This is last year all over again & why I never bought in for a second that this team was getting past the second round.
The Canes were always the better team, they just weren't getting the lucky bounces & deflections the Rangers were & it was only a matter of time before their luck ran out.

After last night's game, I'm no longer under the delusion this team is getting to the finals.
I fully expect CAR to win these next two.
If they get lucky (as they have most of this series) & somehow manage to move on, they're getting crushed by FL in 4, maybe 5. (Igor's worth 1 win when the rest of his team isn't leaving him hanging out to dry)

Let me tell you something. Everyone missed Kreiders face after the first period was over. It looked like he was told to stand down. I saw Z man with the same look. It was 0-0 at the time. That bothered me. I was like they look like its 7-0. WTF is up with that? Not one Ranger had any attack in him. Even up 1-0 on a SHG scored by the Captain. Wow, I wonder if Bettman made a call to NYR before the game. How else can you explain that showing in a Game 5 elimination game at home.
@@The1WhoKnowsTheTruth this is not the first time I’ve heard theories on extending series games for “ the good of the game.” Not only from NYR, but from other teams as well. Most will call it being a sore loser, but there is something more to it.
@@Unionjoint There is def something more to it. Last night was a prime example of a team told to mail it in. How else can you explain an entire team doing absolutely nothing to win a game. And that third period? WTF. Third periods are their thing all year. I dont think they lost a game all year taking a lead into the third.

I was hoping Laviolette would have let Rempe out and get something started. Tonight is the night. It's not a have to win it's a MUST win
NYRs looked like they were comfortable winning that game 1-0 against an excellent team fighting for their playoff lives. Safe, if you will. "Safe is death!" - Torts. It was an uninspired, non-urgent, lazy effort where the whole team looked like they were waiting for someone else to make a play. Be that guy! Bring it to them! I blame the coaching strategy at 1-0 to not try to make it 2-0, but at 1-1 I totally blame the lack of guts in this team. There are good losses, Im sure CAR thinks they had a few "good" losses, but that was an absolutely absurd way to lose.
Everybody that couldn’t shut up about 94 now in a full blown meltdown!? Seriously people just chill for a second! That was a terrible performance from the Rangers but they are still a great team. They will win this series.
Do we get Laviogallant or do we get adjustments, canes clearly figured it out . Does the captain show any grit or fire do we get any urgency or passion from this group ? These are gonna be the questions if the rangers have that extra gear or not. LGR!
If the Rangers are eliminated this round, Trouba should be stripped of his captaincy. The guy was a liability since scoring the game's only goal. Give the C to Troch next year

Wrong Boomer! He didn’t “beat” Artemi down the ice…Breadman was practically standing still with no effort to get back on defense whatsoever! Killer instinct is a must in the playoffs and if these Rangers don’t conjure up something close to that it’ll be another colossal, playoff letdown! 🤬

They keep doing a pattern of backing into their own zone during a lead which you absolutely cannot do against these teams remaining in the playoffs. Stop making it easy for these teams entering the zone and keep attacking. If you keep the pressure on, the puck is not stuck in your zone! Simple as that.
Coaching can’t be blamed on this loss rangers had zero effort terrible defense barley had shot attempts so they gotta hold themselves accountable for that one but we can’t say they haven’t played great either just a very disappointing loss but I know the rangers will wake up game 6 🔥🔥🔥

Terrible loss. Not going to beat anyone playing like that. Hopefully it gives them a wake up call. No more freebies. They have bounced back all year I expect the same Thursday night. They need more urgency if going to advance next round hopefully last nights game wakes them up.
Knicks and Rangers started feeling themselves. Next game should tell us everything we need to know about both. In the playoffs you cannot give teams life. Knicks had a chance to win game 3 and messed around. Rangers up 3-0, now 3-2 due to them messing around. Our opponents are stepping up but we are not helping. ATTENTION TO DETAIL. Hello fellow Knick and Ranger fan and MSG dweller. I agreed with your statement. As of last night the Onicks responded with one big bang despite losing another player in OG. Now they need to close out and do it in Game 6 in Indiana. Rangers I hope got the film study and the lecture verbal punishment and grounding of 1 month in this two day stretch for Game 6 in Raleigh. Both need to close out. Rangers need to answer. So do the Knicks.

Big mistakes suck the life out of this team. In the regular season Brodzinski made an egregious turn over against Tampa and they blew a lead. Roslovic made an even worse mistake Monday by flying by Orlov and opened the ice up and it was a dagger. Stop being effing lazy

@@davidstick9207 I mean, injuries might be an issue, but the eyeball test had me favoring the Canes since game 2. The Rangers have not controlled play or outshot the Canes for a single period since game 1. They have been chasing the game and relying on special teams and Igor to bail them out. When that doesn’t happen, they lose. This series could just as easily be over at 4-1 Canes if the Canes were not so bad in playoff OTs. The Rangers will need to dig deep and play their best game of the season to win this series now. We will find out if they have that in them.
@GregAllenF1 Well...I wouldn't go quite that far. They were soundly controlling the boards and lines for the periods I watched. Getting to the loose pucks. One has to look at this realistically...the Canes always were a better skating team. But that isn't what wins in the playoffs. It is the dirty work that wins. I saw the Rangers doing that. Now I don't...now it is the Canes. This is why I love hockey.

They are both, at times the better team. It’s back and forth, neck-and-neck. However, their deadline acquisitions have, on paper and at times, on the ice, put them over the top.

Rangers are toast. Canes have been the better team in every game and last night looked like an NHL team playing a bad high school team. Rangers will get smoked in Game 6 and I predict Canes win game 7 3-2.
