Unprecedented 111 calls puts squeeze on emergency resources

With the festive season underway, police are frustrated that a huge number of 111 calls are not emergencies.

555 for urgent but non life threatening calls. You can also contact your local station to report historic crime (crime that was committed hours or days ago, break-ins vehicle theft etc.)

Non emergency is 10.5 They have had ads for this number in the past
