Definitely one of the more "not" fun fights in the series, but that just makes this a very satisfying accomplish for those who have pulled it off, you included man! Congrats on this!
Masayoshi Tanimura fights a discounted Jingu and his SWAT goons on a rooftop similar to Kiryu had in Yakuza 1 Original / Kiwami 1. Also a way to tie-up any loose ends connected to the story with the 10 billion yen incident a repeated plot point used back in 2005 - 2010. Four legendary men and a mysterious woman are somehow involved.
Between this and the Jingu fight, the Kiwami Jingu fight seems a bit easier. I've never played the ps2 version but I couldn't imagine how unfair it would be with ps2 combat.
@@yubbletor2665 I can tell you Kiryu is a lot slower when he moves in the PS2 original version, so are his rush combo attacks due to limitations / budget on the hardware what they could do back at that time in 2005, 2006. The SWAT guys with Jingu constantly revive after you defeat both of them. You're only required to just take one of them down and then go straight right directly at Jingu.
FUCK Jingu, That is literally the worst boss fight in the entire series. I normally don't use weapons in boss fights, but Jingu and his CS Go wannabe flunkies did not deserve a fair and honorable fight.
I still remember, the first time I was going to beat y4 I finished the side quest first for XP and I got this one set of equipment that gives you immunity to bullets. I was like: "hmm, I'm going to fight an old police guy. Would be weirdly inconvenient if they had guns." so I equipped the set and saved me from this annoying boss

I think this is a very strong boss fight narratively, it's just that it doesn't end up as a fun fight due to mechanics. It would have been amazing if they just gave him a one time power up to all his attributes so you can stomp through them all in a cool way. That said, amazing work! This is the closest we'll get to that outcome.
Yeah that's pretty much it, this fight perfectly summarizes the scumminess of munakata and how (generally) it's optimal to kill him first, showing how tanimura's resolve beats that of munakata's manpower, but in execution it's STAB SOUND UWAAAAGH GUNSHOT STAB SOUND UWAAAAGH
@@tecmangames69 I disagree, I believe that the feeling of annoyingness is because it's not particularly a fair fight, because there's way too many people and some even wield knives and when you're focused on these 7000 people, Munakata fucking shoots you so yes it is annoying but it is also fucking difficult
