Sad to hear that, I was looking forward to this album the most in your Sabbath deep dives. The record companies at this point are a total lost cause. They totally don't get how people are introduced to music these days.
I will join the chorus in singing your praises as to what an excellent job you did with this series of videos, and how much I/we will miss further episodes! These were most enjoyable and informative! For me, I was especially looking forward to your take on Born Again, since that was the very first Black Sabbath album I was exposed to way back in '84! Alas, it was not meant to be....bummer!
I’m very sorry the series had to end so abruptly but thank you for your kind words! I hope you will stick around for my next series, although the first episode has already been blocked so it’s not off to a great start! 😱
Wow, sorry to end like this. So many good songs and moments in the following albums like Born Again, TYR, etc. Thank you for the great work I hope Rino or WB unlock Black Sabbath soon.
That album was and is my favorite Sabbath to jam with ,Geezers tone dominates this album, great job dude , I'll help you out, this album is a 10, if you don't have it, get it,if you got it ,play it and play it loud,
That sucks. Thanks for putting in all that effort Jeff. It was a really enjoyable ride and I really like your aesthetic. I was looking forward to Mob and Born Again.....but I see you have lots of other deep dives so here goes......
Totally understand your decision. I am very disappointed because this album is a favorite of mine but why put the work in to just get blocked. Shame. Thanks for all the other episodes you have done (still need to watch H&H) because I have loved them all.
That’s unfortunate. I was REALLY looking forward to this one in particular. Mob Rules was my entry point to Sabbath. So, that album holds a special place in my heart. But, I completely understand not go through with it . I thoroughly respect that you don’t want to half-ass it. Though, I haven’t commented on the other videos, I did watch every one and I just want to say thank you for putting those together! My all time favorite band and one of my favorite VC people is a winning combination! Have a great vacation and looking forward to what you’re tackling next!
Great series. I must commend you for the excellent photos you supplied, some of them I have never seen before. What I don't understand about not being able to post the music for "Mob Rules" why is it you were able to do "Heaven & Hell" and the Ozzy era Lp's? A suggestion for another series, how about doing another of my favorite bands, BUDGIE! Thanks.
Damn the river this was such a formative album in my childhood, and December of 1983 or so it was on all the time in the background for multiple Dungeons & Dragons games, just hanging out, ya Dil made Sabbath a very different entity and hey I'm every bit as enamored with his take on this band as I was with Aziz, and I must say... I know it is sort of a divisive album in their discography but I absolutely love born again, the album they did with Ian Gillian. It is some of their most Sinister sounding music they've ever conjured up, not to mention the streams lyrical take that Gillian brought in was just masterfully mysterious and breadth of strange or cold air. I heard rumor that I only knees crew has found the original Master tapes, which were thought lost... So we may very well be looking at a remix and a special edition soon and oh man oh man I cannot wait. Anyway, thank you so much for everything you've done, I really appreciate the effort it took to collect these materials from various sources and kind of put your own take on them, I think it was masterfully done, if for no other reason than to have it all concisely in order and just easy to access the way you laid it out is wonderful. Cheers
That sux! I was looking forward to this review and footage. This is my favorite Sabbath album without the Oz. Perhaps you will get the permission someday to review this masterpiece? Thx for the great videos and I look forward to your next series.
Those copyrights are quite cryptic. Some music is ok and some is not. And it is little difficult (or time taking) to try to figure it out. Here it is quite much all major labels local music is not usable.
I was afraid that was gonna be the message in this video. I sure wish TH-cam would get their fair use policy sorted. Super excited about the van halen series. Btw, the tony martin sabbath record are mostly worth checking out
But that sucks that they're blocking you man! F*¢k them you're like actually doing a great job promoting the albums. I really enjoy this series on Black Sabbath. I'm about to purchase mob rules Amazon's got it for like $29 so I just may pull the trigger on it. Thanks for sharing the music Jeff
Thank you Rod! I’m bummed to have to end the series here but TH-cam wants to neuter my content AGAIN. I think I am going to do a bootleg video where I show my “unofficial releases.” Thanks for watching, brother!
Screw Rhino Records. Don't take it personally, Jeff. Some bot was triggered and they won't show any discretion towards your efforts. I throughly enjoyed your series on Sabbath and others that you have done. The quality of your videos are improving tangibly. You could string them together and make a documentary. The video clips, the voice over interviews and the commentary is top notch. I'm bummed that I won't hear your take on Born Again. That album stirs up some excrement often on online fan pages. It's either the greatest or worst effort by Sabbath, according to the fan base. I'm cool with it but it had its flaws. As far as The Mob Rules, I didn't get around to buying it in 1981. I did see them live when they supported it. It wasn't until the 90s that I bought the CD. It was alright but I didn't bond to it like Heaven and Hell. I like it more today. If you listen to H&H and Mob Rules back to back, it seems to flow as one album. Have fun on vacation and I am looking forward to your next series. Aerosmith? Maybe, just maybe....
Thanks Jim! I appreciate your kind words and complements. I think the main difference between the two albums (according to Tony) is that Ronnie was pretty agreeable to letting Sabbath be Sabbath on H&H while on Mob Rules he was much more assertive in the songwriting, recording and mixIng. I agree they could have been a double album. H&H is probably my favorite because like you I discovered it before Mob Rules. I’m sad to end the series here but at the same time looking forward to the next one!
Bummer in the summer. I never understood how some people post songs or videos and get no slap on the wrist but others do. Seems like Rhino, a once record store and indie label, turned into the tyrants they often opposed. I was anticipating your MOB RULES review as well. In my eyes this was the final Sabbath record to me. I wish you could do a review of LIVE AT LAST. That klunker needs to be spotlighted at least once.
Hey bro can you do a review on that Black Sabbath bootleg album I sent you about a year ago. If you still got it I think it was like live in the studio. ✌️🎸
That's very unfortunate:( was looking forward to it. Q: how was you able to do all the previous ones, without trouble?? Cheers for all the great episodes.
I really don’t know? The song “Heaven and Hell” got blocked from the previous video but the other music was fine. YT wasn’t letting me use anything from Mob Rules at all.
@@jeffwhitchervinyldestinati4486 That is strange, especially cause it's lesser known? That is crazy that you wanna give em free promotion, and the guidlines prevent yo from even posting the song, what a shame.
The hell with the fans these Corporations dont care about what really counts cause without the fans no one buys the back catalog and thats whats great about these type of youtube channels what a shame
Have a good time on vacation! Apparently the copywrite crazies haven't caught up with today's reality. You know how I discover records to buy? I hear the music on TH-cam by people like yourself posting it! Everybody doesn't live on Spotify or whatever. Blocking music is counterproductive!
Great album. The only tune I find doesn't really fit with the rest of the album is Slipping Away. It ls performed well, but it doesn't sound like Sabbath. It sounds too poppy, especially the chorus.
Sad to hear that, I was looking forward to this album the most in your Sabbath deep dives. The record companies at this point are a total lost cause. They totally don't get how people are introduced to music these days.
It’s always frustrating to me when I run into this problem. Not the first or last time. Nevertheless I’ll find another band’s catalog to dive into.
😭, Thanks for the Sabbath series none the less!
Thanks Kevin!

Right on brother!!
And then these record companies wonder why they're going out of business
Exactly!

I know…such a bummer. TH-cam sucks sometimes.
A fan of Sabbath and Duran 🤙
Those copyrights are quite cryptic. Some music is ok and some is not. And it is little difficult (or time taking) to try to figure it out. Here it is quite much all major labels local music is not usable.

Nevermind. At least you can upload a KISS album deep dive sooner. Hint hint :). Have a great vacation.

That's too bad, all I care about is the debut through Born Again anyways cause I'm not a big fan of the Martin era.
I never got into the Tony Martin stuff but some friends of mine swear by it.
Record companies are cutting their own throat with their rules. No wonder people are turning to streaming.
Agreed.
Born Again ????
I will have to see if that music is usable. I would never say no.
Probably why the labels are all but gone in California
