Good job College Hill Honda. please where does the switch harness that contains the fuse relay terminal end with blue wire color and metal plate go, into 13 pin? video 6.45? 2012 exl
Thank you for making the video. The steps in the video are for the 2012 civic 4 door and it's almost the same for the 2012 civic coupe. Thanks again. For others who want to know how easy it is, If your not scared of taking off 4 screws and about a dozen clips, you will be fine installing fog lights on your civic.
I put this in my civic LX 2013 all the steps are similar except for the 1 pin connector i had to refer to the manual and it seemed similar to the one in the video.
Hi there. I see that you used a combination switch that allow you to turn on the fog lights. What about a button to turn on the lights? Is it possible? Thanks.
I talked with a tech for a second and he was saying that the aftermarket fogs are just being tapped into the wrong system. The fogs should be hooked up through a relay and not drawing power through the AC but rather a different accessory power source.
Where exactly is the 1-pin connector? The video says "inner fender" but how far back? Will it be found taped somewhere or already connected to something?
I have a 2012 honda EX coupe and I want to install these aftermarket yellow fogs lights but I don't know what wire to connect the fog lights too?? Plus the lights didn't come with instructions. Does anyone know what wire I can find so they will work ?
I suppose you could cut a hole in the frame where the sub would normally go. You would probably would want to change the rear deck to that of the Si so you have speaker holes, assuming that would all work. We personally have not tried it.
I've never tested them side by side so I can't say. The bulbs are more than likely the same but where you will probably tell the difference is the quality of the lens optics.
I bought the kit from Spyder. I don't think I got a combination switch. I think I have the button that goes next to the traction control button. What do I do?
I have used the Luminics Krypton series 2500K JDM Yellow, and I loved it a lot. I think the light output has something to do with the luminosity of the bulbs.
How's it going I installed a set of oem fog lights on my 2014 civic it was pretty much the same set up besides the fuse needing to be plugged in into the fuse box in the engine bay. I'm not sure what is going on though I go to turn on the fog lights and nothing happens even the dash says they are on.. I got a tester and it says the blue wire is acting as a ground do you think you can help me out ? Thank you
@DeepCovere Cutting the bumper would be the most difficult part for a LX. Your best bet would be to view the PDF instructions on our web site to see if this is something you are willing to tackle.
how to replace an already mounted front fog light on a Honda Civic 2012 AT Executive ? Lens ws broken, light still works but i will have to fix it; I hope this can be done by removing the front plastic cover that embeds the fog light.. and hopefully not need to remove the full front bumper
Quick question, i have noticed that you guys are plugging in a 20a Fuse for the fuse, am i right? Well i bought a non-OEM one, installation went smooth, but the problem that many of those who buy these non-OEM ones face is the AC fuse seems to blow(don' t know how and don't know how they're related), and the fuse that comes with it is a 15a one. The fuse for the ac that blows is 7.5a. I' am not trying to increase the fuse's Amps, but i'm trying to get an insight on what the problem might bE??
Some part numbers are discontinued and are no longer available from Honda. Call or contact us via our website to inquire about availability for your particular model.
yes that is the main issue. Let's say i do increase the fuse from 7.5a to 10a. is this a very big difference, what would happen to the wires if i was going on a 6 hour drive? I'm going to contact the technician who is in charge of this service, the service i bought the lights from, and see what their input is. there are also a few minorities out there with the same issue as me and i am trying ot get to the bottom of it lol
will increasing the fuse on the AC be a dangerous thing to do or will it compensate considering that there's an increase in voltage going through it. any advise? i appreciate you answering
i have an LX and am a bit hesitant on cutting my bumper, but other than that, is there any other tricky instructions that a novice might have difficulities with cuz this will be my first time modifying a car?
I installed these lights and found the harness plug on the car near the washer fluid reservoir was filled with grease. I thought it was dielectric grease but it was not. After cleaning the grease out the lights worked.
Hum... this video shows a bumper that has holes for install. however, my car doesn't have those holes on the sides of the grill. Where am I supposed to put my light in. I suppose they want me to buy a different bumper just for an install
Again, similar but the kits are different. Bumper installation will be different for sure. www.collegehillshonda.com/instructions/civic/2013/4dr/foglights.pdf
You guys have put together some good how to's.one thing I haven't read. Are these lights adjustable??? I did an install on a 1996 Dodge Ram with lights from a 3rd party website. These were the headlights and were not that good of a quality and not adjustable very well. Is this kit an OEM kit??? and what about the adjustment and quality or brightness of the lights. I have a 2012 Infinity with factory installed fog lights and they are not really that great. I would not spend the money to install them myself. They are not that great. With that said are these of good quality?? Thank you Robert

It should be a 2 hour installation or so. It would be best to contact some dealers to get a few labor quotes. The total labor will vary a little dealer to dealer.

I'm confused when it comes to replacing the combination switch.
Can you guys please do a fog light installation video for the newer civics? I have a 2015 civic lx sedan.
You can buy a combo switch from Honda separately in most cases. They come standard with a Genuine Honda fog light kit however.
You do have to cut the bumper and install fog light trim covers for LX applications.
I talked with a tech for a second and he was saying that the aftermarket fogs are just being tapped into the wrong system. The fogs should be hooked up through a relay and not drawing power through the AC but rather a different accessory power source.
You can still get the side underbody spoilers in that color but not the front and rear.

Nice. Swap the halogen bulb of the fog light for high output LED bulbs in yellow and you’ll have some nice lighting during foggy conditions.

What is the clip placed at 2:11? Is it necessary?
It is a spring nut. Without that piece there is nothing for the screw to tap into.
