We are from nz too, my wife had a septoplaty, FESS sinus surgery and a turbinoplasty and shes been having so many complications post surgery. Main one being sleeping issues, getting jerks while transitioning in sleep states snd being woken up by shortness of breath /collapsing throat/diaphragm We saw with a tourch today that she has a very large hole in her septum, doing the sinus rinses water would just come out of the other side without even a squeeze of the rinse bottle . So frustrated and helpless, we are so impacted by it, having a young child , not being able to work, seepless, clueless . It was supposed to fix her issues post covid , instead we are way worse off 😢
Yes. It is possible to close a 2cm septal perforation. There are multiple factors, including size that can help determine ability to close, including the location of the perforation and the height of the perforation.
Hello doctor, I had septum perpharosion surgery 5 months ago, the hole is closed, but now my nose feels hard, there is crusting and dryness in my nose. Shouldn't this have been fixed in the last 5 months?
very hard to trust drs who hurt you thanks for sharing

If you have a large perforation and leave it untreated could you nose completely collapse??
