  • A few months back I did a video on how I run my Dillon XL750 in 2024. Kind of an update to when I first unboxed the press in 2020 and what I've done to it since then.
Well, I've had my Hornady Lock-n-Load MUCH longer (~2012) and I've added (removed, swapped, updated) quite a few changes over the years even as recently has a week ago.
So this video is how I currently run my Hornady LnL for 45ACP (dedicated to only that caliber) in 2024. Hint - it's now the equivalent or rather my version of an Ammo Plant without all the big, noisy and expensive components.

Hi. I have one of your case feeders and it works like a charm. Thank you. You do great work.

AP needs an extra station for the RCBS die lock and a little extra clearance between moving parts

Couldn't agree more. I wish Hornady/Dillon would refresh their 750/AP to more than 5 stations...same design, only more stations...like 10 of them! FA had the right idea, time will tell if they executed well.

I bought a hornady pro jector press kind of 3rd hand. It's missing some parts for the priming assembly. I would like to get it set up like you have yours. But I'm having some trouble finding replacement parts. Any suggestions? It's supposed to be the same press as lnl just without the bushings and a different priming assembly which I think is part of my issues. I want to get it set up for either 9mm or 223 and then leave it as a stand alone so I'm not changing it back and forth.

I would give Hornady a call and let the know you need to replace some missing parts. I have found Hornady to be great with customer service and often the replacement parts are sent free of charge.

I have problems with my Hornady LnL powder dispenser, the plastic cylinder that it came with over time slowly wore out to the point where it won’t stay in and powder begins leaking and eventually it will fall off spilling everywhere. Hornady sent a new one but it’s so tight that it’s impossible to get it down in there very far and it’s not straight and squared up. Anyone else struggling with that and what solutions?

Two solutions that come to mind. If you have a heat gun, turn it to the lowest setting and apply heat around the base/tube so it will seat fully. Another option is to replace the Hornady plastic version with something a bit more robust --> dramworx.com/products/hornady/

      Thanks. I’ll look into both.

Case loader = $300.00 USD to your door in the us...? Pass...

Ummm, me thinks you haven't checked prices in a LONG time. As of 5 minutes ago the Hornady case feeder and a REQUIRED (if you want it to actually function) case feeder plate with tax and shipping is $598.49 from MidwayUSA and $527.76 from Brownells. LOL/ROFL $300 to my door in the U.S. It's big/tall, needs mounting space on the bench, it's noisy (and can be quirky from the videos I've seen and what I've read in online forums) and it's EXPENSIVE. I'm sure there is some 3D printed hack/clone version that falls into your estimated dollar range but that still has most of the issues I choose to avoid. Yeah, pass on the Hornady/clone case feeder for sure.
