First moody mauve, now gloomy violet, when we we get "emotionally distant grey"

The way they settle and the coverage they give reminds me of the Vallejo washes. They have an amazing tendency to spread evenly over the flat surfaces while settling in the recesses.

Thank you for doing this, really useful to see the colours "in action"!

Thank you very Much! I will be buying the set now thanks to you! Other youtubers have reviewed them but I feel like they're being paid to talk about them. This was completely real and the colors looked great! Vallejo should send you a lil something.

The rubbing off in your testing at the end are the exact same experience I have with contrast paint. I find them to be very fragile and typically varnish before I start next steps like highlights or metallic paints. Simply because i will rub paint off from handling them when i brush against the model.

You do need to be a bit more careful, especially so with the xpress color range, as they have a longer drying time. Which is actually amazing for certain effects, like wetblending or glazing, or even just fixing mistakes a few mins later.

I found the black comes out quite green/blue, even more so than Army Painter's. I'm still searching for a 'black' black.

What's 22 divided into something even.....
My smartass: 2 groups of 11, or 11 groups of 2.

Is it easy to do a wetblend with these ?

They have a longer drying time than other contrast styles (though not as much as the new speedpaints), so should be easier, yes.
