    I replaced the key housing of my dad’s Passat CC, tried to start the car a few times and it would not start. Almost shat myself from the impending ass whooping I would have received. I forgot to implant the transponder in the new housing. 😳 luckily I came across this video and I’ve rectified my mistake.

    I can't seem to get to the Chip as the opaic cover that seats the battery is fixed in. Was your's glued together before you made the vid? This solution seems to be the only option I have left as the lock and boot open work, but my unlock does nothing....

      Many key housings are originally glued. This is a dangerous process for electronics inside. In the film above you can see more or less what the middle looks like. You must try to cut gently, or use chemistry to spread the glue.

    Does it need to be recoded ?

      Richard Flowers make sure you take out the smal black chip and put it in the new one otherwise car won’t start. Doesn’t need be recoded
