I’m not surprised. Even the most expensive and largest homes in Australia tend not to be as enormous as some of the Beverley hills mansions. There just isn’t enough room here. Most of our citizens like within 30km of the border in one of 5 major cities.

You can't really see the larges houses in this video, and I think the driver might of missed some of the roads where the large Mansions are.
Toorak is not the Beverly Hills of Australia - Beverly Hills is a small city in LA. This is an inner-city suburb of Melbourne, it is more comparable to the Upper East Side NYC, Chicago's Gold Coast or Mayfair London. Toorak's charm is only felt by being there. Toorak feels more natural, Beverly Hills feels too flashy. The relaxed feel, the tree lined streets, the neoclassical houses and the small but far from unassuming shopping strips (wealthy area) is what makes Toorak. You can't get a sense of Toorak from watching it on a driving video.
