Never underestimate our South Sea Island monsters! Speaking of monsters! ABs are pissed off with Ireland and out to prove a point, it is going to be gnarly and obviously physical - but i think the ABs have the emotional edge here - i look forward to being corrected and an IRFU win, we shall see - best of luck England and Fiji, may the best team win :-) Marler still is a class act!!!

There should be a new law in the game that says Props must take all pre game press conferences
So, he's not just a joker in interviews. He comes over as an intelligent and articulate man - enjoyable to listen to. I like the way he has a little pause and think, before answering some questions. Dan Cole also comes over very well - no cliches; unlike many footballers.

We are lucky to have guys like these two on our team.
Cole has done very little to justify his selection.
Cole is admittedly handy in the scrums, but he cant run and is very slow to react during open play (always the last to arrive at rucks). I pray Sinckler starts over him against SA.
I dont know squat about rugby.. but just watched England vs Fiji.. and man was that fun! So much action ! Marler is a damn unit! Im gonna watch the rest of the World Cup for sure.

The first two reporters asked terrible questions, Marley just responded accordingly.
The 2nd guy didnt even ask a bad question, as an England fan I was curious how Smith's mindset for big matches would effect his first ever QF appearance, Marler and him are quite close so it made some sense. The first guy with his 2 questions was WOEFUL and horrific tho.
I can't help but like Joe he says it like it is, and Dan Cole comes over very well.

Marler got asked stupid questions to start with and he treated them with contempt they deserved. When better questions came in he gave good answers.
You have to love Mr Marler! He makes a lot of sense and comes across as one of the wisest and most self aware players out there. But if you ask him garbage questions you deserve a garbage response

If you're prepared to ask dull questions, don't be disappointed when you don't get an exciting answer. Marler is not chaotic here at all. He actually comes across very well, speaks truthfully and simply doesn't have time for the shit questions.
Listening to Joe is always entertaining, and likely to be my highlight of this World Cup performances unfortunately.

The first 'interviewer' was a proper bellend. Maybe he now realises that, when you're asking questions to highly experienced and world class rugby players, bumbling through "My First Book of Obvious Interview Questions" just doesn't cut it. Joe Marler handled it all with aplomb, and Dan Cole's laughs just out of shot said it all. Respect to both of them for putting up with this nonsense.

Fascinating little moment at the beginning. I think Joe was firstly annoyed by the fact that the journalist diminished the significance of the game by calling it “quite a big game”, then patronizingly dismissed their previous efforts against Chile (who the journalist also insulted by explicitly stating that they didn’t provide a “tangible” challenge) and then gave him a series of presumptuous statements about his own assessment of the England team (rather than questions) which ended with “haven’t you?” and “can’t you?”
I can understand why Joe was irritated. Admittedly Joe behaved rambunctiously but it was the journalist who was being arrogant. Joe meanwhile defended the honour of his team mates, and the integrity of his previous opposition (Chile).
It sounded like journalist had already written an article and wanted Joe to provide exactly what his article needed. He was essentially telling Joe what to say. Personally, I love sports people who don’t provide mundane answers. Some character? Yes please!! Afterthought: Perhaps I should be commending the journalist for inspiring Joe’s interesting side!
