In this episode I show how to fix a broken button on a B6 style VW passat key fob. In this video you can also see how to change the car key battery. #builtfixed #vwpassatkey #passatkeybroken
Thanks for the hint bro. I didn't noticed that seal in the process of dismounting. I managed to reach the circuit board and the opening small button is stuck. Also thanks to your hint i'll order a new small button and i'll replace it. Best regards!
Thanks for the video. it was helpful. However, I was lucky enough to open the key without cutting the yellow plastic from the sides. I simply slid a knife blade underneath the plastic.
Big question. The part of the circuit board that contacts the battery has four prongs that are soldered. On my mine, the solder is worn thin and it doesn't seem to get power from the battery. Can that be the case? Could send a pic but not sure how to do so.

Now the fob works fine again. I soldered back the old button.
